It was the end to another beautiful day in the Indian Jungle. The sun was slowly beginning to set over the western horizon, and all manner of life was settling in for what would be yet another night. Yes, things certainly seemed as typical as it could be for most in this vast expanse of wilderness. There was however...one individual who didn't fit in this scene. She wasn't just an out of place specimen in this wild environment, but...someone utterly lost without truly meaning to be here in the first place. The soul in question was a young Japanese girl by the name of Emiko, and...her predicament actually started a while back.
It was difficult to say an exact date, but it would be safe to say that perhaps two years ago was when everything actually started. It was during that time that this young girl founds a new, and growing fascination towards the culture and lifestyle of the Indian/Hindu-lifestyle. Prior to this, she had lived more of a sheltered life ignorant of the many different cultures that existed out there. But when she stepped out of her bubble and discovered what existed, it blew her mind.
Emiko became obsessed with India and the richness it had to offer. She spent a great deal of her free time absorbing whatever content she could to take in more of it. Books, television shows, free lectures and leisure studies at college... She just couldn't get enough of it. And the more she learned about it, the more she found herself wanting to be a part of that world.
After a couple of years of taking all this stuff in, she was given an extraordinary opportunity as part of her college-career to see what living in that world would be like. Through a student exchange program of sorts, Emiko would be able to travel to certain places around the world and experience the day-to-day lifestyle of a student in that country. It was an opportunity that she wasn't about to turn down, but made sure that the experience was not just a mock-lifestyle. She wanted the full experience without any strings attached. Emiko would end up getting her way which excited her, but...the excitement wouldn't last long...
Once the paperwork had been finalized, Emiko was flown to India and escorted to a small town about half an hour's ride from a bigger city and it's university. As part of her 'authentic experience', she'd have to live in this little town and abide by all the rules set in place there. That meant performing various chores, living modestly according to the customs there, and keeping up with any demand made of her while also attending to her studies... It was a difficult transition and one that she seemed to fail at around every corner. Even still, she did her best to comply, but did admittedly find herself enjoying things less and less the more time went on.
The weeks that she stayed there proved to be hard, but Emiko did at least enjoy being given freedom from her temporary responsibilities on weekends. She often used this time to relax, or enjoy a night on the town in the bigger city. On this particular day in the present moment, she had decided to do a little jungle exploration. This proved to be a big mistake... Emiko had walked the jungle paths with her elders many times before in her working hours. But...still very much a green thumb in terms of navigation, she didn't always know where she was going. And that's how she ended up horribly lost...
Emiko wasn't exactly sure how it happened, but somehow she had veered off the normal path and found herself in the unfamiliar territory of the jungle. That...was around mid-afternoon. And rather than staying put, the silly girl had continued to trudge through the jungle getting even more lost as she went along. It was a recipe for disaster and a situation made worse with the midday giving way to evening...soon to be night...
If the fact that she was hopelessly lost in with night fast approaching wasn't bad enough, poor Emiko was also not dressed for the traveling she had been doing at all. This was supposed to be a quick nature walk... As a result, the naive girl had came out into the jungle dressed in only a casual outfit. A light blue dress with a knee length skirt, and a matching short sleeve top. A white sash acted as a 'belt' to combine the shirt and skirt. And aside from a simple pair of black slip-on flats on her bare feet, she wore little else...
The casual dress left her arms and legs horribly exposed to the foliage which irritated her skin as she went along. Her skirt seemed to get hooked onto everything, and the path forward was so monotonously slow... The only good thing about her attire was the fact that at least she had her long brown hair pulled back in a ponytail keeping it off her neck, and her matching colored eyes were constantly attuned to the pathways before her... Otherwise...nothing about her attire was appropriate for what she was doing...
As Emiko traveled on, she realized with the fading light that night would soon be upon her... Despite her lack of experience, even she knew traveling in the dark was a bad idea... So doing perhaps the first right thing since getting lost, she decided to seek shelter somewhere and wait til morning to go on. Where that place would be though was...anyone's guess...
After a bit of silly reasoning, Emiko came to the conclusion that perhaps the trees might be the best place to nest for the night due to their height and safety they offered. It was a good solution, but...getting into a tree proved to be a unique challenge... It took Emiko a good half hour to find a tree she thought she could climb, and another half hour to actually climb it. During the efforts to do so, she'd hilariously fail at almost every turn showing her inexperience to any onlooker. And by the time she did figure it out, she could only climb about ten feet up before having to stop lacking the strength to go any higher.
