As Asha confirmed the truth of what Soraya wanted to hear most, it took everything in her to keep her emotions in check. Soraya was beyond thrilled to discover that her sister was in truth alive and that statement alone made her want to accept Asha's offer without hesitation. Another part of her though...wasn't so sure... She would basically be jumping into something she had just been told moments ago that was as threatening as it was life altering. Soraya did want to save her sister, but...could she really risk her life just for a that one opportunity?
Family was everything to Soraya... Even growing up in shadow of her sister, and seen as less than perfect by her parents, Soraya still loved her family dearly. When she thought they were lost forever, it destroyed her and took years to build herself back up. Now though...she had just found out that one of her family members was in fact alive... Altered, perhaps...but very much alive... And as long as she was willing to live and fight, it seemed like it would be possible to save and bring one of them home... For Soraya, it was certainly a cause worth fighting, even dying for if it came down to it. There in lay the root of the issue though... It was indeed something she would have to risk everything for and that...terrified her...
When Asha took Soraya's hand and tried to encourage the young girl to become one of her Maiden's of Light, Soraya gently took her eyes off of the angelic being's face and once again let her vision trail down to her feet nervously... The...passion and determination that Soraya had was still very much there, but it was obvious that she was still not sold on the idea of becoming a Maiden of Light. She had a reason to do it, and the opportunity was a simple yes away from coming to reality, but...she still had doubts and reservations about all of this, questions she still needed answers to. And so, after letting out a nervous sigh, Soraya took in a deep breath to ask the last few questions that she had.
"If I were to become...a Maiden of...Light... What's...going to happen to me? I know you said I'll have to fight just to survive...for the rest of my life. I know it's going to be hard, but...how is my life going to change otherwise...? Will I still be me, or change into something else? Is there...any hope of having a normal life along with this one if I accept becoming one of your...Maidens?"
Soraya's questions were simple, yet equally deep showing that while she was at least considering becoming one of Asha's Maidens, she still wasn't sold on the idea entirely... She had to know all of the facts, or as many of them as she could before making a decision as big as this one. And knowing how altered her life and being would be was a critical factor in making that decision. The fact that she was inquiring about what life as a Maiden of Light was like may have been an encouraging sign to Asha as it meant she was considering the possibility. However, HOW Soraya phrased her questions honestly made it sound like if Asha said something she couldn't do or take, she might simply take the choice to just die right then and there... The only way Asha would know for certain the reason behind Soraya's question would be to answer them and see for herself...

At Soraya’s question, Asha nodded, sagely. It was natural to wonder, to want more specifics, especially after Soraya had been so gravely injured by Druj’s own attempt to make her his Maiden. She was hesitant, Asha could tell that much, but Asha knew that, with the right push, she would be able to persuade Soraya to join her cause. At the very least, the powers she could over Soraya were preferable to an agonizing death, a death that was still steadily approaching. The thought made Asha shiver, but she cleared her throat, and began to speak again.
“Your body might undergo some changes.” Asha’s hand slowly released Soraya’s shoulder, gently brushing the girl’s hair from her face. “Your hair, your eyes...like what happened to you with Druj. But don’t worry. It won’t change who you are.” The hand moved, to gently rest against her cheek, still so warm. “You will still be you, Soraya. Magic won’t change your personality. It only gives you the power to express your own goodness more powerfully.” Asha leaned backwards thoughtfully. “It might be a little difficult for you to get the hang of everything, in the beginning, but I’ll help you figure everything out, I promise.” Asha nodded eagerly. At this point, she not only wanted Soraya to join her, but felt certain that, with proper training, that she would excel at being a Maiden of Light. The idea of Soraya recovering from what should have been a mortal blow from Druj himself, and persevering through it to save her sister from his clutches, it was the stuff of legend. Asha shifted in place, excitedly. She was so close to saving Soraya’s life, and making an ally out of the girl, but it was important to assuage her fears.
That being said, Soraya’s final question surprised Asha. A normal life...what did that mean? Soraya had come face to face with Druj, one of the most fearsome entities on the planet, how on earth could she think a normal life was even a possibility? Asha frowned, her feet kicking in the air as she thought, it was clear the tension was making her antsy.
“A normal life…” Asha echoed back. “I...no, I don’t suppose you would be able to have a normal life. You would be a servant of Light, and that tends to be full time.” Asha giggled nervously, not sure if her momentary levity was helping raise Soraya’s spirits. “But, this place,” Asha gestured across the room with a wing, just falling short of scraping the opposite wall from where she sat beside Soraya. “What you’ve been doing here, that’s been normal, Soraya. Work, school, that’s all normal. Saving your sister from the clutches of darkness? That’s not even a little bit normal.” Asha gazed into Soraya’s eyes, reading the girl’s expression, speaking carefully. “Do you want a normal life, Soraya?”

When Asha explained that Soraya might see some physical changes in her body, but remain the same on the inside, she took the news well enough to smile. However, that smile faded almost as quickly as it came when Asha explained that a normal life for her wouldn't be possible after this. The reason the smile faded however wasn't necessarily because of the fact Soraya wouldn't be able to have a normal life as much as it was...how Asha pointed out the life that she had... She may not have meant anything by it as she was trying to prop up the wonderful opportunity Soraya had to save her sister. But...for Soraya, this life of hers was really important and...she didn't take it well when Asha seemed to just...discarded it as if it were nothing...
"...My life...of work and school... It may have been normal, but...it was an independent life I built for myself on my own..." Soraya explained showing she was clearly a little hurt by what had been said about it... "...It may not have been much, and simple in nature but...it was something really important to me and...I enjoyed it... I thought I had done a decent job building a life for myself, but...I guess I was wrong... Not that it matters now..."
