Thought this up recently. Hope you guys like it!
"Jusssst relaxsssss, be at resssssst, like a bird in a nessssssst," Kaa sang, the colored rings in his eyes. The singing and colored rings were overwhelming Emi, despite her best efforts to resist. The colored rings reflected in her eyes, replacing her normal brown irises, occasionally hidden by her eyelids coming close to shutting so she could fall asleep. Not helping, the jungle girl was coiled from her waist to her shoulders by Kaa's tail. She was going to fall under ths snake's spell at any moment, and there was almost nothing she could do. She was all but helpless.
"Jusssssst give innnn," he sang. "You want to exssssperiencccce the blissssssssssss." As he said this, his tail reached past her shoulders and around her neck. With a tug, he finished the coiling. Emi gulped as the coil around her neck tightened, then slackened, her eyes widening. With his tail wrapped around her slender body, she had nowhere to go, and she fell under his spell.
"Mmmm, hmhmhmhm!" he chuckled, admiring his helpless catch. "Did you think you could resssissst me? Ssssssilly jungle girl. You can't ressssissssst me."
Coild from waist to neck, Emi sat still, the colored rings pulsing in her eyes, a silly, blank grin on the 19-year-old's lips, indicating she was completely under his spell. He could do whatever he wanted with her now.
"I think we sssssshould depart," he said. He lifted her still form off the branch she was straddling, when he heard a mighty call coming from the jungle. "Huh?"
Before he knew it, something hit him, hard, on the jaw. His vision doubled, then went back to normal in time to stop himself from dropping Emi. She was still under his spell, luckily for him. But judging by the shadow--and the punch, he knew they were not alone in the tree. He looked up and saw a human female figure standing on the branch above and to his right. The form was slender, just like Emi's, but the figure held themself far more confidently than Emi had.
"LET GO OF MY SISTER, YOU CREEP!"
Oh, crap.
Nami, the other daughter of Huli and Kainak, and sister of Emi, jumped from her branch and onto Emi's branch, standing between the snake and her sister. He could see the family resemblance; flowing brown hair, an athletic, slender build, blazing brown eyes, tanned skin and what they called "standard-issue" jungle girl outfit. But Nami was two years older than, and not as cute (but very beautiful), as Emi.
And she was maaaaaaad...
"Do I have to repeat myself, creep?" she asked in her mezzo-soprano voice.
"Creep!?" Kaa asked, indignantly. He lifted his head up to match her eyes. "Don't you know who I am?"
"Well, DUH!" she answered. "My mom and dad have told me a lot about you, Kaa."
"Ssssso you do know," he said.
Ariel didn't bother with their conversation, turning her body so she could point at her sister. "Let her go. Don't make me repeat myself."
"Are you sssssure?" Kaa asked, spinning his head around her. "Ssssssshe'ssssss in very good handssssssss."
"I know what you're doing," Ariel growled.
"You do?" Kaa asked. "Then, let me... sssssshow you ssssssomething..." He activated his hypnotic rings and made eye contact.
But nothing happened. Nami continued glaring at him. Persistent, he strengthened his spirals and pushed his head against her forehead. Again, no dice.
"Are you done? Or are you going to keep doing that until you realize it only works if I want to be hypnotized?"
Kaa felt like an idiot now. But he regained his confidence, and chuckled. "I assssssure you I meant no harm to your ssssssissssssster," he said. "Asssssss you can ssssssee, she'ssssssss... enjoying herssssssself. In fact, she wanted to be hypnotized."
"She did? Bullshit," said Nami. She turned around, walked over to Emi. She was still under hypnosis, but Kaa had loosened his grip on her. The coils spooled around her waist. "Hey! Emi! Wake up, kid!" She smacked Emi's cheek until the rings were gone, and she was awake. She looked around, first at Kaa, then at Nami. To Nami's surprise, she glowered at her.
"What'd you wake me up for!?" she asked.
"Huh? But I--saved you?"
"I was having a good time!" Emi whined. "We were going to play yo-yo!"
Frowning, Nami turned around to see Kaa confidently smiling at her.
"Soooo..." And, now Namifelt awkward.
"You thought he was going to enslave me or worse," Emi concluded.
"Kinda?"
Sighing, Emi laid her head against the tree trunk. "Nami, let me have this, okay? He's my friend and mentor! You've got a lot of friends, let me have this!"
"Okay, fine!" Nami groaned. "But if he tries to hurt you, I'm kicking his snake a**."
"I know you will," said Emi.
Nami spun around, still glaring at Kaa. "Listen, you," she warned, pointing a finger at him, "You'd better take good care of her."
"Crossssss my hear, hope to die," he said, crossing his coils like a bowtie. Rolling her eyes and sighing, Nami turned, jumped off the branch and gracefully swung away through Pomaika'i's jungle. Kaa glanced at Emi, who was shrugging.
"She's had my back my whole life," she said.
"Assss ssssshe ssssshould," said Kaa. Smiling, he turned to her, rings eminanting from his eyes. "Now, sssssshall we continue?" Emi made eye contact with him, the rings reflecting in her eyes, her jaw hanging open.
"Let's," she answered.
