Kaa was unphased by her blade.
He’d faced far worse threats from far better, but his point in this little exchange wasn’t an attempt to subdue her, merely to ensure she wouldn’t cause him trouble. The serpent tilted his head at her question, feigning confusion and curiosity. He made a show of thinking, scratching his chin with his tail as he hummed. “…can’t say I have.”
He shrugged, or at least shrugged as well as a serpent could.
“I’m afraid you’re the only girl-cub I’ve encountered in quite some time,” he said, easily lying through his scales without missing a beat. Deception was just another tool in his arsenal to collect prey, and he’d gotten rather skilled with it over the years. He merely offered a placid smile at her questioning, barely glancing at her dagger. “I’m afraid if they are lost, they haven’t passed through my territory.”
…of course, they were both currently in the tree above.
Not that she needed to know that.

Kaa wasn't phased by Sarah's dagger, and it was quite obvious to see. It made sense given how big of a snake he was, and what little damage a small knife could do to his coils in the long run. Truth be told, Sarah didn't want to do anything if she didn't have to, and she was mostly pulling a bluff. That said, if push came to shove, she was prepared to do what she had to, but wouldn't unless she had to.
Thankfully, Kaa didn't seem to keen on making any further advancements that Sarah might consider to be threatening. Instead though, he went to speak to her more casually spilling little lies as he did. Unfortunately for Sarah, while Kaa's lack of interest was noticeable, seeing through his lies was far more challenging.
Kaa went on to explain he hadn't seen anyone other than her in quite some time. He stated that if they were lost, they were most likely somewhere other than in his territory. It was an explanation that made sense, but Sarah wasn't quite sure whether she should buy it or not. Natalie, and to a lesser extent - Sarah's peer had gone missing in this part of the jungle. A part that just happened to be...Kaa's territory. So for this snake not to see them, or notice the commotion of several villagers searching about? Something seemed fishy...
Sarah wasn't about to take Kaa's word for things and cautiously took a step back putting just a little distance between them. She kept her dagger pointing forward towards the snake keeping on guard from any advances. Her eyes were...cautiously forward to the snake knowing where the real danger was. Just focused to see if something might happen, but not so focused that she couldn't look away at a moment's notice. In her suspicious glare, she continued trying to press on questioning him.
"I'm the only one you've seen? That's strange because..." She paused, using her free hand to point in a direction where several voices could be heard. Obviously more rescuers looking for Natalie and Emiko a bit of a ways off, but there all the same.
"...The village has had people out and about out here for the last day or so looking for them. Your territory is this area, right? And...we've found in this area clothing that belongs to one of the missing women. Clues that turned up in your territory... Care to explain how that happened?"

Kaa chuckled.
He was much too skilled a liar to allow a little detail like that to break his story… particularly now that he’d confirmed she wasn’t alone. One villager would be an irritation; a group of them wasn’t something he could deal with whilst keeping his prey safe. Instead of growing flustered, the python merely shook his head ruefully.
“My, my, it seems someone has a great deal of faith in my abilities.”
Granted, she was wrong…case in point, the very individuals she was searching for were not but a few feet above her, thankfully hidden by the thick canopy of foliage between themselves and the jungle floor. His expression remained placid as he clicked his tongue, lies spilling forth from his lips as easily as one might breathe.
“…but I’m afraid my territory covers a vast swath of jungle, my dear,” Kaa explained, which wasn’t a lie, truth be told – his territory was rather large, all things considered. His reputation helped keep other predators at bay, but there was simply too much for him to patrol with any frequency. “I’ve only just arrived in the area this morning!”
Also not another lie…albeit a far more deceptive statement.
He had just arrived in this area…though he’d been toying with the girls over some distance across the jungle when they’d attempted to flee from him. They likely hadn’t found Natalie’s clothes as he’d dumped them in the river to be swept away, which meant they must be discussing Emiko’s original location he’d found her…which was some distance from her.
“But I can see you don’t trust me…but as you can see~”
The serpent stretched out his tail, hovering several feet of his lower half before the girl-cub.
“Nothing in here.”
He then opened his maw before the girl, pointing inside with his tail.
“…and nothing in here.”