At long last, she found herself on a large tree branch with the very last rays of light fading from the sky. Falling against the tree trunk tiredly, she started rubbing her arms and hands to ease the scratches and scrapes she sustained on the trip up. But present on her face was a clear expression of worry that she couldn't shake. She was just realizing how lost she was and how hopeless her situation was...
"...What am I going to do...? How am I going to get out of this jungle...?" She'd say to...no one in particular... "...I never wanted any of this to happen... I just...wanted to explore a little bit. I never thought I'd end up lost... This trip...this entire experience has been such a waste... I just...want to go home..."
Feeling disheartened, Emiko fell back against the tree trunk and looked over the horizon to see the sun finally fade away. As it did, the night setting in, she knew that it would be a long night. She hoped she could sleep through it and maybe get back tomorrow, but...something told her it wasn't going to be that easy. In fact, she had no idea just how difficult getting home would be if it even happened at all...

The jungle settled as night fell.
Not that it could be said the jungle ever truly slumbered in full, but there was a marked difference as sunlight faded from between the sea of foliage. Those that claimed the jungle as their own during the morning hours slowly made their way to shelter, sluggish from a day of feasting. Even the nuisance of the Bandar-log settled themselves after hours of mindless revelry and chaos, their insatiable appetites sated for a time.
As the various diurnal residents prepared themselves for rest, their nocturnal neighbors rose from their slumber to claim the jungle night.
Kaa stirred.
The mighty python had coiled himself amongst the branches of his abode more times than could be counted, thick coils resting upon equally thick bark. Darkened scales that were scarcely distinguishable from the foliage shifted in place, powerful muscles stretching and contracting as he brought himself to alertness. Golden eyes lazily blinked amongst the all-encompassing darkness; a gentle glint reflected from the faint moonlight that penetrated the thick canopy of foliage the only break in his camouflage.
His shovel-like snout rested upon a mount of his own coils as he savored the cooling temperatures of the rapidly descending jungle night. The serpent idly observed a passing owl…who upon recognizing his presence immediately swung around and fled in the opposite direction. Kaa chuckled, savoring the reputation he’d earned over the long years as he uncurled himself from rest, pops and kinks working down his spine.
Admittedly the stay owl didn’t have much to fear, the serpent didn’t feel particularly included to give chase to such elusive prey. Besides, his appetite was peckish for something a bit more filling than what a small feathery snack could offer. Those deer he’d been observing close to the river had certainly been putting on weight, and if he caught one of them—
…his tongue idly sampled the air…
—Kaa froze.
Impossible.
What lethargy still clung to his frame was quickly dismissed, powerful muscles contracting with barely contained excitement as the familiar flavor struck his taste buds. His forked tongue flickered from his maw once again, taking in all the scents of the jungle. The brilliant hue of aromas that danced along his tongue was a familiar background, but beneath the common prey that frequented his territory, there was something else lurking beneath.
A delicate sweetness he’d sampled only a few times before.
Man.
This deep in the jungle?
Golden eyes narrowed as he sampled the air once again, attempting to determine which direction the sweetness was coming from. Somewhat troublesome, as it had apparently been swept downwind by the evening breeze masking their approach. He would need to remember that when hunting season rolled around again and the village was out in full force. Though he was undoubtedly one of the mightiest predators in the jungle, even he wouldn’t try his luck against a full hunting party.
Though that was a distant concern for now.
This lone scent was close…far closer than it had any right to be.
It’d been a few years since he’d last snacked on someone from the village, but he would’ve though the warnings and cautionary tales would’ve lasted a while longer. His hunting ground was distant enough from the village it’d take some actual effort to arrive here…which meant this was a foolish soul who though they could challenge him, or an even greater fool who’d somehow managed to wander themselves into the metaphorical lion’s den.
A branch cracked.
Kaa blinked.
There’s no way…
Though massive, the serpent moved with surprising subtleness as he weaved himself through the canopy of branches, lowering himself towards the source of the disturbance. Golden eyes pierced through the shroud of foliage as he neared lower half of the tree, their attention drawn by the seemingly impossible tenant that had taken residence amongst the lower branches.
