Boom. Boom. Boom.
That's all the sounds that were going on in the Indian Jungle along with heavy drops of rain being poured all over.
This weather truly wasn't pleasant, which left 2 residents of the jungle stuck inside a cave where there was a bright crackling fire being lit up by whatever dry wood there was to keep it bright and going.
Right now it was providing light and warmth to none other then Sophie the Jungle Girl and Mikayla the Women-cub of whom were both by the fire to keep themselves warm and dry after accidentally getting in the rain.
"Well, it looks like our lessons will have to wait Mikayla." Sophie said.
Mikayla groaned in sadness. "And I was really looking forward to it, and now there's a silly storm keeping it from happening."
"Aww, I'm sorry Mikayla." Sophie said in an apologetic sisterly tone. "I forgot the wet season was starting in this jungle and I don't know how long we'll have to wait until it stops."
"And I don't even have any coils or webs or anything to comfort me, or hypnosis to help me sleep through it." Mikayla said sadly, dreaming about being in a cocoon of either snake coils or spider webs to rest.
"Yeah, even I feel like those would be better then being stuck in this cave with only a fire for comfort, and the fire is almost out." Sophie admitted sadly as the fire was indeed beginning to dim with the limited wood the girls had.
Sophie truly hater to see her little sis very sad, so she thought she could help in some way.
Sophie then crawled over to Mikayla and gave her a tight hug. "Will this do for now Mikayla?" Sophie asked.
Mikayla gave a slight smile. "Thanks Soph, this is nice but you know this can't compete with Sabrina's hugs."
"Aw come on." Sophie teased as she then began to tickle Mikayla, making her begin to squirm in Sophie's grasp.
"Where's my cheerful optimistic baby sister?" Sophie teased.
Mikayla then began to laugh loudly as she was now struggling on the floor as Sophie was tickling her belly and arm pits.
"Sophie stop it! No fair! Your too strong for me!" Mikayla cried in between laughs.
Sophie smirked in victory, glad to have her ever cheerful sis smiling again.
Suddenly, the 2 jungle girls picked up a disturbance from deep within the cave with their hearing.
The 2 girls then instantly stopped at a strange sound from deeper in the cave.
"What was that?" Mikayla asked in a curious and slightly fearful tone.
"I don't know." Sophie said in a serious tone as she then walked over to the 2 jugnle girl's spears with sharpened stone tips.
"But I'm glad those lessons on increasing your hearing have improved." Sophie said as she passed Mikayla's spear to her. "I'm not sure an average girl with average hearing could've picked that up. Stay here, I'll go investigate."
"In the dark? Are you crazy Soph?" Mikayla asked. While she would never doubt Sophie's abilities, she still felt scared of whatever may be in the deep dark of the cavern.
"Don't worry, I got this, I know how to rely on my other senses in the dark when vision isn't working." Sophie said confidently.
"Just stay here, if I'm not back in an hour, run away from here as fast as you can and find Sabrina and/or one of her minions."
"Out there in the rain?" Mikayla said in surprise.
"I'd hate for you to get a cold, but if I'm not back by then, you'd best be out of here." Sophie said as she then began to walk slowly and quietly in the darkness. "It could be nothing but I got to make sure, I love you sis."
"Love you too sis." Mikayla said as Sophie was now gone into the darkness.
Mikayla was now all alone with her spear held up and ready, with the fire beginning to grow dim and with light form the cave being the only other source of light.
While Mikayla had learned plenty of skills to take care of herself in the wilderness, it doesn't mean she was sued to being alone in a dark cave like this yet and while she felt nervous, she still but on a brave face and swallowed her nerves just to be ready.
As the last of the light from the fire burned down and the light from the mouth of the cave was left, Mikayla then got startled by what sounded like Sophie making a yelp, as if there was a struggle. Mikayla then held on to her spear more tightly, feeling her nerves go up a bit more. "Um Sophie?" Mikayla asked nervously. When nothing came from the darkness, Mikayla then asked, "are you okay?"
Mikayla then heard what sounded like something moving around in the cave where there was only darkness.
As Mikayla pointed her spear to where the sound came from, she then heard it again from another part of the cave, and again and again, as if there was either multiple creatures roaming around, or one that was very fast.
Mikayla swallowed a huge lump in her throat and made a deep breath to calm her nerves while holding on to her spear more tightly.
Mikayla then heard the sounds becoming louder and more numerous from all around, leading Mikayla to begin to get very nervous as she kept pointing her spear everywhere and then began to feel like it was getting closer and closer as she began to notice a large shadow in the darkness where Sophie went coming towards her.
Mikayla was beginning to shake a little, which she noticed from her twitching spear and began to notice the shadow coming closer and bigger. Mikayla was now beginning to sweat rapidly and whimper in fright, hoping it was Sophie instead of something that actually beat her, and then killed her, and probably even ate her.
As the shadow came closer to the light, she could've sworn she saw big glowing eyes which then isntantly lunged at her.
Mikayla then shrieked like a little girl before just as instantly as it came, the shadow came into the light to reveal a giant female Burmese python with a slender neck which had a mischievous smile and went "Gotcha!" Before bursting in laughter and rolling on the floor, turna out, it was Kala giant Burmese Python, Mikayla's BFF.
"Kala?!" Mikayla exclaimed in a surprised and annoyed tone the instant Kala started laughing while plunging her spear into the floor. "that was you?!" Mikayla exclaimed in the same mixed tone of annoyance and surprise.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself." Kala said in between laughs. "You just should've seen the look on your face."
"Wait, where's Sophie?" Mikayla asked.
"Right here." Kala said, still laughing as she brought out the shadows a completely coiled up Sophie where even her mouth was gagged by a coil and she appeared to be in thick cois that made her unable to move an inch and not make her muffle a sound, which explained Sophie's yelp and inability to speak in the confrontation and she looked equally as annoyed as Mikayla.
"Could you remove her gag please Kala?" Mikayla asked still annoyed.
While Kala was still laughing, she removed Sophie's gag and Sophie then said, "did you have to scare Mikayla like that Kala?" In an equally annoyed tone.
"I... I couldn't help it." Kala said between laughs. "With a deep dark cave like this, I just had to try something like this." Kala then began to cool down from her laughing. "Anywho." Kala said. "I couldn't help but hear that a certain women-cub and even a certain jungle warrior was missing being in coils."
That did change Mikayla's mood quickly. "Well I thought you'd never aaaaasssssk." Just as Mikayla finished her sentence, she was then pulled by Kala's coils into being back-to-back with Sophie in the same coil cocoon.
Kala giggled. "Silly women cub, I don't need to ask, you'll always want to be in my coils anyway Mikayla."
Mikalya giggled. "I guess that's fair. Anyway, what exactly are you doing in this cave?"
"Oh, well before the rain, I just happen to stumble upon this cave and came in to explore, I was on my way out when the storm happened and I found you 2 and I just HAD to do a little scare." Kala explained.
"Okay, Just don't ever do that again." Mikayla said in a playfully stern tone.
"Yeah, it's not good to scare poor Mikayla like that." Sophie said in a not so playful stern tone.
Kala giggled. "Fair enough, say, you sure you girls don't want to explore and see what I've seen? There are some illimuniscent rocks and stuff that will soon provide light."
"That sounds like a great idea Kala!" Mikayla exclaimed excitedly. "Don't you think so Soph?"
"Well, as long as you're happy Mikayla, and it helps us pass the time from this storm."
"Okay then, let's go." Kala said excitedly.
Kala then slithered off into the darkness, her new cargo not slowing her down one bit as the 3 girls went off to explore the cave, proving that you can still have a great time on a rainy day.