Sarah stood by quietly to listen to any information that the snake wanted to share. Not...that she necessarily believed anything he said to her, but...it was the only lead that she had. She needed to a least hear it out and explore it thoroughly as lives were very much at stake.
The only thing Kaa 'revealed' to her though was more or less 'how' he ended up in this part of the jungle. He had apparently just came in this morning which, if true - meant he couldn't have been responsible for the missing women. They had vanished the night before last in an area Kaa was never in until now. If he wasn't at the scene of the crime, he couldn't have done it. But...there was no way Sarah was going to believe that blindly.
She was just about to speak up about his statement when the snake seemed to read her mind about not trusting him. She didn't...anymore than she could throw him right now. So, instead of leaving her to take his word for the matter, he let himself show a few of his appendages to try and prove that nothing was within his coils.
Sarah watched as the snake lowered his tail to show it clear and empty. A second later, he'd open his mouth to show a dark void with nothing in it. And...when the display stopped there, she just rolled her eyes... Of course there would be nothing in those parts of Kaa. If they were ANYWHERE, they'd be further along his coils. And that was just about what Sarah was about to comment on when she heard a strange sound...
Up in the tree, Emiko and Natalie were sleeping quite peacefully. Their jungle walk had taken quite a toll on them, and without Kaa to stimulate their senses with some sort of action, they were mostly silent in their sleep. Save for Emiko...who had been in this situation far too many times to count... After having settled so deep in her sleep like she had, there weren't many filters inside of her anymore. As such, she choose at that moment to let out quite an audible snore on inhale, before moaning on exhale.
This sound didn't escape Sarah's ears. And in the moment she heard it, her eyes darted up towards the trees trying to get a better view of what was going on. The foliage had concealed the cocoon Natalie and Emiko slept in for now, but...if Sarah investigated too much, she might discover something Kaa didn't want found... All because Emiko snored.

Kaa stiffened, thankfully while the girl-cub’s attention wasn’t on him.
… unfortunately, that’s because it was on the tree above.
Still, the serpent was too skilled a predator to allow an unexpected surprise like this to catch him completely off-guard. The coils around his prey grew slightly tighter, particularly around their necks, so that there wouldn’t be any further surprises from the pair. The python forced himself to relax, offering a pleasant smile to the girl cub.
“Apologies for that; I’ve had such a sinus issue lately,” Kaa said, lying through his scales. It was a somewhat flimsy excuse, although her attention hadn’t been entirely on him when the noise had been made – she’d been rolling her eyes at the time. There was a chance she hadn’t been completely focused enough on him to dismiss his deception…or at least not in a way that would allow her to determine if he had any prey up in the tree.
If not?
Well, he was quick enough to silence any screams that might alert the other villagers, though that was a hassle that he’d prefer to avoid for the moment. That being said, it was rather obvious his word alone wouldn’t be enough to convince her, so instead, the serpent brought out his secret weapon. His coils above shifted, and the cocoon the girls were entombed within rotated, spinning them in place as he adjusted his grip on the branch.
A rather large midsection of his coils descended from above.
Clearly demonstrating there were no girl cubs within his grip.
“…and nothing in the middle.”
Obviously a lie; he had two cubs trapped above and a lump somewhere in his coils, though this villager wouldn’t know that. Few had ever seen his full length before, and those that hadn’t wouldn’t suspect just how massive the serpent was…hopefully she’d have no reason to press the issue now that he’d demonstrated his clearly empty stomach; after all, why else would he have taken the girls?
“You can inspect it for yourself if you’d like~”
He smiled indulgently, hoisting the large coil before her.

