"No I want my mom, but I'll never see her again." Emma places her hands to her eyes as tears stared to fill her eyes again. Sure the plant woman seemed friendly but the poor little girl had just lost both her parents and it hurt so much.

Celine slid behind the girl and placed her hands on her shoulders.
"To have memories of your family and then to lose them at such a young age, is probably worse than having no memories at all," Celine said. "I know it hurts now but it'll be okay,"
The alraune snaked her arms around Emma in a hug.

The little girl lets Celine hold her, not fighting at all. All she could think about was her parents gone. She also though that it may have been a bad idea to run into the woods. They are dangerous and now she is all by herself. Though this plant seemed nice. Maybe she has found a friend. But it may take a while till the pain of missing her parents goes down. Little did she know about the special tricks this talking plant had

"Come along, you must be hungry," Celine said.
The alraune rises from the ground and offers a hand to help Emma up. She decided to stop her pheromones for now and had some apples at the ready for they were soaking inside her nectar pool.

But Emma didn't take her offer. She turned her head away. The pheromone did it's job to calm her down, but children; especially young ones take time to heal from a tragedy. All she could think about was that her parents were dead. She tucked her knees up to her chest and hid her eyes. "My tummy hurts," she said, her voice slightly muffled by her legs.

Celine strokes Emma's dark hair in the hopes of comforting her.
"A little food might help with that," Celine said as one of her vines brought one of the apples to her.
The alraune used one of her thorns to cut the apple in half and handed one half to the girl.

Emma peeks from the top of her knees. She sees the apple Celine was offering. Slowly she takes one of the half's and takes a teeny tiny bite. She sits in silence and after a moment takes another tiny bite. She keeps going at the same pace. Little by little drops of Celine's necture that the apple was soaking is was building up in her stomach. But it was enough yet to take affect

Celine than has a regular apple brought in after it was washed in the river water and cuts it in half as well after she sits down next to Emma. The alraune notices the small bites but says nothing about it seeing as how the girl's eyes were slowly turning golden again. But Celine didn't want Emma completely under just yet and offered her another half of apple, the regular one.

Emma doesn't accept the second apple and just concentrates on the one she was already eating. After all shouldn't she finish what she had first before having more? That was what her dad taught her.

Celine wasn't the only unnatural creature in this jungle.
In a cave not too far from where Celine and Emma were sitting, there lived an arachne by the name Sprinda. She had a tan human upper body and the lower body of a giant black spider. Medium-long black hair, burgundy-colored eyes, and clawed hands. Sprinda wasn't a man-eater as most humans would assume but she does make a habit of scaring anyone who dared to come near her territory.
Lately, though, the humans had not traveled as far as her cave so Sprinda grew bored and decided to venture out. She crept through the forest floor when she happened to catch the familiar smell of Celine's flowers. It was rather weak thus it didn't affect her as it did Emma. Sprinda thought she might as well pay the flower woman a visit but before she revealed herself she spotted the human girl.
The only thing more surprising than seeing a human with Celine was that this human was obviously awake. This intrigued the arachne very much.
Sprinda stepped out of hiding. "Hello Celine," she greeted with a fanged smile.

Emma looks to where the voice came from. She yelped in fear and hides behind the closest obstacle there was. Celine. The apple she was eating was dropped to the ground not cared about, as the little girl was frightened by the scary woman. Emma clings to Celine and shuts her eyes. In her mind she was wishing her mom would came and protect her.

Celine turns her head and sees the arachne. She was about to speak when Emma hides behind her and clings to her waist in fear. The alraune wasn't too surprised, to be honest, the arachne knew how to rattle the humans.
"Hello Sprinda," Celine greets in a civilized manner as she wraps a vine around Emma to give her some comfort. "What brings you out in broad daylight?"
"Well I know its the only time you're out and about, so I thought I'd visit," the arachne said. "But I can see that you have a little visitor already. Forgive me if I'm intruding,"
"Would it matter, either way, we both know you're not just going to leave. If you insist on a visit, feel free, so long as we have an understanding,"
"About what?" Sprinda asked.
"She is mine and if you touch her I'll choke you out," Celine said firmly before whispering to Emma, "It's okay darling, just stay close,"
"Hmmm, challenge accepted," Sprinda said before she lowers her body down to the ground. "So who is this little one?"
"Her name is Emma," Celine answered. She whispers to the girl, "Go ahead and say hello dear,"

Emma stays behind Celine, but twittles her fingers in a small wave at the spider woman. Emma was really confused to see both of the two woman she had met in the forest. One looked like a flower, the other a spider. They were both pretty, but made her a little shy. Though Celine seems to be a nice lady maybe this other one would be too.

"Not very talkative, is she?" Sprinda noted. "So, is she your guest? Your pet? What... what is this exactly?" she asked.
"No," Celine answers, "Not my pet or prisoner. I have decided to take care of Emma, as her mother,"
Sprinda stares at the alraune for a moment before she started to chuckle. But the fits of laughter died as she saw the seriousness in Celine's ebony eyes.
"Oh, you're serious?" Sprinda asked. "Are you really so emotionally deprived that you decided to adopt a human!? Do you know how much trouble you could cause for the rest of the jungle?"
"There is no threat to be worried over. From what she has told me, we won't have any trouble from other humans looking for her." Celine said. "Isn't that right Emma?"

Emma looks up at Celine. "You want to be my mamma?" she asked. She wasn't sure what to feel for that. It would be nice to have a mom again, but Celine was still a stranger. Yet she's been nice. Maybe it would be okey. She didn't have a home to go back to or a family. And she didn't want to go to an orphanage. Emma spread her hands that were clinging Celine into a hug holding her waist.