Without giving Asha a chance to respond, Soraya quietly stood up from the chair she had been sat in earlier and walked beyond the angelic being to the mirror once again. Most likely against Asha's wishes, she gazed into it for a moment with only the intention of seeing what had become of her. As she looked, she could see the violet color of her eyes starting to return again hinting that the darkness was attempting to overwhelm her soul again... It was happening so fast that Soraya somehow just knew she didn't have much time left...
With a sad sigh escaping her lips, Soraya quietly walked away from the mirror without falling into her eyes again thankfully. However, she stopped just short of a framed picture on the wall of...two young girls sitting beside each other posing for the picture. The two girls actually looked similar as if they too were sisters. As it just so happened, one of those girls was Soraya's mother while the other was her aunt. With a small tear running down Soraya's cheek, she spoke to the picture as if...she were actually speaking to a real person...
"...I'm sorry, Aunt Shirin... I know I promised you when I moved to the city for college that...I'd be ok and be careful. But I wasn't careful though, and I'm not ok now because of it... I promised you I'd make a life for myself and work hard to build it, but...that's all over now... I have to break my promise, and I hope someday...you'll forgive me for doing so... I am so sorry..."
Only after these words escaped her lips did Soraya gently put two fingers to her lips and lightly kiss them. She then gently placed the fingers she kissed to the picture frame on her aunt's cheek as yet another tear flowed down her own cheek. What Soraya had done was little more than a symbolic gesture, but...it helped her to find some sort of closure that she desperately needed... The decision she was about to make...was the hardest one of her life and it was time for her to make it...
Gently wiping away the few lone tears she had cried, Soraya realized that her time wasn't on her side. And so...she gently made her way over to the couch where she grabbed a couple of pillows just laying about and made her way to an open spot in the room away from the furniture. She gently threw one of the pillows in front of her before laying the other down before her at her feet. Without saying a word, she gently fell to her knees directly onto the pillow and made herself comfortable. After this, she gently bowed her head in silence for a moment before letting out one last sad sigh. And then...she finally spoke to Asha once more finally revealing what she had decided...
"...All right... I'm ready... I will give up this life that I know, and everything I've built in it...to become a Maiden of Light..."
At last... Asha had received her answer, and it was the very answer she wanted most. Soraya had decided to live on and become a Maiden of Light just as she wanted. Not only that, everything she had done in the last few moments was to bring closure to her old life so she could start this new one. Even the act of bringing the pillows to the floor and kneeling was to prepare herself for the ritual in full. That couldn't have been made anymore obvious than when Soraya gestured for Asha to join her and get comfortable so that they could begin. Though Soraya was going through with this...she still needed one last thing before she could truly move forward...
"Asha... I will become a Maiden and fight as a servant of the Light like you want... But...I will only do it if you assure me of one thing..." Soraya softly spoke as she tried to make her final request. Her hands started to tremble as she went on to explain...
"...I'm terrified of what's about to happen...more so than I've ever been in my entire life... The thought of having to fight for the rest of my life just to live is...beyond what I can handle. But...I'd rather fight and even die than...be...abandoned again... Please...promise me that you'll...stay with me and help me through this... I will do anything you say and abide by anything you desire as long as...you don't...leave me, too... Like my family did...Like...that demon and my sister did... Stay beside me...and I'll be yours..."

As Soraya slowly began to speak, Asha immediately felt nervous. She had misjudged the girl, it seemed. She had thought that the revelation of Druj and herself would have made all that came before seem trivial, but Soraya had taken pride in the world she had inhabited, in the space that, however small, she had painstakingly carved out for herself. She wanted to speak, to clarify that she hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings, but Soraya was already stepping up from her chair, heading past Asha towards the mirror.
“Um, I wouldn’t-” Asha began to say, her voice trailing off as Soraya stared into her own eyes. Asha watched as Soraya examined her eyes, that were slowly darkening yet again. Asha raised a hand, starting to extend it out towards Soraya, as she felt the darkness rise up in her, sparked by Soraya’s eye contact with itself, but it seemed that she was ready for it this time and, before it spiralled out of control she had stepped away from it, making her way past it, towards a photograph that hung on the wall, of two women, each of them similar to Soraya, if some years older. She listened to Soraya speak to the woman, her aunt Shirin, intently, trying to understand what she was about to do. It was difficult to tell with Soraya what was going on behind those blue eyes, and her words only made Asha more worried. She had said that she would end Soraya, if she so desired but...she had really hoped that she would join her. It had been some years since Cambridge had had a Maiden of Light, Nur had seen to that.
Soraya turned back to her, and slowly made her way back towards Asha, tears running down her face, and the spirit bit her lip, readying herself for whatever Soraya asked of her. Soraya flopped down onto her knees on a pillow before Asha, and Asha jumped slightly at the sudden movement. Asha felt her heart speed up a bit, still uncertain. What was this for, a knighthood or an execution? Her head bowed, she finally spoke to Asha. Asha let out a sigh of relief, followed with a happy little giggle, despite how serious Soraya’s voice was. It was a grave decision, either way, but Asha was extremely pleased that she had decided to join her. Moving smoothly, she slid down from the chair she had still been perched on, landing on the balls of her feet. She stepped over to Soraya. With Soraya on her knees, Asha could gaze down at her, staring into her eyes, her face shining with tears. Soraya’s morose expression did diminish Asha’s spirits, but she leaned in nonetheless, flashing Soraya a bright, grateful smile.
“Thank you for joining me Soraya.” Asha was about ready to begin the ritual when Soraya spoke, rather abruptly. The words rushed out of her, a hasty confession, of her fears, her fear of conflict, her fear of death, and, above them all, her fear of abandonment. She had lost so many people, so many family members, and she had held onto she was about to lose now. She was about to give everything up, for a life of service to Asha and all she wanted was for Asha to stay with her. It was hard for Asha to not tear up herself, but she did manage it. She reached to, for the second time that night, brush the tears off of Soraya’s face. “I will stay beside you, Soraya. I swear it.”