After Emiko had let out her audible snore, Kaa was quick to act to quiet the noise coming up from above before it got any worse. And honestly speaking, while just the slightest bit late, it would prove to be quite decisive and potent. Though...this did come with some unintended risks as he would surely find out soon.
Without any warning whatsoever, there was a tight tug against Emiko and Natalie's throats. This caused both of them to softly gulp in a way that couldn't be heard past the few branches underneath. Nothing Sarah could hear just by looking up. That sound would be the only one they'd make though before silence befell the tree leaving it as dead silent as before. Unfortunately though, this restrictive action had some adverse effects. At least, one one of them...
When the tug happened, both Emiko and Natalie were taken a bit by surprise by the action. Their eyes would open in a bit of shock to this tense move showing their sleep had been disturbed. It was only Natalie though that would feel this discomfort beyond the initial happening. Poor Emiko, who had been more used to the snake's coils and treatment didn't take long for her own spiraling eyes to shut and a wide grin to overtake her lips like nothing happened. Natalie however, continued to stare out into space at the moment obviously disturbed.
It wasn't long after this when the python started to rotate his coils a bit. He understood that Sarah needed more than just his word to prove himself 'innocent'. So gently, he started to spin the cocoon holding the two women in place freeing up parts of his body to show while replacing lost coils with different parts of him. The cocoon never one time lost a single coil, but rather just replaced itself leaving the two women to spin in place. And like with the tug, their reactions differed.
To this spinning motion, Emiko actually found it quite enjoyable. She blushed and wiggled in place as Kaa spun her about finding this rotation motion quite amusing. If not for the tight coil around her throat, she might let out a giggle or even a moan to show how much she loved it. Natalie though...didn't like it at all. The spinning motions left her feeling dizzy and...actually built up on the discomforting tug from earlier. This in turn actually started to weaken her trance a fair amount. It wasn't at risk of breaking at the moment, but...if left unchecked, the snake might be in trouble...
Down below, Sarah had shifted her focus back to Kaa when he gave out the 'excuse' that the sound he heard was just his sinuses. She might have questioned it more thoroughly if the snake hadn't taken the opportunity to lower a large portion of his midsection down to show off that nothing was there...
Seeing the empty portion of Kaa's coils now before her, Sarah started to feel quite puzzled by this. She shifted her gaze back up into the trees for a split second before looking at the snake's midsection again as if...to study things. Truth be told, she didn't know how long Kaa was. It never dawned on her that the snake could still be hiding lengths of himself elsewhere. The legends weren't exactly clear on his size, so all she had to go on was this... And in his midsection was...nothing...
She bit her lip for a second and examined the section a bit more carefully seeing nothing abnormal about it. For one final time, she let her eyes trail along the snake's body all the way up into the trees where she tried to see if there was something she was missing. Emiko and Natalie were too far up to be seen by the naked eye, and without making a sound, they wouldn't be easily detected. Still, Sarah was feeling something about this wasn't quite right.
"...Are...are you sure that's everything...? You aren't...hiding anything else from me?"

The serpent suppressed a smirk.
He could tell she was convinced, or at the very least deceived enough by his little lies that she was no longer confident about him holding the missing girl cubs in his coils above. The serpent slowly brought his midsection back up into the tree as he shook his head, chuckling at the girl’s question. A friendly smile plastered itself across his snout.
“Oh, of course not!”
The serpent made a show of crossing his coils above where his heart was, a vague facsimile of that human idiom he’d heard over the years.
“Cross my heart,” he promised, lying through his scales at the very pair Sarah was searching for lingered high above in the branches. Of course, the serpent remained unaware of Natalie’s stirring, his sole focus on getting this interfering girl-cub away from his tree so he could continue his fun. He could hear the search parties growing fainter in the distance, distancing themselves from his current location…the girl would either need to commit and call them over or return to them empty-handed. “I’m afraid my coils are quite empty.”
He giggled a little, his tail descending from the tree, curling before her eyes.
“…unless you’d like to change that~”
He held no interest in holding another girl cub within his coils, but she certainly wouldn’t know that…and a subtle little threat to get her moving away from here would do some wonders. The serpent was well aware of what the tales said about him…and hopefully she’d heard enough to be a little wary about gaining his interest.