Kaa smiled.
It seemed impossible…as though he’d never woken.
Yet it seemed fortune smiled upon him this day.
The young girl-cub who’d settled upon one of the lower branches of his abode was certainly an unusual sight this deep in the jungle, even beyond her mere presence. The extra layers she adorned herself with were unlike anything he’d seen from the village before, practically screaming ‘here I am’ to every predator in a five mile radius. Her pale flesh was another unusual sight, though it portrayed a certain sweetness that some of the other villagers he’d sampled lacked.
A tail flick wiped away the drool hanging from his maw.
She looked so lost.
Alone.
Helpless.
A smile stretched across his snout.
Well, he supposed he’d be a poor host of he didn’t greet his dinner guest.
Uncountable yards of coils unspooled from their resting places, relaxed muscles tensing and stretching as they were prepared for a rather strenuous night. Despite their immense size and weight, they nary made a sound as he traversed further down the tree. The wily serpent stifled a giggle at the girl’s obliviousness as his snout hovered above her head, tongue flickering as he sampled her delectable aroma. Now that he was closer, he could see she was a little on the thin side, but there was still plenty of meat on those bones he could savor.
Shrewd thoughts danced across the serpent’s mind as her frightful muttering escaped her lips.
Too easy.
“Excuse me,” Kaa hissed, slithering out from the darkness and into her line of sight. The startled squeak that escaped her lips was something to relish, dark eyes widening as they took in his serpentine frame. His snout hovered a few feet before her, encompassing her vision and attention even as his tail snuck down from behind and out of sight, ready to act at a moment’s notice. The smile that graced his maw as sincere as could be as he drank in her graceful form. “Forgive this humble serpent for intruding, but I couldn’t help but overhear your little predicament…and well, I couldn’t possibly live with myself if I left a lost girl-cub to fend for themselves this deep in the jungle. Might you be willing to accept some assistance?”

Emiko had just given her arms and hands one final rub before settling back against the branch and letting out a faint sigh. It...was quite literally all she had time for before the sun set in it's entirety leaving her in near pitch black conditions. And with the night came a whole new sense of danger she wasn't expecting. The atmosphere had just...suddenly turned incredibly foreboding...
The young girl was already concerned before the sun set, but now feelings of fear were really settling in. Every little sound around the jungle had her jumping and twitching in fear. Though the moonlight overhead did provide a decent illumination where it shined, it did little to reveal where the sounds were coming from. And somehow, those sounds just...seemed to echo throughout the tree tops making it impossible to pinpoint where they were.
The jungle was downright terrifying at night and Emiko honestly didn't know how she was going to make it til morning. Sleeping? That seemed like a pipe-dream at best now. And as spooky as things were, they were only about to get much, much worse...
There was a brief period of silence before the young girl heard something up above her. The sound of...literal words? Confused by this, Emiko suddenly looked up and gasped seeing what had to have been the scariest sight in this jungle yet. It was the head of a giant python staring at her! That in of itself was enough for her to slink back against the tree in fear. But...when it dawned on her that this creature was actually TALKING, that's when disbelief mixed in with the fear and left her feeling a little more than incoherent.
In utter shock, all Emiko could do for the moment was stare back at the snake in silence unsure of what to do or say. Her breathing would start to become labored as the fear really set in. And her body became noticeably tense under the stress. Her mind was so filled to the brim with fear and astonishment that...she didn't know how to process this. And as such, her words seemed to reflect that...
"...H-how can...Oh god... A talking snake...? I'm...in the jungle with a snake...Talking snake! How is...this possible... What...am I supposed to do...?"

Well that won’t do.
Kaa supposed that fear was only natural when such defenseless prey was confronted by a predator of his magnitude, but blind terror wouldn’t offer him any favors. The young thing’s speech was already devolving from understandable words into inane babble as dread slowly gripped her mind. The serpent pulled his snout back a fraction, offering the girl-cub some minute breathing room.
He offered a friendly smile.
“I mean you no harm, little one,” Kaa said, tone surprisingly soothing for a creature of his scale. He’d admit he was sorely tempted to stroke her silky hair with his tail, but something told him that wouldn’t go over well until she’d calmed down a little. Her petrified gaze refused to part with his own, gawking at his presence as her body coiled with barely restrained terror.
