Manti shrugged. "Just go back to the camp for now," he said, "Or stick around and mingle with the villagers."

“I’ll just head back to my camp and rest.” He said to Manti, extended his right muscular for a soft yawn. “I feel stressful enough for a relaxation.”
Chris went out of Manti’s home, leaving the village to head back to his campsite. The hunter hope there weren’t any other people like him and wild kids doing any monkey businesses at him while walking through the deep jungles of the islands.

They let him go.
John stepped out of his tent at the research camp the next morning. Noticing a commotion near the entrance, he went to investigate and found Chris. He was talking to the researchers, having pleasant, normal conversations. John chuckled, then walked up to Chris, waving. "G'day, Chris!" he said, cheerfully. "You look refreshed!"

The giant hunter felt much better after yesterday’s incidents. He was simply asking his best questions and talking about the researchers’ opportunities. When John greeted him, Chris greeted back with a grin.
“Yep, a nice long sleep and some fruit for breakfast at my campsite made things better for me.”

"Good to hear," said John. "Do you want me to go over some basic rules and explain what we're going to have you do?"

“Sure.” He answered with a nod. “I’ll do whatever I have to do in order to leave this island and hopefully won’t repeat the same problem.”

John raised an eyebrow, apparently assuming that Chris had originally agreed to stick around as a full-time guard. Oh, well. This island had was of drawing people under its metaphorical spell, and Chris could--COULD--change his mind.
But, he had work to do. He started by showing Chris around the camp. The hunter had entered from the east, and that's where they were at the present time. He started the tour pointing out some of the tents the team members lived in, singling out one as the tent Julie used to live in before becoming a jungle girl. To the west, in the center of the camp, he pointed out the research tents; one for plant study, one for animal study, one for water study and one for archeological study. The administration tent was on the western side of those tents, which he made mention of. On the south side of camp, he pointed out the recreation tents; a dining tent, a game/TV room tent and a bar tent. When they passed the scientific tents, he pointed out the hospital tent in the western side of the center, and then pointed at the three administration tents; the tent in the middle was the leader's office, the one to its right, their left was for meetings, and the one on the left, their right was for non-scientific supplies.
John led Chris to that tent first.

Chris wasn’t sure why John raised his eyebrow in front, thinking if he made any possible mistake. Though, he was a tall and well-bulit who was big enough to wrestle with anyone, but wasn’t trying to cause trouble. The hunter followed him for a tour, looking at the tents and seeing some people come in and out. The campsite wasn’t big like at prisons, but it reminded him of that if inmates weren’t treated like they’re supposed to be. Chris and John went into the tent together to see what kind of supplies they used in the island. The hunter had always wondered if they had their own restraints to nab poachers and cannibals.

John entered the tent first, and Chris followed.
The first thing Chris would notice was that they didn't use any bondage gear, but they were armed to the teeth with all sorts of guns. But John pointed out that there were more tranquilizer guns than firearms. Oh, there were cages, but they weren't for putting people in them, but animals, like large kennel carriers. But the firearms were borderline military-grade, and John could tell that Chris was staring at him about those guns.
"They're for emergencies only," he said as if he was reading the big dude's mind. "But we get a lot of clowns come to this island looking to cause trouble."

“So, you only used them if any of the wild animals come to your campsite and attack.” The giant replied to John who was somewhat find it interesting, getting ready to ask another question in curiosity. “Makes sense. The cages are used for the animals to send them back where they belong on this island after putting them to sleep with a tranquilizer gun. Do you guys also get some blood from all the animals for researching too?”

"You're on the right track," said John. "The animals here are just like normal animals, they mostly leave us alone. The most we get is a cat or a dog or a moneky sneakin' in and tryin' to steal food. And yeah, mostl we just tranq the animals, tag 'em, draw some blood and let 'em go. We have some geneticists here, they've traced most of the animals to mainland Asia.
"There are some weird animals. The apes here prefer to be left alone, but don't make them angry. Also, we have creatures called 'beastmen'. Again, they prefer to be left alone, but you can probably tell what they are."

“Knew it all along and that’s pretty interesting.” Chris replied with a smile and his eyebrows up for asking the right question. “I was assuming you would catch some larger sized felines here like lions and tigers and then let ‘em go later, but it sounds like it has never happened before or not yet.”

"Felines in this area of the island mostly look like your typical kitty, but... bigger." John tried to show how big with his hands, to show that these kitties were the size of medium-sized dogs. He gave up. "Beagle-sized to bobcat-sized. The big ones live inland, like the mountains. Think... pumas... mountain lions, whatever you Yanks call 'em.
"By the way, would you like some coffee? We've got hyperlocal--grown on the island, and it is the best coffee I've ever had."

“What about the canines?” The hunter asked again curiously. “They’re also in a similar size or way different?”

"Eh, probably as big as a dingo," John remarked, only to realize that his reference probably wouldn't work with someone who'd likely never been to Australia. "Sorry, I meant about as big as maybe..." he shook his head, scrunching his lips, but only to think. "About as big as a Golden Retreiver, or... Oh! Right! Wil E. Coyote. How big do coyotes get?"