Sarah wasn't 100% convinced that Kaa wasn't lying, but she had no proof that he was doing so. Worse yet, she wasn't oblivious to the fact that the search party was moving on to another area leaving her alone if she didn't keep up. She'd have to be on her way soon, or risked becoming just another potential statistic in the jungle's lore. She couldn't afford that, nor wanted it to happen at all...
With a great deal of reluctance, Sarah took a couple of cautious steps back; even a couple of extra when the snake offered to 'change' the emptiness of his coils and made a point to not rile the serpent up any further. She slowly sheathed her knife back in it's case behind her back and started to side walk around the snake towards the sound the group was making in the distance. Mostly to back away, but ensure they could hear her if she had to scream.
"...I'm not...interested in changing that, as you put it..." Sarah would say cautiously, before speaking once more in a much firmer, threatening tone...
"...If you see those girls, leave them alone... I'm warning you. If they don't come back, and we find out you were responsible, I promise the townsfolk will have no problem opening you up, and skinning you to ensure you are never a threat again... Leave them alone..."
With those words offered, Sarah barely offered Kaa as much as a single moment to rebut or retort her statement before she took off running into the jungle. Her threat may not have been much coming from a timid, cautious girl like her. But...Kaa couldn't take on an entire village, could he? It was obvious they were still looking, and even if Sarah hadn't found them, the likelihood that someone might was quite real... Especially with the two girls having moved into the actual vicinity of the village...
Whatever the case was, Kaa's reality was precarious to say the least. Sarah was leaving under the impression Kaa hadn't found the girls. Still, there was nothing to keep her from telling the other villagers Kaa was near and making good on her threat... A low prospect, at least, but one that Kaa had to take into account for his playtime and dinner plans. The biggest risk to all that right now though, was ironically up above.
In the branches overhead, a half-awoken Natalie was still finding herself on the pathway to regaining her full consciousness. The tight, discomforting motion of his tail around her neck along with the earlier coil rotation had done a lot to break Kaa's hold. And the tail STILL holding tight against her and Emiko's neck only kept that discomfort constant which worked as an element that gradually worked Natalie up back to normal consciousness. She wasn't quite there, but...if left unaltered, she would be free of her trance... That didn't bold well for Kaa at all.
If anything WAS working in Kaa's favor, it was Emiko... Despite having been through the same sort of things that was forcing Natalie to wake up, those same things had largely went ineffective on Emiko. The tug against her throat did provide some discomfort, but the spinning coils had cancelled that out allowing her to sleep on in peace. There was no risk of Emiko coming into normal consciousness at the moment, but that could all change depending on how Natalie's situation progressed...

“Well, good luck to your search then!”
Kaa kept up his pleasant façade as he taunted the oblivious woman, completely unaware that the girls in question were not a few feet above their heads. The serpent’s gaze kept a close eye on her as she moved back towards the group, disappearing into the jungle foliage. His smile remained a few more minutes as their voices trailed off into the distance, their scents growing fainter.
It was only when he was certain they were gone that the mask cracked.
“Oh, just who do they think they are?”
The serpent scowled, glaring out at the now unseen group.
To think that a villager would threaten him within the heart of his own territory! I was audacious that they’d been unwilling to respect the law of the jungle – Emiko and Natalie had been caught through his own wit and will; it was his right to lay them in his stomach. If they had such an issue with these girl-cubs wandering out through the jungle then they should’ve kept a better eye on them.
“Such rudeness…”
A shiver ran down his spine.
He was going to need to remind the village at some point why he wasn’t one to be trifled with…though that would need to wait until he’d enjoyed the two meals-in-waiting high above. At his own reminder of their presence the serpent smacked his lips, a faint line of drool dripping down his chin at the thought of their tender flesh slipping down his throat with a sleepy giggle. All tussled up as they were, there was little chance of them escaping his grasp.
Of course, things change…
The shiver reverberated down his coils, the cocoon around the two girls slumping down into a loose pile as they involuntarily relaxed. Bare flesh was once again exposed to the cool jungle breeze, the serpent unaware of what was happening as he daydreamed about his eventual dinner plans. With Natalie already half-awake, it was only a matter of time before she got herself into trouble…