That was alright.
It served his purposes well enough.
“Why don’t you calm down.”
A trio of spirals erupted from his gaze, flashing across his irises faster than could be witness by a human’s limited gaze. Yet these ephemeral spirals found themselves reflected through his prey’s fearful gaze, flashes of color that wrapped around her irises and swept into her skull. The suggestion alone wouldn’t remove her terror, but it would certainly keep her from descending into blind panic.
“I do apologize for startling you. It wasn’t my intention, but it’s just been so long since I’ve had guests and well… I suppose I couldn’t help but introduce myself,” Kaa apologized, tone so perfectly contrite it would’ve been impossible for someone to tell he was lying through his teeth. This young thing would have no chance of noticing the truth in her fearful and slightly addled frame of mind. The serpent drew himself a tad closer, chancing himself now that he’d offered some semblance of calmness to the girl-cub’s incoherent thoughts. “You may call me Kaa, the owner of this humble abode you’ve found yourself in this dark night. Might have your name, girl-cub?”

The hysteria that Emiko was feeling was quite strong, and would have been made worse had the serpent tried anything dastardly against her. In that moment, she was a panicking time bomb just waiting to descend into a frightful fit that could have spelt trouble for both of them. It was a delicate situation to be sure, but...one that the snake seemed prepared to handle in his own unique way.
He initially gave her a bit of space to breathe before offering reassurance that he meant no harm with a tone of voice that was friendly and calming. It...wasn't really enough to make a difference on it's own, but it helped to keep the emotions Emiko felt from escalating further. What really changed the situation however was when the snake released just a fraction of his power with a slight command mixed in with it...
Being lost in her fears, Emiko hardly noticed the trio of rings flashing through Kaa's eyes as they were too swift to be noticed in her panicked state. Yet, their effects were profound and immediately felt... Those same trio of rings would reflect in Emiko's eyes which washed over her mind and sent a relaxing wave of bliss through her system that made her more compliant to do as the snake had instructed... It was difficult to say what had happened, but the young girl, once on the verge of an all out panic attack suddenly felt a little calmer. The concern was still there, but...it was like she had just been given a drug to settle her nerves... His powers were effective on her and proof that she was quite susceptible.
After blinking a couple of times in confusion, Emiko heard the snake apologize for startling her and then proceed to introduce himself as Kaa. Naturally it...came as quite a shock to Emiko to hear that the creature could not only speak, but also had a name to go along with it... What sort of bizarre world had she stumbled into? For the moment at least, despite still being a little nervous, Emiko was able to speak with a bit more coherence than she had before.
"...I...I'm sorry for panicking. I just...have never met a talking snake before. It defies everything I was taught growing up..." Emiko tried to explain before whipping back to the question that was asked. "...My name, though? It's Emiko. But you...Kaa? That's your name? How is it that you're capable of speaking? I didn't think animals were capable of speech..."

Interesting.
He hadn’t expected such an intense reaction.
Few creatures were capable of resisting the full might of his gaze, but it’d been some time since he’d found someone so profoundly affected by such a meager display of power. She’d certainly be unable to resist being put under once he’d unleashed his hypnotic gaze. Though oddly enough, it almost made him want to wait and see how far he could take this before he was forced to play that card.
Well, let’s see where this takes us.
“Oh, just one of the few tricks I’ve picked up over the years,” Kaa answered, quickly waving off the line of questioning. He had little interest in explaining his entire life story to the girl-cub, not when they were so many more fun things they could be doing.
He stifled a giggle.
“Though if we’re talking about odd sights, I must say it’s rather unusual to see a girl-cub this deep in the jungle. Don’t the village elders warn about the dangers of traveling too deep into the jungle anymore?” Kaa asked, feigning concern as gave the young girl a rather obvious once over. Even ignoring the rather impractical clothing she was wearing for a trip this deep in the jungle, the dirt and grim that covered her exposed flesh and stained her cloth was an obvious sign she hadn’t had the best of times. Given how pitiful human eyesight was at night, he could only imagine what the trip must’ve been like for her. “Why, you’re quite fortunate that you didn’t run into a hungry tiger! There’s been a rather nasty one that’s claimed part of the jungle for himself recently – I can only imagine what would happen if you came across him.”
