Kana pounced on Leo growling as she glared him in the face "you traitor" she said harshly not yelling at him "I trusted you and I come here to find you back, ready to capture me...Your lucky I'm not a monster because if I was, I'd kill you right now" she threatened holding down his arms with her own and her knees on his chest.

Leo was shocked by this, and couldn't find the words to speak as he sobbed. He hadn't expected Kana to pounce on him, but at the moment he felt like he deserved it, so he quietened down, and finally calmed down enough to respond. "I'm so sorry Kana, but you rejected my offer - I waited days to see if you'd respond... I just couldn't bear the thought of you living all alone in the unsafe jungle. I'm so sorry." Leo explained, in a very quiet voice, not looking at her but instead staring off into the distance to his side.
Nahdamuni played a little tune on his flute, and Anilak, compelled by it, leapt through the air, quickly wrapping his heavy coils round Kana. The snake seemed to have no regard for it's personal safety or for overexertion under the powerful influence of the flute. Nahdamuni kept playing, fingering the powerful magic symbols carved along the flute as he did so, puppeting the snake.

Kana's ears twitched as she heard the flute turning her head she just saw the snake and was able to be in a position where she could bite near the snake's head, kicking her feet and moving her hands in an attempt to escape or blind the snake, the sudden fight caused the two to roll slightly in a tussle. Kana was not letting go losing total control of herself to this fight her teeth biting down harder on the snake's coils in an attempt to kill it.

Leo crawled away, he wasn't harmed but he felt exhausted. He watched miserably as Kana fought the snake.
Nahdamuni grinned wildly, and started incorporating higher pitched notes into his melody. Whilst Kana was distracted by the snake, Nahdamuni planned to put his backup plan into action - Leo had told him that wolves were receptive to higher frequencies, and so Nahdamuni started channelling his will through the flute, into the tune he was playing to control Kana's mind. Nahdamuni was completely confident, so long as her ears weren't human, and Leo had assured him they weren't, then this flute could do it. Not perfectly or instantaneously, but Nahdamuni's master had given this flute to him and told him that it was the most powerful artifact that existed for controlling others, so long as their hearing was not human. Leo had also told Nahdamuni of how precise and accurate wolf hearing was: even if Kana were to block her ears or stuff them up, she would still be able to hear the hypnotic melody. And stopping to cover her ears would be unwise, since she was locked in battle with the gigantic snake Anilak.

Kana's ears twitched at the flute sound, she ignored it mainly because she was too lost into battle, finally she was able to slip free from his coils and with her mouth threw the snake snarling angrily as she was on all fours, her tail swishing in the air, she glared at the flute man she jumped up in the tree's ready to pounce on him next as she jumped from branch to branch towards him.

The snake, though injured, was still under Nahdamuni's control, and it slithered back over to him, ready to shield him from Kana. Nahdamuni played higher and higher notes, his tune becoming louder and more insistent. His face turned red as he put all his concentration and willpower into the flute to channel it into Kana's mind. He imagined grasping her head in his fist in his mind, to help visualize his intentions and have the flute's power carry it out to the best of it's abilities.

Kana yelped slightly as she slipped from the branch onto the ground, whining as she shook her head backing away, finally calming down she quickly turned and began to run away, she had a very strong mind and wasn't likely to give in easily.

Nahdamuni would have snarled in anger if he wasn't playing, instead he played sharp, quick and unpleasant bursts, cracking them like whips to punish Kana. He focused his mind on slowing her down, making her collapse, or in any way stopping her from running away. He had Anilak race after her as fast as a snake could move, faster than many snakes would travel in their lives due to the exhaustion involved. But Anilak was compelled by a force much stronger than his own mind, one which he had been desensitized to over many years, and so Anilak zoomed along the ground faster than anybody could imagine an ordinary snake could.

Kana yelped as she was forced to stop, whining she turned just as the snake caught up to her, she couldn't fight anymore everything hurt, "stop it please stop!" She yelled in slight pain trying to resist the tune focusing her mind on one thing, Rose. She looked to Leo praying he'd help her, but if he did she knew it would only be for his own gain...This was her home she didn't want to leave, she couldn't.

Nahdamuni's wild grin grew as he heard her pleas for him to stop. His eyes filled with a crazed look as he drunk in the power he had. He started walking towards Kana, which would make the flute louder as it got nearer. He tried getting her to turn round to face him and kneel down in a kowtow to him. His crazed desire for power over other minds was in overdrive now that it was over something so nearly human, and able to communicate, and it gave him another burst of willpower. His tune became more relaxed and pleasant, as he envisioned in his mind Kana being charmed by such a beautiful tune, so much so that she'd want to give up. He imprinted this mental image onto his haunting music.

Kana's eyes widened him coming closer to her with that look scared her, her ears went down as she was forced there, she whined as she kneeled not yet giving up her mind but her body unable to really fight, the only thing keeping her sane was Rose, she had to be there for her when she comes back...She'll come back...She knows she will. Her mind was starting to break from her own thoughts, what if she never did come back? What if this was her life, just running and surviving? Maybe it would be better to just give up, let the humans take her...

Nahdamuni played a little snake-like theme in his current wolf-enthralling melody to get Anilak to come and slither between him and Kana. He made a mental image of Kana looking into Anilak's eyes as she kneeled before him, almost as if being pulled off of the ground by invisible strings emanating out of Anilak's eyes, and played this into his tune, the song taking on a more typical snakelike theme, slow and swaying, with a heavy well-defined rhythm, for Kana's part of the song to emphasise this, and combining this with a motif that sounded like a circle for Anilak, a repeating theme alongside Kana's snakelike theme that gave the impression of going round and round in circles to activate Anilak's spirals. The rate at which Anilak spilled them out would be painful for an ordinary snake, and Anilak would need to have weeks of rest for his eyes afterwards along with treatment for his wounds.
Leo felt like he would actually throw up, he felt so disgusted with himself. But looking at the wild-eyed Nahdamuni, he shrank back in fear. He didn't dare interrupt - Nahdamuni had said that the flute wouldn't work on humans, but Leo did not want that snake turned on him. All he could do was watch in horror.

Kana was forced to look at the snake's eyes, seeing the spirals reminded her of Rose which only helped break her mind even more, they began to reflect in her eyes as she was pretty weak from both the fight and the tune, her mind close to breaking and giving up to this human.

Nahdamuni started thinking about what he could do with such power over Kana, his wild eyes taking on excitement as well as he began imagining, no longer for the purposes of the song but because he was drunk on power, what he would do - he imagined Kana in chains, a big iron collar around her neck, growling at him. Then, with just one note from his flute, going completely limp and blank-faced, ready to do whatever he said - then he saw in his minds eye him bringing her onto a stage for a freak show, playing his flute to make her dance for the crowd... His playing was reflecting these thoughts as his mind wandered, no longer entirely focused on the task at hand but filled with these dreams and desires of his.

That distraction would help as Kana regained control, feeling her body she instantly pounced onto the snake getting it's head into her mouth and quickly disposing of it (dunno how much I'm allowed to say sooo I'll keep the gore somewhat tame), the spirals in her eyes vanished as she panted glaring at the man she stood up weakly her mind only getting stronger, her eyes a blood red colour she took one step forward, then another, her eyes focused on this man and her mind focused on one thing...To kill him.