The shiver running down Kaa's body was the worst possible thing the snake could have let happen... Though he did manage to prevent Sara from discovering the two women he held within his coil overhead, it wouldn't matter soon. The shiver he allowed to run through his coils would end up being what led to his hold on them being totally lost.
Despite the tight confines the women were in, when that long shiver reached the section of Kaa's body they were in, it hit their cocoon quite hard. There was a faint shake followed by the coils loosening and soon totally unraveling from around their entranced bodies leaving them totally free.
For Natalie, this shake and unravel was the straw that broke the camel's back. She ended up sitting upright, totally erect for a moment with her eyes opening wide in shock, spiral free. There was a moment where she just stared out into space blankly before she shook her head violently and started to look about very confused. In her look about, she would notice Emiko who...took to the cocoon unraveling in her own unique way...
The shaking had done very little to rouse Emiko up from her trance. And when the coils unraveled, Emiko ended up falling forward to land belly down on top of the cocoon. Her head would land on her right cheek facing to look in that direction. And the moments that followed would see her let out an audible snore showing that...she was still very much asleep in a trance. All the unraveling had done was see her sleeping body fall onto Kaa's without waking up at all...
To this sight, Natalie just wanted to roll her eyes. Though it did bring to light what had just happened... Somehow...the snake had gotten them AGAIN. And...based on how they were held together in a single cocoon, Natalie could only speculate that Kaa was just about to eat them. Why he hadn't was beyond her, but far be it from her to look a gift horse in the mouth.
For the time being though, Natalie had more pressing matters at hand... One was how to get out of this situation before Kaa rejoined them... How could she get out, wake Emiko up, and get to safety before things ended up at a point where there was no return. There was one option that Natalie could think of, but...she was doing everything in her power to avoid it if she could... Lost in thought looking for options while her companion continued to snore away quite audibly...

Frustrated as he was by the villager’s interruption, a smile stretched across the serpent’s snout.
He still had his two captives safely stored up above, and judging by the faint snores echoing in the breeze one of them was rather enjoying her captivity. Giggling to himself, Kaa rose back up into the canopy even as he slowly realized that his coils felt slack and cold compared to the pleasant warmth they’d experienced wrapped around his captive’s helpless bodies.
Yellow eyes blinked as he breached the foliage.
…unfortunate Natalie had woken, but not an insurmountable issue.
“Hm…did someone enjoy their nap?” Kaa asked, teasing lit coating his words as he approached the awakened girl cub, Emiko still deeply asleep behind her. It was quite the sight to see just how much the poor girl was affected by his trances, so deep under his spell that even the loosening of his coils hadn’t been enough to rouse her from her slumber. “Perhaps you’d like to continue it…”
A single ring rippled through his gaze.
Certainly not enough to entrance her, though the sight of his rings had surely burned their way into her mind by this point. While not nearly as affected as her companion, she could hardly go through as many trances as she had without softening to her malleable mind…though how that’d take form he couldn’t exactly say. But the flash of color served its purpose, drawing her attention long enough to grab her companion behind her.
His tail reached down, wrapping around Emiko’s ankle before pulling her aloft.
…dangling by a single leg as she was pulled higher into the canopy, out of Natalie’s sight as she continued to mindlessly snore despite the dire straights they’d found themselves in. Kaa chuckled, smacking his lips as he approached Natalie with a curious gleam. “Or maybe you’re looking for a bit of stimulation…I’m sure we could find a few games I could play with y—I mean, that you could play~”
His ‘slip of the tongue’ was anything but innocent.
Though as perilous as her situation was, there was little she could do to resist the python at this point barring some form of intervention. Her chance of being rescued had come and gone with little fanfare, and it was unlikely the villagers would search the same area of the jungle again. She and Emiko were little more than helpless prisoners until the serpent got bored with playing with them.
Or hungry…