Asha closed her eyes for a moment, her hand slowly tracing down Soraya’s cheek, to gently cup her chin, gently pulling her gaze up to Asha’s face. Slowly, Asha’s eyelids slid open, revealing her eyes, blazing with a silver shine, sparkling like stars gleaming in the night sky, but much brighter. Asha spoke, her voice somewhat faint, focusing on her eyes. “Just...relax, Soraya. Relax and...take it all in.”

Soraya was still lightly trembling when Asha gently moved to remove the tears that had remained on her face from earlier. From just the touch on her cheek alone, it would have been obvious that she was feeling so many different emotions right now. When Asha affirmed and swore that she would stay by her side though, a sense of peace came over Soraya's body. Almost immediately, the young girl's trembling had ceased entirely, and Soraya gently smiled showing that was all she wanted...all she needed... She may have been terrified of what was to come, but...just knowing Asha would not leave her made all the difference in the world...
As Asha gently stroked along Soraya's cheek, the young girl showed her first true genuine sign of affection to Asha by leaning her cheek into Asha's hand and rubbing against it softly like a cat might to being petted by its owner. This would only last a moment however before Asha reached to Soraya's chin and gently cupped it, pulling it up towards her own face. To show Asha she meant what she said when Soraya claimed she would do anything Asha desired for the sake of her company, Soraya didn't hesitate nor resist Asha's tug. In fact, once her face had been lifted up and set into position, Soraya focused all of her attention directly towards Asha's momentarily closed eyes with willingness in her own for what was about to happen. And finally...it did...
When Asha opened her eyes, Soraya was instantly captivated by the silvery glow of her iris. Like before when she had been exposed to Druj's eyes, Soraya felt everything around her seeming to slip away as Asha's eyes became her focus and essentially her world. This experience though was far different than the one she had with Druj however. For while Druj brought through his eyes a sense of peaceful darkness, the feelings Soraya received from looking into Asha's eyes was a much warmer, pleasant feeling of blissful light.
Soraya felt so at peace looking into Asha's hypnotic eyes and could feel herself melting into them the longer that she stared. And when the angelic being before her would speak, Asha's voice was like an angelic choir to Soraya's ears... Soraya began to love the sound of Asha's voice and found so much bliss from her words that it literally sent chills down the young girl's spine. The mesmerizing process hadn't gone on more than ten seconds before Soraya started experiencing all of these different sensations in herself. And if a Maiden's potential was in any way measured by how receptive and submissive they were to the individual mesmerizing them, it seemed as if Soraya had a deep well of vast, almost scary potential within her just waiting to be tapped into...

Asha had to suppress a giggle as she felt Soraya nuzzle her cheek to her hand. She was adorable, but Asha needed to focus on her magic. As she eyelids slid open, she was glad to see Soraya staring intently at her face, focusing on accepting Asha’s magic. Asha was grateful that she did not have to explain how the process was going to work. Though Soraya had learned how Maidens were forged from Druj firsthand, Asha’s own method was very similar to that of the vast serpent. Eye Contact, above all, the eyes were the window to the soul, and, through that window, she would pour out enough of her own magic to fill up Soraya’s being with light. Once she was full, the physical aspect of the magical transformation would begin.
That, however, was a long way away. First, there was the task of burning away Druj’s own magic, still brimming under the surface inside of her. Her fingers tightening slightly around Soraya’s chin, Asha focused in on the dark magic, and slowly began to burn it away. She went slowly, she had never done something quite like this, and wasn’t entirely sure if it would hurt the girl. She certainly hoped not, but, with this much darkness inside of her, Asha had to be careful to not hurt Soraya. Slowly but surely, the darkness began to fade. Asha could see, out of the corner of her eyes, Soraya’s hair starting to lighten up from the black she had noticed only a few minutes ago.
As Asha continued to strip away Druj’s magic from Soraya’s soul, she could feel Soraya’s own magic rising up, the bright, powerful magic of a Maiden of the Light. Asha could immediately tell why Druj had sought to corrupt her into joining his side in this endless war, she was a well of magical potential, deeper than anyone Asha had seen in a great number of years, deeper than what she suspected Nur was capable of.
As her eyes continued to glow, radiating light into Soraya, Asha continued to talk, her tone hushed. She could sense Soraya’s own senses heightening as she began to enter the hypnotic phase in which Asha and Druj were able to work their magic, and was careful to not overload her system too early on. “There we go, Soraya...you’re doing so well my dear,” she murmured, continuing to flood the girl with light magic. “I can feel the Light in you, rising up. You will be so strong...so powerful…”
It was a slow process, with Asha continuing to gently mumble out compliments, her hand still holding on to the soft skin of Soraya’s face, the gazes locked on to each other. It took a few minutes for Asha, working much slower than Druj, to get the last bits of Druj’s own darkness out of her. She could feel the peace in her soul, the balance, balance that Asha was about to throw out again, in her own favor. Physical contact was quite helpful to ease along the hypnosis process. Druj had his own thick coils that he used to wrap around his subject’s bodies, but Asha had methods of her own. Her wings moved slowly, arching around Asha’s body to wrap around Soraya’s shoulders in a kind of hug, each feather glowing, sparkling with magical energy.
Without the slightest indication from Asha that anything was changing, the tone of Asha’s magic began to slowly shift, focusing less on balancing out Druj’s handiwork, and more on filling Soraya’s spirit with light, on triggering that magical transformation. Asha could feel it, could sense that moment drawing closer and closer, as her wings tenderly squeezed around Soraya’s shoulders, trying to make her feel safe, secure, loved. Her eyes gleamed with a silver sheen, as she leaned in closer, her nose affectionately brushing against Soraya’s, hot to the touch. “You are going to be perfect, Soraya...absolutely perfect.”

Initially when the entire process began, Soraya didn't really notice a thing. She was so captivated by Asha's glowing eyes and soothing voice that she didn't even register the darkness within her gradually being taken away. While Asha had removed most of the recoil effects from Soraya earlier, she was still a bit weak and sensitive to the point that after a short time, Soraya did start to feel a little bit of pain from Druj's magic being removed.
