There was a vast jungle, teeming with wild animals and flora. But a few miles away there was a human campsite where there lived a botanist; Professor Smith and his 17-year-old daughter named Lily.
Lily has fair skin, 5’4, very bleached blonde hair that was medium length, and pure hazel eyes.
She had been living with her father for about six years after her mother had passed away. She adjusted well to the jungle environment, able to recognize deadly plants, able to sleep through the sounds of animals, and how to make fire. The young woman left the camp momentarily when she was chased out by three jackals. Lily managed to escape but she got hopelessly lost.
Lily eventually stumbled by a large tree close to a waterfall. Tired and thirsty, she knelt down by the river and scoop up a handful of water. The girl was unaware of a pair of large, yellow eyes watching her every move.

Kaa, the majestic jungle serpent, king of all reptiles (At least that's what he claimed) was carefully eyeing the young girl. He used his forked tongue to lick his lips.
"Ah, a man-cub, wandering all alone by herself. She seems... lost. Perhaps she would like someone to keep her... company," he chuckled to himself. He decided to bide his time, and waited for her to wander closer...

Lily drank her fill and then used some of that water to clean some of the blood off her leg where she was scratched. The wound wasn't deep but she'll definitely want some ointment on it when she gets back to her father. That is if she can make it out of the jungle before long. Luckily for Lily, there was still plenty of time before sunset but she won't find her way home by just standing here.
The girl noticed the large tree and made her way towards it. She sat on one of the large roots.

The pair of serpentine eyes lit up. It was just too easy! Waiting until the girl was slightly dozy, he slipped his tail around her waist, fashioning it into a seat of coils. Kaa then hoisted the man-cub into the safety of his tree, and positioned himself in front of her, waiting to see how she would react.

Lily was wiping her brow when she felt as if she were being lifted. She looked down and realized, she was! As Lily was hoisted up, instincts mad her grab onto what she just realized was a scaley snake tail. She let's go again when she comes face to face with the serpent. Lily let's out a squeak of a yelp and feebly tries to back away even though she was stuck in place.
"Oh no no, please. I'm nothing to be curious about Mr. snake, honest." She said as if she thought the snake could understand her.

"Oh dear, oh dear. Where are my manners? I haven't even introduced myself yet." Half-hissing, half-laughing, the serpent flicked his tongue over the girl's cheek. "My name is Kaa, a pleasure, I'm sure," he said, tilting his head down in a makeshift bow.

When she saw the snake speak, Lily was stunned but blinked a few times as Kaa flickered his tongue at her.
"You-... you can talk?" Lily asked curiously. Her eyes are still wide with wonder.

"Consider yourself fortunate, man-cub," he hissed. "Not many of your kind have had the rare treat of hearing my exquisite voice. But really, where are my manners? My name is Kaa, little one. It is a joy to make your acquaintance." His words seemed polite, but Kaa discreetly was eyeing up the man-cub. Specifically, he was checking to see what her outfit consisted of.

Lily was expecting a humid day in the jungle today so she was wearing a burgundy colored tank top with standard cargo shorts. She was also wearing thick black boots.
The girl, feeling a little braver, finally replied.
“He-Hello my name is Lily,”
She may have stuttered but she wasn’t shaking so much anymore.

"Lily... Histststs," he hiss-laughed, this time having his tougne brush her left ear. "You are quite the delectable specimen, Lily."

A sense of fear overcame the human.
“No no please,” Lily said. “Let me go,”

"Oh? Is that worry I sense?" Kaa asked. His head glided around Lily, resting a cushion of coils on her shoulders. "Or is it... distrust?"

“Call it what you will, just please don’t eat me,”
The coil felt very nice on her shoulders though it did not lessen her fears.

Kaa started, then paused, then shook his head, laughing.
"Eat you? Eh-hoo-eh-hoo-hoo-hoo. You seem to be mistaken, my dear. I have intention of harming you," he hissed. He placed her feet on the limb and uncoiled the seat from around her waist. "I just wanted to great the man-cub that was resting beneath my tree."
He flicked his tongue at her nose now. "And that cub just so happened to be you, my sweet." He eyed her up and down once more. "What is it that brings you to my wonderful abode?"

Lily was grateful that she was released but took a cautious step back when Kaa flicked his tongue at her nose.
"I... I stepped into the jungle for a moment but then I was chased further in by jackals. I escaped them but now I'm lost," Lily back up enough until her back was against the tree trunk. "I'm sorry if I intruded. I thought I could climb this tree and try to find the right direction back to my camp."