While Emiko snored away in her trance oblivious to everything going on around her, Natalie was a busy bee trying to think of ways to get out of this situation before something very, very bad happened again. Had she been aware that help was in the vicinity, she probably would have tried to signal for attention. That reality was lost on her though, and all she had to consider were the things within the immediate area... Seemed like the only thing she had going for her was she wasn't in a trance, but that wouldn't last long if she didn't think up something...
As if on cue while thinking about that, Kaa rose up through the canopy and greeted the two women with a tease which immediately startled Natalie. She let out something of a fierce gasp before foolishly shifting her attention back to Kaa, her eyes wide as could be... This proved to be a fatal mistake as, before she could do a single thing, Kaa let loose a single spiral from his eye.
It was just one simple spiral. A ring that, under normal circumstances would do very little to anyone. However, having been exposed to the hypnosis a fair degree lately, and JUST waking out of a trance, the ring hit her hard... Natalie found her thoughts momentarily suspended and her body frozen in place unable to act at all. It might as well have just been as potent at a full hypnotic gaze, it was that strong...
In Natalie's moment of being frozen, that's when Kaa went to work separating the awakened from the slumbering. His tail slowly slithered down to wrap around one of Emiko's ankles. And with the slightest of ease, he started to lift her out of the mound Natalie was in to move her elsewhere.
As seemed to be tradition at this point, Emiko seemed more or less like a rag doll in the python's grasp. Her arms and single leg dangled overhead to the motions of the snake's movements. And quite comically, she let out perhaps the most audible snore to this point showing that she was in quite the deep trance. Neither Emiko nor Natalie could do anything at this point to prevent Kaa from going through with his plans. And soon enough, a snoozing Emiko was being lifted up higher and higher into the treetops just...snoring away...
It wouldn't be fair to say that Natalie didn't notice this happening, at least. She did see Emiko being lifted away out of her reach which did startle her out of her momentary daze. However, it hadn't been enough to wake her up entirely to act... So as a result, the absolute best that she could do was swiftly turn her head away and cover her eyes doing her absolute best to avoid anymore exposure to the snake's hypnosis right now...
"...N-no... I don't...want to have anything to do with you." Natalie protested, shaking on the branch like a leaf right now. It was obvious she knew the danger she was in, and was quite scared as a result. "...I want you to just leave me alone. To let me go and leave me alone!"

Kaa clicked his tongue.
“Now I’m sure you don’t mean that…”
The serpent’s tone was the perfect mixture of cloying sensitivity one might have actually forgiven the girl for thinking his feelings were hurt. Though whether she cared about that or not at this point was a difficult prospect to determine – she’d been through so many rounds of hypnosis these last few days it was impossible to tell where her thoughts began or ended amid Kaa’s subtle influence.
The serpent’s coils gently wrapped around her head in a vague horseshoe, pulling her gaze back towards his own. Golden eyes gleamed in the jungle light as he pressed against her forehead, leaving her nowhere to look but his alluring eyes as he stared into her own startled gaze. Not a single ring ran through them, merely allowing her to stare freely into the serpent’s eyes. “Why don’t you look at me when you’re talking, hm?”
High above, his coils were working on Emiko.
The poor girl was utterly oblivious, snoring away in a cute manner as she was positioned on her feet high above. Dainty toes pressed against the branch beneath her, leaving her gently swaying in the breeze as her friend was manipulated below her. Yet so certain of his victory over the poor girls that Kaa barely paid Emiko any mind as his tail curled under her chin, urging her to follow him down an intangible pathway of his own choosing.
Such was his power he barely had to focus on Emiko to get her to follow his non-verbal commands.
“Besides, Emiko doesn’t seem particularly bothered, does she?” Kaa asked, still pressing his forehead to her own as his coil shifted around her still cross-legged body. They remained loose and open, giving her plenty of room to step away if she wanted to try, though there was little else she could travel to this high up in the tree. Not without first incapacitating him in some manner, a feat that which prove rather unlikely for the girl-cub.