It was to be expected... Druj had came dangerously close to corrupting her heart and soul with dark magic and getting all of that out after it had been put in was like trying to remove shrapnel from the body after a bomb blast. It was naturally going to hurt a little getting all of that out so that the pathways inside of Soraya's heart and soul could be re-channeled to utilize her magic for a force of light. Though the process did hurt a little, Soraya took it all silently never once letting it stop her or hindering the process. That determination of hers... It was a downright scary thing when she was focused and determined to get what she wanted. It was just astounding that all she really wanted...was Asha by her side, and that was it...
After a while, the darkness within her soul had diminished enough that she no longer felt the pain. With the darkness fading within her, Soraya's physical appearance also began to once more shift. The darkened hair and violet eyes that were originally the sign of her transformation into darkness began to fade leaving Soraya looking more like her normal, old self. Her naturally dark brown hair along with her deep blue eyes were the perfect sign to show Druj's magic leaving her being. Though Soraya looked like her old self, it was impossible for her to stay like this... The damage had been done and if Asha stopped now, she would just go back to how she looked before. It was all or nothing at this point, one way or the other...
It was about this time when Asha gently started to invoke some physical contact by bringing Soraya into a sort of hug by having her wings folded over Soraya's shoulder. Inside of this embrace, Soraya felt so warm and safe. In fact...she had never felt so secure in her entire life as she had in this moment and it made any tension within her body fade away instantly. She loved being so close to Asha and feeling the warmth on her skin sent a feeling of bliss down her body that only magnified Asha's already hypnotic eyes and soothing voice.
Soraya was doing so well and very receptive to the being of light. She was starting to feel very at home with Asha and that acceptance of her actually helped the process the angelic being was doing to move a little bit easier. How well Soraya was doing though couldn't have been more evident than when Asha bent down to gently rub her nose affectionately against Soraya's. Soraya was so touched by this little action she smiled happily and giggled like a school girl, rubbing her nose back happily. She absolutely loved what Asha had done and the compliments that followed just made her heart melt. She...was like a child in that moment, her innocence on full display before the being before her. In that moment, Asha could see the true Soraya. A girl not bogged down by pain or sadness. Instead, she was an innocent girl with a soft and pure heart that simply yearned for affection. Granting her that the way she had was the key to opening that well of potential within her.

Soraya was so eager. Asha could feel it, in the way her body craved Asha’s affectionate touch, in the way she stared into Asha’s eyes, the way her very soul was opening itself up to Asha. Asha smiled, getting a better understanding for how the girl’s mind worked. After all, If all went well she would be doing this quite a lot to her, might as well learn what worked best. That being said, it didn’t exactly seem like she needed much, she was already slipping deeper and deeper into bliss.
The girl seemed to barely notice the slight pain, perhaps because of how careful Asha had been to draw out that early process. Now, that there was no longer any Druj under her skin, the sheer intensity of Asha’s eyes doubled, the shine turning into a powerful, dominating glow, almost blinding, and yet, Soraya would surely be unable to look away. She was enjoying what was happening to her far too much to even contemplate looking away. Smiling, giggling at Asha’s nuzzle, she was so wonderfully responsive to Asha’s hypnosis. Asha revelled in it, it had been practically eons since she’d had someone this eager for her power. Most shied away from it, scared of the power, the way it could affect their mind, and, past that, reach into their very souls to purify it. She welcomed the purification, she would endure the admittedly faint pain, if it meant she would get the companionship she so craved.
As Asha’s hypnosis intensified, the glow of the wings grew more and more powerful, heat radiating off of them, as hot as the sun on a summer’s day, and Asha became suddenly aware of the jacket Soraya wore. Quite necessary on a chilly Cambridge night, in the presence of Asha’s blazing hypnosis, she suspected the girl was getting quite hot. One hand still clutching the girl’s chin, Asha’s free hand slowly moved just below it, to where the zipper rested just at her throat, and slowly pulled it down. She opened it smoothly, with a single slow, gradual, move. Her tone a little quieter, her mouth only inches from Soraya’s ears, she spoke. “I hope you don’t mind, but I think you might be a little more comfortable without this, don’t you think?” She moved, and, with only one hand, slowly pulled Soraya’s jacket off of her, one shoulder at a time, before gently pulling it down, letting it fall to the ground behind her. She gave Soraya another smile, her wings gently moving closer to her, the soft feathers brushing against her forearms.
“Much better,” Asha said, answering her own question, before continuing her stream of compliments, as the magic continued to cascade into Soraya’s being. “You’re doing so well...you’re doing perfect...you’re going to be perfect.”
As the trance continued to deepen Asha noted the changes that were starting to happen to Soraya’s hair. Darkened from Druj’s own magic, it had steadily grown lighter and lighter, and, as Asha pushed yet more magic into her, Asha noticed, in the corner of her eyes, that it had gone past what it had been before she’d encountered Druj. She was starting to change, the magical transformation was starting to come. But it had only just begun. Asha concentrated, her eyes still pouring out magical energy, for what came next would be the most intense magical experience of this girl had ever endured.

When the last of Druj's dark magic had been eradicated from Soraya's body, there was an instant wave of peace that swept over her soul. She had been in so much turmoil with a constant sense of heaviness and pain firmly within her ever since she had met that demon. Now though, she was totally free of his influences and actually in some ways felt lighter and better than she had in the longest time. Unfortunately though...without Druj's darkness, her soul was just...empty unable to find a natural balance on its own and return to its former state of being thanks to what Druj had done... For Soraya, there were only two ways to fill her soul and being back up through either Druj or Asha's power. With Druj's power free of her being, it allowed Soraya to go all in with Asha's power.