A lie, of course.
No predator would dare intrude on his territory.
If the girl-cub did accept the deception, it was a good sign the little thing really did have no idea what she’d gotten herself into. That she clearly didn’t recognize him from any of the local legends was a good sign she wasn’t much of a local herself…which hopefully meant nobody would be looking for her once she vanished down his gullet.
“Not that you need to fear any tiger while I'm around.”

Kaa didn't really give Emiko much in the way of an answer she was looking for. The hows and whys of his abilities were a mystery that Emiko had really wanted to know about. However, she'd find that these things would need to take a place on the back burner as the python brought to light more immediate things to her attention she hadn't considered... Namely, reminding her of just how lost she was and that she was lucky to have avoided that tiger that apparently was claiming these parts... Whether a lie or not, she lacked the experience to not believe them...
"I...I didn't mean to travel this far out into the jungle... I had no intention of getting lost at all..." She tried to say with a hint of defensiveness in her voice that...suddenly turned to a more sorrowful tone. "...I'm not from around here. I was just visiting the local village for a couple of months. I had a break from everything this afternoon and wanted to go on a simple nature walk. But...I somehow got turned around and...before I knew it I was lost..."
It was rather difficult for Emiko to outright admit that she had strayed from the pathway to...wherever the heck she was now. But there was no denying what was quite obvious to anyone looking at her. If even a snake could pick up on the fact she was lost, there was nothing she could say or do that would convince anyone of the contrary. Doing so would do little more than most likely make the situation worse. If nothing else, this, combined with what she said next was sure to thrill the snake even if it wasn't so much a highlight for her.
"...The elders never really told me anything because...I wasn't supposed to exactly be out here. I didn't know how easy it would be to get lost or...that the area was owned by some tiger or anything like that... I was just...trying to enjoy a small break..."
She fell silent for a moment after that to look around the jungle yet again. There was very little she could see even with the moonlight's illumination. But that...helped to let the danger of what she was in sink in. And she looked back to Kaa moments later with fear swelling up inside again at her predicament...
"...I just...want to go home..."

Kaa smiled.
A thrill of anticipation ran down the python’s spine at the young woman’s admittance of her predicament, the affirmation that she was well beyond lost sinking into the serpent’s skull. Better yet, she’d all but confirmed that she was a stranger amongst the village, which likely meant the odds of anyone risking venturing this deep into the jungle to track her were slim to none.
He giggled.
The wily serpent didn’t bother stifling his glee, because there was ultimately nothing Emiko could possibly do that would change her current fate. He could feel his stomach rumble overhead, a low vibration that echoed through the treetop. Any living creature that had lived in the jungle would’ve recognize the sound for what it was and fled in the opposite direction.
Because this serpent was hungry.
“Oh, you poor thing,” Kaa hissed, drawing himself closer to his prey. What had been a comforting presence mere seconds ago not exuded a far more menacing aura, dark coils slowly blocking out what little moonlight penetrated the canopy of foliage. Though unseen, his tail slowly reached out towards her waist, ready to act upon a moment’s notice should she choose to resist. “You’ve really had a rough time of it, haven’t you?”
Golden eyes filled her vision.
The serpent’s snout hovered mere inches from her nose, dark eyes widening as he engulfed the whole of her attention. His forked tongue flickered from between his scaly maw, gently brushing against her exposed flesh for the first time. Flavors danced across his taste buds, far better than what even her scent had provided.
She’d make an excellent meal.
His irises exploded.
A barrage of spirals erupted from the center of his vision, releasing a brilliant fountain of colors that defied all imagination. Various shades and hues that could scarcely be counted swam through his two bulbous eyes; their illumination only further emphasized by the all-consuming darkness of the jungle night. They were almost blinding in their presentation, allowing none who observed them a chance to pull away from their alluring captivation.
At this distance?
With her resistance?
There was little chance she’d resist for long.
“Let me help you relaxxxx.”

If things weren't bad before, they took a turn for the worst when the serpent realized the full extend of Emiko's situation. And in a strange twist of fate...Emiko actually picked up on it...
She noticed almost immediately the snake's tone taking a more...darker sound to it. It was just slight, but enough for her to gather that something wasn't right. And the atmosphere she was in suddenly began to feel darker as a result. It didn't help matters much when the snake slowly wormed his way forward and started to glare at her with those big, yellow eyes of his... Suddenly...the snake was seeming quite menacing despite having seemed like a friendly soul just moments ago...