Natalie's turning away had done little to delay the seemingly inevitable. One could hardly call it a protest since all she was doing was just looking the other way. And Kaa would go on to show just how poorly it would be to call it that with his subsequent move.
Without a noise to be made, Kaa managed to wind a coil in the form of a horse shoe around Natalie's head leaving only her eyes open in he coil. The purpose of this would be revealed as the python turned the poor girl's head back to his own with very little resistance on Natalie's part. Sure, there was a need for a tug or two to get this stubborn girl to go with the flow. After Kaa got her moving, there were very few hiccups that would follow.
As a result, poor Natalie ended up turning entirely to see directly into Kaa's eyes. The snake wasted no time pushing himself right up against her forehead and staring deep into her eyes. He...thankfully hadn't decided to fire rings off at that time which, had he done - she would have fallen victim to in a few seconds. Instead, the snake just decided to hold her gaze with his natural eyes and tease her about looking at him... For whatever reason, she couldn't look away, either...
Up above, Emiko had been lifted just a bit higher into the branches until the snake apparently assured that she was finally high enough up as to not disrupt their little talk. After being taken up so high, snoring every inch of the way mind you - Emiko was righted and left to stand on the branch. Despite being deep in her sleep, Emiko still seemed receptively submissive towards Kaa. As a result, it wasn't long before she found her tree-legs and stood perfectly upright in a sleeping stand. Kaa could have let it stop there, but...what was the fun in that?
Deciding to take his control over the slumbering girl a bit further, Kaa gently started to stroke his tail against Emiko's chin. This immediately caused Emiko to let out an abrupt snore of surprise before moaning contently. The tail was so soothing against her skin, and even in her sleep, she loved it. At one point, she ended up standing up tall on her tiptoes to it's upward strokes til a new thing happened.
There was a silent command in the tail gently beckoning against her chin. A sign that he wanted her to move and come heither. Whether that was the tail's true intentions or not, there was no way to know... Yet, taking it as the command it seemed, Emiko started to lazily sleepwalk along the branch letting out these audible, obnoxious snores as she did. She didn't know where she was going, but you bet she was going!
Down below, Kaa made a comment about Emiko no being phased by what was happening. And...that was when Natalie shifted her gaze just momentarily upwards. As she did, she saw Emiko starting to sleepwalk through the trees and let out an audible gasp. Realizing what Kaa was doing, possibly even luring Emiko away fully out of reach - she broke her gaze with the snake and backed out of the horseshoe coil around her neck.
Once free, Natalie attempted to turn away, but found that she couldn't get out of her cross legged stance due to the coil wall-mound around her. She wanted to try getting up, but the quarters were too tight for the moment to really do so... Instead...all she could really do was verbally protest...
"...N-no! I refuse to look at you! And...And Emiko is not bothered because you have her in a trance! Wake her up, and you'd see that she doesn't want you around anymore than I do! You know that's the truth!"

“Is that so?”
The serpent suppressed a smirk as she tried to get away from his coil mound, though the weight alone was enough to keep her in place. Yet his coils shifted slightly, allowing her just enough room to push herself out if she made the attempt – not that it would change her fate. Though he did enjoy giving his prey that tiny sliver of hope for escape before he brought them along to his way of thinking.
He merely chuckled, winding his head around her body in a very loose circle.
“…and yet, she didn’t wake,” Kaa pointed out, barely paying Emiko a glance as she sleepwalked across the branches above, her snores echoing through the canopy as an off-key tune to the serpent’s ears. He briefly spared her a glance as she neared the end of one branch, nearly falling to her doom below before his tail reached up, freezing her in place and leaving her bare foot dangling freely below her in an utter display of submission. “Both your trances were broken when my coils slipped and you’re the only one who awoke from that…a curious thing, don’t you think?”
Granted, Emiko was rather weak to his spell, though he certainly wasn’t going to bring that up.
“Perhaps you simply need a little more convincing…”
Though she attempted to keep her gaze away from his eyes, she still had little space to move and quickly found herself cornered by his gaze. He pressed his forehead to her own again, gently pushing against her and forcing her to either crawl back or be pushed against the branch inch by inch if she wanted to put some distance between them. His eyes still remained free of his hypnotic hues, utterly confident in his victory over the poor girl.
“…after all, don’t you want to enjoy the same bliss your friend does? Aren’t you so tired of all the resisting and protesting? If you’re a good girl-cub then I’ll be able to keep you safe and sound…and send you somewhere nice and warm~”
Of course, she’d know what he meant.
Such a suggestion should’ve horrified her.
…and yet he’d woven this suggestion into her mind before, trying to convince her that being eaten was a pleasant experience for a girl-cub. He doubted it’d taken completely, though there would be that little sliver of doubt worming itself in the back of her mind as his seductive hisses echoed against her ears whilst she was toyed with by the massive serpent.