As Asha's eyes started to gleam more intensely than what they had previously, there was no denying that it was difficult for Soraya to not feel blinded by the angelic beings gaze. In fact, it was almost as if the young girl were looking into the sun from how powerful Asha's eyes seemed to be. Yet...her gaze was so warm and inviting, so hypnotic that Soraya couldn't look away. Even if she wanted to, she was magnetized to Asha's eyes and actually found herself falling into her blinding light even more than she had previously proving just how powerful Asha's gaze really was.
Under the cover of Asha's wings, Soraya hadn't even really noticed that it was starting to get a little toasty thanks to her jacket being on. Not until Asha mentioned it to Soraya did she remember she still had her jacket on. If she wasn't so captivated and mesmerized, she would have tried to remove the jacket around her body herself. Thankfully though, Asha happily took the liberty to get rid of Soraya's jacket for her allowing the girl to just continue staring in silence taking in Asha's eyes in their hypnotic glory. Once Soraya's jacket had been removed however, the mesmerized girl entered a whole new world of bliss...
Able to feel Asha's wings on her arms for the first time, it was beyond magnificent. Soft moans of contentedness escaped Soraya's lips as Asha's touch seeped into her skin. She felt so warm...so safe...so loved in Asha's tender, angelic embrace. Everything was just...so perfect that all she wanted to do was rest here gazing into Asha's blinding eyes and take in her magic. With Asha in this moment, she didn't have to worry about a thing. It was just so easy for her to relax in her kneeling position, take in the hypnotic warmth that soothed all of her senses, and absorb Asha's power into her own heart and soul to make her a new being. And...by doing just that, Soraya's body began to once more shift into yet another transformation.
Like with Druj before, when Soraya started to have the magical channels within her heart and soul gradually rerouted to receive Asha's magical Light energy, her long brown hair began to once more float in the air as if in a nonexistent breeze unhindered by the flow of gravity. It's color gradually began to change, but unlike before where Soraya's hair faded into a sheen of black, it actually began to grow lighter. Her hair would continue to gradually fade in color until it took on a shade akin to that of a powder blue. Soraya's eyes would follow suit by gradually growing lighter and brighter until they too took on a shade of light-blue signalling that she was well on her way to becoming a Maiden of Light. Unlike with Druj however, something else started to manifest itself as Asha plunged more of her power into Soraya's being...
Little by little, Soraya's now light-blue hair began to flow a little more erratic as if the 'wind' it was in had became a little more fierce. Her now glowing light blue eyes began to grow even brighter allowing Asha to see the light rapidly rising within her soul. And around her body, a light blue aura began to flow around her kneeling form showing the magic within herself beginning to strongly manifest itself outwardly. This aura also came out with soft, but powerful surges of electricity that sparked and snaked around Soraya's form showing that what magical power was coming to the surface was potent in nature. And...all of this came to the surface with only half of her power awakened... There was still so much more within her Asha needed to bring out and the physical manifestation of that power would only grow more intense as they went along...

Soraya’s body was starting to change, faster and faster now. Her hair, now an increasingly lighter shade of blue, had started to flow, the sheer force of Asha’s magic flooding out of her being like wind. Her eyes too began shift, becoming brighter like her hair. The changes were quite noticeable now, it was clear that she was almost there. Almost a Maiden of Light. She would have powers the likes of which most mortals could only dream of. Truth be told, Asha did not know exactly what powers Soraya would have, these things tended to be rather specific to each Maiden, but, however she specifically used her magic, Asha was certain that she would have more of it than she had seen in quite some time.
As Soraya’s body changed, she began to spark, her skin starting to glow like Asha, faintly, but perceptibly. Asha’s smile grew wider. A moment later, Asha’s wings started to spark too, magical energy pouring out to meet Soraya’s. Golden sparks showered off of her wings, sinking into Soraya’s skin, sparkling just underneath the surface, brightening the human’s glow bit by bit. Asha’s power was radiating off of her entire being, and the eye contact, it seemed, was only the beginning of the ways she could siphon magic into her Maidens.
The glow to Asha’s body grew brighter and brighter, as blinding as her eyes had been a moment ago, so that she was all that Soraya could make out. Her lips curled in an elegant, loving smile, Asha’s wings wrapped around the girl’s glowing form more tightly, feeling the soft skin of Soraya’s arms against the fluff of Asha’s feathers in a kind of hug. Soraya’s expression was perfect. Asha could feel her own heart at ease at how relaxed the girl’s body felt. At Soraya’s happy little moan, Asha’s hands moved, almost on their own, reaching up and clutching the girl’s face, pressing in on Soraya’s cheeks. At Asha’s touch, Soraya’s cheeks also began to glow more powerfully, Asha’s magic flooding through them into her system. Soraya loved the way she was feeling, and that made Asha feel incredibly proud. Noticing Soraya’s body quivering slightly, still resting on knees, Asha smiled, and, her wings still wrapped around Soraya’s body, began to gently float upwards, so that the girl’s feet floated just an inch or so off the ground.
“There you go...feeling so much more relaxed now,” Asha murmured, nodding to herself, her eyes locked on Soraya’s “You can feel all that power within yourself, can’t you, Soraya.” Asha gently stroked one of Soraya’s cheeks. “That’s you...that’s always been inside of you, that light, that magic.” Her voice grew quieter, barely a whisper, though Soraya would still hear every syllable. "Unleash yourself, Soraya. Let all your power loose."

Soraya's body was...doing so many different things at once. Her hair and eyes were shifting shades of color while her skin began to grow slightly paler with an almost otherworldly white glow. Her body was surrounded by a light blue aura along with electrical sparks snaking around her form. And with Asha pouring her magic into Soraya's being through sight and touch, these effects only became more prominent in her gradual transformation into a Maiden of Light. And yet...while all of this was happening, Soraya didn't seem to notice in the slightest...