The tense situation that was building sent Emiko pushing herself back more against the tree trunk. There...wasn't honestly much room to go back, but she still tried starting to get frightful of what Kaa's true intentions were. They weren't obvious at first... Then however, the snake let his tongue flick against her skin taking in her taste. Despite not knowing what he was truly doing the...thought that he might be sizing her up for a meal did enter her mind... Despite having no proof, she was ready to fall into an all out panic and would have...if not for what happened next...
In mere moments upon licking her, the snake's eyes suddenly exploded into a wide array of colorful rings. These rings flowed through his eyes in all shades and hues and illuminated through the darkness in a way that nothing else was. As such, Emiko's eyes were naturally gravitated towards them where she found herself not only captivated...but magnetized to them...
As the rings flowed in their endless current, the effects of them were strong and pronounced. Just gazing into them alone for the short time she had, Emiko could feel her concerns and fears melting away. And the more they did, the more alluring the rings became to look at. It became so potent and captivating that...Emiko soon found herself actually drawing forward just a bit to get a slightly better look at those rings...
At some point during the process of all this, Emiko hadn't noticed that her own eyes were beginning to gradually shrink to a pin-prick. Moments later after they had, her own eyes began to blossom open and flow with the same colors that she had been staring at. Those colors began to wash over her mind and body sending waves of bliss through her system and making her...far more docile... Yet again, she found herself inching forward to get a closer look into the snake's eyes. As she did, her earlier concerns about the hidden motives of the snake were gone. Instead...the colorful rings she stared at, pulsing through her own eyes left her with a new thing to think about...
"...Let you...help me...relax...? Y-you can...d-do that...?" She asked, ever so sweetly with her mouth starting to fall to a slight agape...

Kaa chuckled.
His prey’s immediate reactions to his hypnotic gaze were always entertaining.
Witnessing their nascent fear slowly melt away before his deluge of colors was a delightful experience, the slow transformation as their interest and awe were peaked despite whatever resistance they could bring themselves to muster. The young girl was little different, her expression growing slack as his spell weaved its away into her mind, slowly but steadily tightening its intangible grip upon her.
Oh, how he’d missed this!
It’d been some time since he’d entertained a girl-cub in his coils.
He’d be sure to make the most of this.
“All you need to do is watch,” Kaa hissed, spirals pulsating from the center of his gaze as his tail slowly moved to wrap around her abdomen. The coiled muscle barely brushed against her clothing, gently resting atop her lap as it slowly weaved around her, pinning her arms against her waist. Any escape attempt would prove futile on her part…not that she was in any state of mind to make the effort in the first place. “Just keep watching, and you can relaxxx. Don’t worry about home, girl-cub…just watch the pretty colors and relaxxx.”
Kaa pulled back.
The girl-cub’s head followed, pulled along by his magnetic gaze.
The wily serpent weaved his head before his guest’s gaze akin to the snake charmers of the village who spent their days plying their craft on his less intelligent cousins. Each tug was another break in her focus, slowly whittling what little resistance she possessed down until nothing remained. Spiral after spiral rippled from the center of his gaze, pounding against the girl-cub’s awareness with waves of bliss that drowned her conscious thought.
His tongue flickered.
The pink appendage brushed against her flesh, a faint line of drool rolling across her flawless skin.
Hmmm… tasty.
“Just relaxxx and go to sleep.”

Emiko didn't have the faintest idea what was going on right now. Nor was her mind in any sort of state to even begin to comprehend whatever this was. All she could seem to do was stare into the colors and hues that rippled out of the center of the snake's eyes totally unaware that her own eyes were doing the same thing...
In the midst of all of this, her senses had started to become dull, and her consciousness sluggish... The rings had already had a strong impact opening the poor naive girl to the creature's charms. But as she stared on, that openness became even more apparent. Almost...submissive in fact to every thing that this creature did... He had only just started and...already she that was beginning to manifest itself...
