Anika was feeling tired and her eyes were only half open now but the wide smile was still on her face. The jungle girl nodded to the arachne.
"Yes, Mistress," Anika replied.

Arca gave the jungle girl a pat on the head and gets to work. There wasn’t too many furnishings that are suitable for a giant spider woman. Mostly they are good with a giant web to use like a bed or a seat. They would sometimes also shape certain smaller ones to work like a snare or trap for unwanted company or to catch prey. but there was something else Arca was working on too. Close to the pile of food she had gathered she was working on a new type of a cocoon. She wanted to get a start on it but this will be a work in progress.

Anika, coupled with the slight blood loss and orders to relax, grew more tired after a while. Her eyelids became heavy, she yawned but was unable to stretch, and her eyes fluttered. But she would not sleep unless ordered.

Arca heard the yawn. “If you want to sleep you have my permission.” Arca had finished what she wanted for the cocoon. It wasn’t finished but that was fine. She then gets the food supple in a safe cocoon too which will keep pests away. Now it was time for another type of sewing project. There was a way to weave the silk to where it won’t be so sticky to the touch and that’s what she wanted. What she was going to do was clean away the stickiness and then weave them together.

Anika didn't need to be told twice as she yawned one more time before falling into a deep and content sleep. As she rested, her body rested comfortably in the cocoon as it tried to recover from the blood draining. Anika began to snore as time passed.

As the girl cub slept, memories of the past were coming to the surface in both minds. Back to the time were the two species first laid eyes on each other, and how they became friends.

(Dreams of the Past)
It was a normal humid day when the jungle girl, Anika, was strolling through the thickest parts of the jungle. Just as she passed a tree, a mango was thrown at her and just barely hit her feet. The girl jumped back from the ruined fruit before hearing laughter from up above. Anika looked up and saw three monkeys pointing and laughing at her.
Anika was enraged. “Oh, so you think that’s funny? Why don’t come down here and I’ll give something to really laugh about!”
“No way girly girl,” said one money.
“We are the best tribe in the jungle,” said the second monkey.
“And we don’t take orders from you,” said the third. “‘Specially after what did to Louie.”
“Louie is a idiot blow•hard and everyone knows it! Also, HA, some tribe! You’re just a bunch of cowards hiding in trees and old ruins.”
“You call us cowards! We just came from stealing something that one else dares to go to!” The monkey looked at the others before looking back at Anika. “We stole from the Arachne herself. Arca!”
“Arca?” Anika questioned. “She just a story to scare man,”
“No, it’s true and we have proof.”
One monkey held out a strand of silky silver webbing.
“So?” Anika asked.
“We stole this from Arca herself! Not that you’d ever see.”
“Yeah, one look at her and you’ll be a big ol’ scaredy-pup!”
Anika snarled. “Hey, I’m not scared of anything especially some myth. And even if she did exist, I could’ve done better than just a web.”
“Like what?”
Anika past when she scratched me and accidentally plucks a strand of her hair. “I can steal hair from her own head,” she smiled.
The monkeys disagreed with grunts.
“Can to,” Anika countered. “You wanna bet I can’t!?”
“Sure!” One monkey said. “If you chicken out or fail, you come with us to see Louie again.”
“Okay but if I win, you’ll be my slaves for a day!”
“You’re on!” They all agreed. “Follow us!”
The monkeys led Anika to the cave. What she didn’t know was that this was a set up. The monkeys never stole from Arca, they just needed to convince the human to go to the Arachne. This was for revenge for the ridicule their king suffered at the hands of the jungle girl. Soon they reached the cave.
“Arca’s in there!” One monkey pointed out.
“Good luck, you’ll need it.” Another monkey said.
Anika didn’t pay them anymore attention and snuck into the cave, ready to face whatever was inside.

Inside the cave, Arca was combing the very hair Anika was planning to come take. It was much longer back in the past. In fact it was tradition for Arachne to have their hair long when they are in thei young years for it was part of a certain culture they do. She gave it a swish and then fashions a hair tie to hold it in a simple bun. She liked to keep it up and out of her face when she was busy and it was just about to step out and go hunt. but as she stepped near the mouth she noticed a shadow coming closer to the cave’s mouth. The sun wasn’t setting that fast to do that. Something was coming to her cave. She slowly backed up. She gave a hiss to try and scare away whatever was daring to trespass.

Anika grabbed a sharp rock and snuck into the cave. The hiss was startling but not enough to frighten the jungle girl. She slowly walked in.
“I am Anika of the wolf tribe,” she announced, “We are of one blood, you and I. I seek the Arachne Arca. If you are here then reveal yourself,”
Anika readied her weapon just in case.

“Unless you are me there is none of a chance we are one of blood. Begone or I warn you, you will dangle from my webs.” Arca backs further with another hiss. She then begins to climb a wall, nothing will be able to follow her there.

"The blood oath is a common saying in the jungle, you must not get out much," Ankia said.
She couldn't see the arachne but she heard the movement of the rocks as the spider legs brushed against them. The jungle girl still kept her sharpened rock in hand.
"And it'll take more than lite hissing and webbing to scare me off."

This time she didn't answer the intruder. Arca kept to the darkness on the ceiling. If this person won't take a warning then they will face the consequences they foolishly chose to ignore. She silent gathered some silk to her human hands. While her eyes watched the ground, she interlocked the web through her finders like a cat's cradle, making what she'll need to use for this intruder.

Anika steadied herself unaware of Arca above her when the human suddenly felt something brush against her toes. Aniak looked down and saw a spider had crawled to her. Most humans would scream or maybe try to kill such a large arachnid but not this jungle girl. Instead, Anika bent down, let the spider crawl onto her palm and brought her closer.
"I don't suppose you can tell me where the Arachne is hiding?" Anika spoke softly to or rather at the spider since she didn't know their language. The spider did nothing but stay still and gave no reply. "Ah well, go find a safer place to crawl on." She slowly moved her hand towards the ground. The spider crawled away and into the darkness.

Finally she was able to see who it was that wanted to bother her. This surprised her for it wasn't what she expected. She thought maybe the monkeys again that she had noticed playing just a distant away from her cave. she gave them quite a scare too. Or perhaps another type of animal was there but never would she have guessed it was a human child. Humans live in a village that is days away from her cave. But looking she did see this human was wearing different clothing than the humans that get lost in the jungle. and the way she held that stone for a weapon told her that this girl cub must be more at home in the jungle than a human village. 'An odd one, but still I wasn't asking for company.' She readies her webbing and like any spider she waits for the right moment.

Anika felt the need to travel further into the cave but a large part of brain told her otherwise. Wolves, no matter how bold or strong, wouldn’t just travel deeper in an unknown cave. You never know if the cave would have wider passages, giving room for the creature to jump and catch you off guard. Anika knew this but also knew standing here too long made her an easy target.
Without another thought about it, the girl stealth-fully stepped further into the cave.