Soraya was so captivated by Asha's eyes and warm touch that...nothing else mattered. Her senses were overridden by the hypnotic trance she had found herself in to where the only thing she did notice was Asha's beautiful eyes and hypnotic voice. Everything else around her was just...a distraction that the kneeling girl didn't need. Asha was all Soraya cared about and whatever happened to our otherwise was a nonissue as far as she was concerned... This...lack of concern or care would actually prove to be a powerfully positive thing in the moments to come.
While Soraya was quite captivated by the angelic being before her, her heart was firmly receptive and submissive towards Asha. It was to the point that only when Asha pointed out the output of power coming from Soraya's being did she finally notice it for the first time. She was still in a slight daze from the hypnotic trance she had fallen into, but having been made aware of what was going on thanks to Asha, Soraya couldn't ignore it anymore... She could feel the magical energy in her own body growing and pushing out of her being in the most intense way. Asha's words following this revelation allowed her to see it in a completely different light. This...was who she was. This power radiating out of her being was what had been laying beneath the surface all this time. It was a stunning revelation to Soraya who had never felt something like this before and due to her trance, couldn't exactly express herself emotionally to it. This though...was only the beginning and Asha's next move would take her from focusing on her power and...unleashing it to it's fullest potential...
When Asha gently leaned forward and began to whisper into Soraya's ear, the mesmerized youth had a long shiver slip down her spine finding the way Asha spoke to be hypnotically captivating. How she spoke to Soraya though along with what she said next would only help Soraya in doing what Asha had instructed her to do... Asha quietly told Soraya to unleash herself...to let all of her power loose. Without needing another word to say otherwise, Soraya's submissive heart took the instruction deep inside her being...and did just that...
Not more than single moment afterward did Soraya's power come bursting to the surface. The faint aura around her figure began to flare and flow as if a raging flame. A burst of wind emitting from her own body began to flow out of her being and her hair began to rapidly flow upwards as if she were standing in the middle of a hurricane. Her form let off a powerful glow that brightened every inch of the otherwise dim room she was in. Most impressive of all though...the small streaks of electricity that had been snaking around Soraya's body began to burst out erratically and powerfully. It was in this moment that the extent of Soraya's power was revealed...
From Soraya's body, anywhere that Asha hadn't covered with her wings, wild bolts of lightning began to flash and surge outward catalyzed from Soraya's magical powers. Her body was...like a thunderstorm in that moment and from it lightning came pouring out and spreading in all directions. Soraya certainly didn't mean for this to happen, nor what happened when this electrical energy made destructive contact with anything... Any bolt of lightning that made a sharp strike would instantly shatter whatever it touched while any bolt that had any sort of longevity to it would leave behind a charred path of where the lightning had been. In just a few moments of this, the room the two women were in began to look like a storm just run through it, all that damage caused by Soraya simply tapping into the full force of her powers as Asha instructed.
This violent display of power, while unintentional would only last for a few more moments before suddenly Soraya couldn't produce it any longer. Without warning, she let out a sharp gasp before collapsing right into Asha's arms. As her head came to lay against Asha's chest and every trace of her magical power faded, it became instantly apparent what the problem was... Soraya was exhausted... She had worn herself dramatically since encountering Druj and after what she had went through this night, it was a miracle she made it this long. With that sudden display of incredible power however, Soraya had used up the last bit of her energy and ended up collapsing from exhaustion as a result... While this all certainly seemed like a huge set back...it actually had no consequence on what Asha was trying to bring out of her. For Soraya's transformation into a Maiden of Light...was now complete.
Resting against Asha's chest, Soraya's body would slightly shiver and quiver from time to time as she started to adjust to her new state of being. There wasn't one ounce of darkness left in her soul like before, but instead light filled up every aspect of Soraya's being. Her heart and soul had been properly re-channeled to allow her power to flow freely, and as a result her own magical power was now flowing through her veins. Anyone who was sensitive enough to feel it would notice this now. Soraya's most prominent feature that she had successfully transformed though were her hair and eye colors which had both now shifted to a beautiful sheen of light blue that would stay with her for...a while. There was no doubt about it at this point that Soraya was indeed a Maiden of Light.
What would have stood out to Asha the most during this whole fiasco wouldn't have been her submissive heart, or her almost easing acceptance of this transformation. Instead, there was no doubt that Asha would take notice of Soraya's incredible display of power which revealed instantly that this girl was capable of potent light magic. It was more than that however as Soraya had used the most purest form of light magic to manifest lightning from her body. This was no doubt a rare and powerful ability, but...was it really her power or just a fluke? Either way, neither Soraya nor Asha would discover the truth of this right away as she was now sleeping rather soundly in Asha's embrace. It may have been some time before she woke again as she still had quite a bit of recovering to do, but...it was honestly for the best that Soraya got her rest now. When she woke up, she was going to experience a whole new world with a variety of challenges and trials unlike any she had ever experienced before...

Asha’s words did more than she thought they would, far more. She had been hoping to nudge Soraya a little further along in the process, make her subconscious mind start to work more actively to launch her into that magical state. What Asha did not expect was for Soraya to almost immediately make the transition. Her eyes went from a shining light blue to a gold that was almost as blinding as Asha’s own body. Soraya’s body started to glow, just like Asha’s, though there was something much more violent in the explosion of power. Where Asha shone, Soraya sparked, bits of electricity shooting out from her skin, sizzling against Asha’s feathery embrace, and burning dark spots into the floor around them. Her hair flared up, blowing around as if from a fierce wind.
Asha gazed into Soraya’s burning eyes in momentary awe. She had felt the potential burning within her, but, in that moment, Soraya had transcended all of Asha’s expectations. She had, for a single, shining moment, done what Asha had thought it would take her years to do, to manifest her powers, almost completely achieving a level of magic Asha had not anticipated her to reach in months, if not years. Soraya’s soul expanded, blazing with Light Magic, and, for one singular second, Asha stared into the eyes of a Maiden of Light, in her purest, more powerful form. She beamed down at Soraya, who still stared into her eyes. She was quite dazed, deeply hypnotized, but she wanted Soraya to feel how proud Asha was of her. She had made it through so much, her parent’s deaths, her sister joining with Druj, nearly dying thanks to the serpent. But here she was, more powerful than Soraya surely had ever dreamed.