Emiko was so lost to the colors that she didn't even realize it when the serpent's tail moved around the tree and began to gently wrap around her waist. A single rotation was all it took to pin the girl's arms to her sides. And second later, the snake began swaying his head too and fro in a motion that Emiko was helpless to mimic. It...was naturally more lazy and a bit sloppy compared to the serpent's movements. But she did her best to follow along mostly due to the magnetism of his eyes compelling her to keep those rings in sight.
The defining reality of her situation became most aparent though when the snake instructed Emiko to just relax and go to sleep. Several times he mentioned the word relax, and each time Emiko's body became more and more slack. When she was told to sleep however, that's when the strangest sense of tiredness began to hit her... It was so potent that...almost immediately the naive girl's eyes began to start drooping with the captivating rings now becoming sleepy rings... Somehow despite all of this...Emiko could only seem to say one simple thing. Not to question what was going on or why the snake was doing this to her... She didn't tell him to stop or try to struggle against what was happening. Instead...all she could bring herself to say...
"...G-go...to s-sleep...?"

“Yesss, just go to ssslllleeeep.”
The coils wound higher.
Each rotation brought another mass of muscled flesh from the treetop above, scales gently brushed against her exposed skin as they constrained her form. They were oddly gentle, kneading and massaging her body as they looped around her…yet there was a distinct firmness and strength in their grip. Their size alone at this point were almost enough to outweigh the young girl, much less prevent any escape.
The wily serpent spared a moment to remove her rather irritating belt, fiddling with the latch for a few meager seconds before simply using his immense strength to tear the offending article of clothing from her body. Satisfied that the impediment was gone, his slender tail gently teased the young thing’s bellybutton before continuing it’s climb upwards towards her chest.
“Please go to sssllleeep,” Kaa murmured, head rolling in slow meandering circles that were haphazardly mimicked by his prey. His snout drew in until it was mere inches from her nose, eyes dominating the whole of her vision. Pulsing spirals gently kneaded her softening mind, reshaping and remolding this lost little girl into little more than a toy to amuse himself with. “I can take you somewhere warm and safe. Doesn’t that sound nice?”
Kaa nodded.
His guest had little choice but to agree.
He chuckled.
“I thought so…but I can only take you there if you sssllleeeep,” Kaa said…which wasn’t entirely false. She would be somewhere warm and safe once she’d been lulled to slumber, though he doubted that she’d agree with her final destination if she had any sense of what was happening. Not that her opinion on anything truly mattered at the moment…or ever again really. “I’m such a wonderful friend for helping find you someplace like that, aren’t I? Certainly better than all those fair-weather friends who abandoned to fend for yourself.”
His spirals pulsed.
Waves of ecstasy continued to crashed against her mind as the tide against the shore.

Yet again, the serpent uttered that phrase for her to go to sleep. And in response, Emiko's eyes started to droop even more. Before this, they were just closing to about a quarter of the way before opening again. But after that last phrase, her eye lids began to drop just a bit lower to about halfway... She wanted to sleep...and was so tempted to do so... But at the same time, she wanted to keep looking into the serpent's eyes. And that...was what forced her to push them back open wide to take in more of those rings...
All the while she fought sleepiness, the serpent's tail was able to go about it's business without much in the way of resistance. In fact, Emiko didn't seem like she had much awareness of what was happening at all beyond the color of those eyes. The creature's tail was able to rip her sash off with great ease and began winding further up her body adding yet another loop that further sealed any possible chance of escape... Not...that such a thing was was even present in Emiko's mind at the moment...
Instead, all the poor girl was thinking about was that magical word, sleep... Yet again, Kaa uttered it and rolled his head in soft circles that Emiko sleepily matched. Her eyes to this point were now drooping to about three quarters of the way closed, and still she forced herself to open them wanting to see those rings more... The snake had mentioned something about taking her to a nice warm place, but Emiko didn't really comprehend what it was. All she could really do in response was stare forward with drooping eyes, her mouth agape, and nod her head sleepily along with Kaa's as he forced her to nod.
A second later, there was a chuckle followed by that beautiful word again. To sleep... Emiko's eyes in that moment closed entirely and she started to fall back just slightly. However, she managed to catch herself JUST in time before falling asleep and jerked her eyes open to fight it yet again. That...was when she heard the python talk about how he wasn't like her fair weather friends... He was a true friend and...she believed him...even as he pushed for her to fall into a very deep sleep...
