“I might tell my friends and co-workers about that when I get home from this island.” Chris said to Manti when he heard about the security detail, wanting to be more professional than he was before. “It’s sounds a like something they could want me to do, so I could get less problems.”
The giant hunter knew he had to do better, realizing ever moment of his situation.

"No, no, this position starts tomorrow," Manti corrected. "Well, with a two-weeks notice, of course. But what have you got to lose? Tamou's a disciplinarian, in a good way, and after what happened with your so-called 'friends', you could do much better than that company."

“With the all incidents that happened to me, they had one of our helicopters here I could use to go back home after packing up.” He said to Manti about what his former peers left in the island. “But I could take the position if needed. I’ve never expected to see my ex-workers going from average guys into Sickos who lost their minds and substances. Me and the others from our organization are nothing like them.”

"Just take the job," Julie huffed. "There won't be another helicopter for a while. Not after the s**t that just happened."

“Fine, I’ll take it.” The giant replied stressfully with his eyes rolled from what jungle girl said to him like if she was his wife.

“FINALLY!” John sighed, fed up. He walked up to Chris, effortlessly pulled him up from his seat and shook his hand. With a strong, firm grip, and a smile that was outwardly warm and welcoming, but with a hilariously menacing subtext.

Chris didn’t care what John was doing with his eyes half shut in stress, as he simply just there almost like he was tired, being dragged by John. When his right hand was reached tightly for a shake, he moved up his arm up and down normally without a wince despite how tight it was.

To Chris's surprise, John's smile turned genuine when he patted his shoulder. "Get some rest, mate," he said. "You look tired."
"Are you sure you don't want any coffee or tea?" Manti asked. "Or perhaps some 'awa?"
"Kava," said John. "Why yes, Chief, I would like some 'awa. How about you, Chris?"

“Well, I guess I could take some nice cold water to cool myself down.” The giant hunter answered to John and Manti, extending his arm down after a hand shake, with his face still stressfully dull. “I should be glad we won’t be dealing anymore sickos for now.”

"On this island?" Manti chuckled. "Our two friends here," he pointed at Julie and Kainak*, much to the couple's embarrassment, "Have gotten themselves in a lot of trouble--too much trouble, if you ask me!"
*[Kainak is Kaitan's new name, because I didn't like Kaitan]

“They don’t look like they play around at all from my point of view.” He said to Manti about Julie and Kainak. “I know not all jungle dwellers are crazy kids playing in the wild like animals and knew it when I first met them.”

"I'm 23!" Julie snapped. If she were in an anime, cross-popping veins would appear on her head.
"And you're angrier that he mistook you for a teenager?" Manti laughed. He turned to Chris, who was trying hard not to laugh. "You're gonna like it here, kid."

Chris had never revealed during his time in the island, but he was no longer a kid compared to the dwellers’ age in his mind. The giant was either in his late thirties or early forties.
“I’ve been to a lot a jungles worldwide.” He said to Manti with a grin. “And even met a lot of dwellers. Some are nice and easygoing, some are protective, some are violently and cannibalisticly dangerous enough to forcefully wear my straitjackets and taken to the asylum.”

Manti only called Chris "kid" as a joke, but that was neither here, nor there. But Manti was in his mid-to-late 40s, so it didn't hurt to joke around.
"I don't doubt it, cousin," he said. "But Pomaika'i's different, just like everywhere else is different. Although, the cannibals here only eat honored dead or horrible people. You'll be fine! Should I tell you about the one time I was invited to a cannibal party? I had an old enemy for dinner." He laughed, and could see Chris wasn't laughing. Luckily, he wasn't frightened, just annoyed with Manti's awful pun.

“I’m sure you guys handle it with your own way like I do.” He replied to Manti with a grin, asking him a question in curiosity for what is he about to do next. “So, what’s next?”