Then Soraya’s eyes simply slid shut, and she collapsed against Asha, her head coming to rest against the spirit’s chest. The two of them had been floating, and Asha dropped a few inches before her wings flared out, catching them. One knocked against a wall, and she let out an inward groan, as her arms reached out to quickly hold Soraya’s body close to her own, keeping her from crashing onto the floor. Asha was surprised, not merely because Soraya had seemingly fainted, but because, within her soul, the fiery potential within her completely vanished. Her spirit was still purified, there wasn’t a drop of darkness in her, she was still a Maiden of Light. But the actual energy that Maidens used, the energy that she had a moment had so much of was gone. Asha stared, astounded. Soraya had, in a second, used up all of that energy in a single, powerful blast.
Slowly, she lowered herself back down onto the ground, gently leaning backwards into the chair, so that Soraya’s body was resting in her warm lap, her head still perched against Asha’s chest. Her wings moved, slowly draping themselves around Soraya’s shoulders, resting against her soft skin. Absentmindedly, one of Asha’s hands made its way to the back of Soraya’s head, stroking through her long hair, now a light shade of blue, quite unusual for a human, she supposed, but certainly not out of the order for a Maiden of the Light. As she rested, waiting for Soraya to wake, uncertain how long it would take her, Asha thought to herself, planning her next moves. Soraya would want to track down her sister, to save her as soon as she could. A second ago, that wouldn’t have been a problem, in that purified form she would have won a fight against any of Druj’s Maidens, but, now that Asha learned that she could only maintain that nigh-omnipotent form for a few seconds, she would need a lot of training to keep that form up for however long the inevitable battle was to last. Asha sighed, another hand gently cradling Soraya’s cheek. Her skin felt warm, radiating magic just as Asha did, if not as visibly. That power was still inside of her. She just needed to learn how to hold it back, mete it out in small enough doses to not drain herself in a few seconds.
“You did it, Soraya,” she murmured, quietly, hoping not to wake her to abruptly. “You did perfectly, my Maiden.”

What Soraya had done had astoundingly impressed Asha beyond anything she had expected. Soraya had let out a level of power that had been deemed by the angelic being of light as a force strong enough to stand up to anything Druj had to offer. And if Soraya had known that herself, there was honestly no telling how she would have reacted. Her power came and went so brilliantly like an explosion, gone with the moment. While that extreme power was one aspect of Soraya's character, the other side of her revealed itself to Asha following that incredible output of energy. Now resting in Asha's lap quietly, Soraya slept like a small child napping in their mother's embrace, and...that put on display a very concerning side of poor Soraya. She was indeed someone quite gifted with magical abilities, but with a heart as innocent and pure as a child's... One would have to wonder if someone like that was truly capable of utilizing magic to its fullest potential... Could...Soraya really fight and use that amazing potential of hers to battle others on a level Asha believed she could...?
The answer to that question would have to wait until the following morning to be solved, for Soraya would actually end up sleeping all through the night on Asha's lap lost in her warm embrace. She was so exhausted from everything that happened to her and after shooting out her magical energy to the max, there was nothing that could wake her now. And ironically enough...Asha's hypnosis actually helped to relax Soraya to the point where her sleep was as deep as it had ever been in her life. Add to it the warmth of Asha's body as she held her along with the security the angelic being's embrace seemed to provide and honestly, there wasn't anywhere else Soraya wanted to sleep.
Soraya's slumber, while deep and restorative also seemed to bring out the strangest dreams throughout the night. She...wasn't necessarily consciously aware yet of her transformation, but somehow the magic flowing through her body began to give Soraya very vivid dreams. Sometimes, the dreams would be of the olden days where she was still with her mom, dad, and sister living a happy normal life. Other times, she would see herself standing before Asha using her light magic to make the angelic being proud. These dreams...while actually visions of her past and future were incomprehensible to Soraya right now. She couldn't understand the nature of her prophetic dreams in that moment, but somehow they provided great comfort to her in her sleep. It didn't seem to matter whether she dreamed about the past with her family, or the future with Asha, these dreams...made her feel so warm and loved in a way she had never felt before. And...she really liked it...
Thanks to the strange dreams, Soraya would end up sleeping very soundly all night long. As she slumbered away, her body began to gradually adapt and get use to the change in her heart and soul. It would take a good day or two for this transformation of hers to really settle in before it became 'normal'. And on the journey to that point, Soraya was sure to find a lot of new things about herself she hadn't pictured when becoming a Maiden of Light. And...those things began to show themselves just as soon as the sun rose in the eastern sky on a new day.
As the sun gently shined into the room of her apartment complex, one of the few windows inside of Soraya's apartment actually happened to allow the sun to shine directly into her eyes. While she could seem to sleep just fine with Asha's brightness, that pesky sunshine was too bright for her for...some weird reason... Naturally not being much of a morning person, Soraya did her best to hide her face from the light by burying her head into Asha's wing. When she felt the feathery texture of the wing though rather than the quilty fabric of her sheets and blankets, Soraya opened her eyes somewhat confused.
It took the tired girl a few moments to gather her thoughts, but when she did, a soft little gasp escaped Soraya's lips. Soraya was shocked to see that she was not only sitting on Asha's lap, but had apparently slept there for...God only knew how long. With these realizations hitting her, a deep blush spread over Soraya's cheek from embarrassment. She...didn't mean to fall asleep on Asha like she had nor did she seem to remember HOW she came to fall asleep like that. While it was embarrassing, a part of Soraya...actually seemed to like it. Like...it felt at home being so close to Asha like this...
