Being that I am a frequent rper here, I thought it might be an idea for me to ask of other rpers something. I'm a rather fresh Dungeon Master for the famous game, and while I have good plot lines and good fighting encounters, I feel I'm lacking in a puzzles/ mind encounters to give my players. So I thought I'd have this thread be a place for some to post their ideas that they come up with/ find, etc. Excited to see what people come up with.

I’ve actually been working on my own system for d&d over the past term, funnily enough. Glad to know I’m not the only person who plays d&d, though.

I find that GURPS is generally a more flexible and interesting system to use. That aside I think one of the most interesting things that you can do is have a shapeshifter take the form of one of your players, and have that player play both so that the other players have to figure out which is the real one. I think that one's also particularly hard to execute well, however.

I agree with "drastif" Gurps is a good starter system and fairly easy to pick up, iit's quick to lurn and has moduel books for....well just about everything, because of it's nature Gurps can be taken and made to work with just about everything, heck you name it, someones made a book of ity for Gurps. One of my personal faves is "Cthulhupunk" combining the Eldrich horror of H P Lovecraft with the futuristic world of Cyberpunk. What i'd say to my friends is. "You may not be able to kill a deep one in Call of Cthulhu....but you never tried with a chainsaw arm....you never tried a belt fed bazooka"

I'm more of a Mutants & Masterminds person myself. Technically, you don't even have to play superheroes. Now, as far as Dungeons and Dragons is concerned, I consider their nagas (basically snakes with human-like faces) to be the best kind of nagas. I also like their hypnosnakes, heways and Elder Serpents.