Emiko's eyes, like Kaa's pulsed on and on without end. They took every word that Kaa spoke into her subconscious whether she properly understood them or not. Admittedly not much beyond the magic word was getting through at the moment. But then again, that was the only word that mattered; the state she was growing to long for so much... The rings just...drilled away at her conscious mind trying to sink her into trance. And all poor Emiko could think about was...
"...S-sleep...? S-sounds...so good... S-so...s-sleepy..."

So close.
She was barely clinging to consciousness at this point.
Kaa’s gleeful grin grew wider as her eyes struggled to keep themselves open, even with the magnetic pull of his spirals drawing her attention. Every color was another thought burst, every semblance of conscious thought eroded beneath the endless sea of hues. He could feel her muscles transform into little more than jelly beneath his coils, her entire body surrendering itself to the sweet embrace of slumber.
“Yes, my delicious girl-cub,” Kaa giggled, quite unable to keep the hunger from permeating his hushed tone. His tongue flickered once again, taste buds dancing as her delectable flavor rushed across the appendage. The serpent smacked his maw with barely contained anticipation, practically pressing his forehead against her’s as he willed her to fall of that final precipice and into complete and utter bliss – to become little more than a walking puppet. “You can sllleeep now, and I’ll be here to protect you. Just like the good friend I am, right?”
His stomach rumbled.
Soon.
“Just slip into sssluumber and sllleeep.”
His coils were nearing the end.
Her body was barely visible beneath the massive mound of scaled flesh, with only her slender legs dangling beneath the branch, and her still exposed neck hovering above the winding coils.
Though that wouldn’t be the case for long.
His delicate tail rolled over her shoulders, quickly closing in around her throat. The entirely of her torso found itself completely encased by the thick layer of scaled flesh – some of the larger coils so massive they were wider than her own chest. Though firm, they’d been surprisingly gentle throughout the entire process, barely offering more than a slight squeeze as they compressed her arms against her side.
But as Kaa’s tail slowly wrapped around her throat, it pulled.
Hard.

There were so many red flags in the moments to follow as Kaa worked to make it no secret what he intended of his guest. The serpent literally called her delicious and smacked his lips leaving the message behind that he had full intention of making Emiko his meal. Yet...the poor girl was so lost in the bliss at this point that...she didn't see it as a bad thing. On the contrary, taking his words as some sort of compliment, the silly girl couldn't help but blush just a little with the hypnosis making her appreciate the idea... And then...there was that word again...
Once more, Emiko's eyes drooped down to a full close taking with her the image Kaa spoke to her about being such a good friend. She ALMOST slipped into sleep in that moment had the desire to keep staring hadn't hit her again. And once more Emiko's eyes shot open hard to take in even more spirals only to again start drooping. It was obvious that Emiko was exhausted and...she was about to lose it all...
During the process of this, the coils would wind and rotate around her body without the slightest hint of resistance. Round and round they'd go, more of her body disappearing under their expanse. It got to a point where...only her legs were free, positioned on either side of the branch she sat on. The rest of her was slowly being devoured by the coils forming a cocoon around her upper body...
As the tail rotated and neared her neck, that was when Emiko received the strongest temptation to sleep yet. Kaa outright ordered for Emiko to fall into slumber and sleep. And that's...when her eyes closed and wouldn't reopen from fighting... Slumber was all she could think about, and it was all she desired. Emiko was honestly content to just keep her eyes closed and fall asleep right then and there. However...she'd be given a rather rude awakening that would indeed push her into sleep, but...not quite the one she was thinking of.
In a heartbeat, there was this sudden jerk along Emiko's throat that caused the sleepy girl to gulp audibly. In that instant, her closed eyes instantly shot open in shock, and she looked towards Kaa with a slight panic in her face for the first real time. It was a moment where...she felt a true sense of danger for the first time. But that moment would pass almost as quickly as it came for as the tail snapped around her throat, it...also triggered something more than an audible gulp...
With a soft PING sounding in the girl's mind, everything suddenly fell into place. A dopey grin steadily began to creep over Emiko's face and her wide eyes stayed open to begin pulsing wildly with rippling colors. In that instant, all stress and fear had faded away. And all the poor girl could do was stare forward in bliss as it became totally apparent that poor Emiko was now helplessly hypnotized and at the snake's mercy...