Soraya would only stay lost in her little daze and confusion for a moment before she softly made her way off of Asha's lap who...was probably tired of holding the young girl's body like she had all night by now. The moment that Soraya was off of Asha though, something...strange hit her and compelled her to do certain things... Almost as if by instinct, Soraya gently allowed herself to fall to her knees and once kneeling before Asha, the young girl respectively lowered her head out of a sign of respect... If that wasn't strange enough, the words that flew out of Soraya's mouth were the strangest of all...
"Oh...I am so sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep on you like that." Soraya tried to explain, apologizing with the utmost sincerity. "...I'm...not even sure how I ended up falling asleep on you like that. Everything from last night is...a blur to me right now. Please...forgive me, Mistress Asha..."
That's...when it hit her that something wasn't right, or...at least normal. Mistress...Asha? That was a term to someone dominant and Soraya had just referred to Asha in such a way. Why did she do that? And...why did it feel like instinct for her to just kneel in place just to apologize for falling asleep on her like a drunk woman? What Soraya didn't know was her newly transformed state was to blame for that, along with her still adjusting mind and body to the Light instilled by Asha. It didn't help that her naturally submissive heart kind of...took the side quirks of the transformation to the extremes. She was sure to balance out eventually, but...this newfound submissive instinct would be prevalent for at least a little while.

Asha’s night had been quite peaceful, seated there, feeling Soraya’s body weigh comfortably against her, feeling each of the sleeping girl’s slow breaths. It was, if anything, rather soothing. Asha, herself not a creature that needed sleep, found herself dozing a little nonetheless, her mind wandering. Soraya was exceptionally powerful, and yet, she seemed so innocent, so incredibly submissive to the slightest dominant impulse, be it from Druj, herself, or even Soraya’s own reflection. She might have the power to fight other Maidens, if only for a few seconds but...did she have the ability to actually hurt another human?
The night waned, and Asha could feel the break of day long before it actually began. She could feel the dawn, sense the intensely powerful light of sun drawing closer and closer to the city. Soon the light of day was slowly creeping into the apartment’s narrow windows. And still, Soraya slept comfortably in her lap. Asha let out a soft giggle as the light reached Soraya, making her instinctively burrow her head into one of Asha’s wings. The difference in texture of the wing to whatever she was used to sleeping with seemed to wake her, and Asha watched as her eyes blearily opened, taking in the fact that this was not her bed. Asha gazed down at her, pleased to note that her eyes were still that pale shade of blue. She could sense the light energy of a Maiden of Light, albeit somewhat depleted still, but definitely there.
Asha couldn’t help but laugh again as Soraya hastily drew herself out of Asha’s lap, dropping to her knees in a low sort of bow. She seemed confused at her own movements, and, as she stuttered out an apology, the girl’s confusion seemed only to redouble, as she called Asha her Mistress. It wasn’t exactly out of the ordinary. Once upon a time, when all warriors were bound to a king or an emperor that they treated in such a submissive manner. Now, such habits were thoroughly archaic, but there was still some element of them in Asha’s hypnosis, it seemed. Soraya, in her unparalleled meekness, seemed to not even be able to help but call her Mistress.
With another soft laugh, Asha leaned forward in her seat, reaching out to gently take Soraya’s chin, carefully pulling her out of her bow. She smiled, noting the deep blush on the confused girl’s face. “There’s no need to be so formal with me, Soraya,” she said, with a twinkle in her eye. Her hand gently letting go of the girl’s face, she leaned back in her seat, looking almost apologetic. “If anything, I should apologize. I might have strained your spirit a little too hard in getting you to transition. You did amazingly, but the process might have worn you down a bit.” Asha gave her another warm smile. She was sure that Soraya felt confused, scared even, and she wanted her to know that everything would be fine.

When Asha gently leaned forward to take Soraya's chin into her hand and draw her out of her bow, there was no resistance on Soraya's part. She quietly lifted her head up to let her now light blue eyes look into Asha's and smiled hearing that everything was fine and that she didn't need to be as formal as she was. Somehow, Soraya could just see the slight twinkle in Asha's eyes and giggled a bit herself seeing how happy she seemed to be. It...was actually quite childish in some ways how Soraya was both acting and feeling.
Soraya's emotions and state of being would only last like this for a few moments before she heard Asha apologize to her about what had happened last night. When she brought up the transformation in subject, Soraya suddenly remembered what last night was all about. Though her memory of what happened from the moment she gazed into Asha's eyes to when she blacked out was totally hazy, she did remember agreeing with Asha to become a Maiden of Light. Based off of what Asha said, the transformation came in well enough, but resulted in her unconscious state she found herself in. It...suddenly started to make sense what had happened and what she had been missing out on in terms of events fogged over in her memory.
"Oh, so that's...why I ended up sleeping last night...because of the transition. I was worried that I had fallen asleep on you during the whole thing and slept until..." It was in this moment that Soraya glanced away from Asha's eyes trying to see what time it was...only to suddenly realize her clock on the wall...wasn't exactly on the wall anymore, but shattered on the floor in pieces... "...Wait... What the heck? What happened to the clock? And... Oh my gosh!"
AS Soraya's eyes trailed from the wall where her clock was to looking around the apartment, she finally saw the damage she had unknowingly caused for the very first time. Soraya was stunned to see black, charred paths scattered throughout the walls, carpeting and the ceiling. Various pieces of furniture outside of Asha's chair had holes in them while the various knickknacks Soraya had hanging on the wall seemed to be damaged and shattered much like the clock was... Soraya had caused quite a mess in her apartment and was just now becoming aware of it. Sadly, she didn't remember that SHE was the one who caused this mess...
"...M-my apartment... How did...it get like this!?" Soraya exclaimed worriedly as she jumped up to her feet looking around. Her knees began to shake a bit nervously as she glanced around taking in all the devastation. "Oh no... No, no, no, no, no! Mistress, what happened!? How did my house get like this? Oh gosh...if my landlord sees this mess, I'm going to get evicted..."
