I've been toying around with this idea for a while, but after thinking it over and having a brief talk with the others on the staff, I feel this idea is one worth pursing.
So, it probably goes without saying, but KainaKaa has had a rather difficult time getting events off of the ground, or getting the community as a whole engaged in many projects. It doesn't help that we've honestly had a lack of projects to work with which I will take the blame for. Most of us come around to role play with our small group of friends (which is totally fine!), but I would like to expand us beyond just our usual norms. So to do that, I have decided to host something for you guys.
As the title says, I have decided to host a small little event on discord this weekend where I and a few other staff members (if available) will be setting up a small channel on our discord to do something a community Q&A along with various other discussions. The purpose of this forum I/we are setting up is to talk to you guys, answer some questions you might have, and take suggestions you might have for the forums and potential events.
There are a lot of reasons why I have decided to do a Q&A/discussion forum, but it mostly boils down to the fact that I've never really done anything like this before. I don't often have a chance to engage in discussions with the casual member about what they would like to see happen outside of suggestions and whatnot. So I'd like to change that by taking a bit of time to answer your questions, and take your suggestions in real time.
I will be hosting this event this coming Saturday (January 4th, 2020) at 7 P.M. Central Time (8 P.M Eastern/6 P.M. West Coast) on the KainaKaa discord channel. I'll be creating a special text channel just for the occasion and for two hours, you guys will have my undivided attention. I invite everyone to come along that day and encourage everyone to bring me your questions and suggestions for the forums. If not that, I have some ideas of my own I'd love to bounce off you guys during that time. Let's just take a bit of time to get together, and have a community wide discussion to see how we can make the forums more entertaining. If anyone is interested, I anxiously hope to see you then and there!
