The jungle was often seen as a place of serenity, coupled with hidden dangers that often outweighed it's beauty. Though for a hidden species the danger's weren't much of an issue. Well, mostly. The naga and lamia species were dominant in the exotic jungles of the Amazon, and one of the tribes housed a peculiar specimen. While most of the males were broad, sturdy hunters from head to toe, one of the males had an irregularity compared to them.
"Come on, you're not even trying, Dhaya. You still can't lift some of the simpler weapons," came a concerned call from a smaller naga, built lean with a blue tail, hair, and eyes. He had proven his smaller stature in the hunts to make the twisted turns through the trees better than other larger brutes. Then there was Dhaya. His human half wasn't scrawny, but it wasn't strong or lean compared to the rest of the tribe either. What was even weirder, however, was that his tail rivaled the other males in length and size. A bright golden hue covered his scales and eyes, with short blonde hair. "It's no use, Kaga, we've tried this for months. Nothing's working," he said, looking down at his arms before sighing. "I say Kaga isn't training him hard enough," came a female voice from above the arena. Felled trees at ranging intervals created a form of dome hidden from the outside world. It was a red lamia in the stands with crossed arms. "They get to your weaker half and you are a goner." Many other jests came from several watchers, and the young naga clenched his fists before storming out of the arena. "Dhaya! Don't go!" Kaga called out, but it was too late. He had already fled into the jungles, unknown to him that there was an encounter he'd soon never forget.

Deep inside the maze of ancient green a young lady had found herself in the densest and darkest part of the gigantic forest. Yet, she diden't seem panicked nor stressed about her situation, as she was well equipped with a compass, a hunting knife and a tranquilizer rifle. The latter being slung over her back along side a survival bag holding all the things necesary for a walk in the jungle. With her black tank top and jeans shorts aswell as some traveling boots she was dressed fitting for such an occasion aswell.
Yet...it diden't make this all any less exhausting. The humid warmth of the jungle was sureley getting to her and after walking for two hours straight she needed a break.
With her slightly tanned skin and raven black hair matted with sweat she sat down in the shadow of one of the big trees, takimg out a big bottle and a small snack she began to eat and drink to refresh herself.

Dhaya adorned himself in a simple tunic and wandered the jungles, as he often did by himself day after day. He'd play with a few of the animals to pass the time, lifting his spirits from the judgment of his people. Only today he found some of them curious about something, some even fearful, their gaze fixed on a clearing. "Now what could be troubling you," he said peering around a tree, only to duck behind it. Twenty feet away or so was something he thought he'd never see. Old folk tales spoke of tribes of No-Tails that had conflicts with Naga. Though this one looked nothing like the depictions and glyphs he studied. That and she didn't hold a spear, but some odd stick of sorts. He cautiously peered again. She seemed harmless, not looking for a fight, but was resting from an arduous journey.
The naga found himself drawn to this girl, for she wasn't as built as many of the females. But she wasn't weak either by any means, and before he knew it he slumped to the very tree she was seated at. And in his curiosity his tail snapped a few twigs and he froze, hoping the brush might hide him for the time being.

Liz with her eyes wide open looked up from her sandvich, she had heard rusteling as if a heavy animal was moving in the bush. Pputting her meal back into her bag she stood up, her rifle now in her hands as she stood up and looked around. Carefully, still keeping her eyes open and listening for any noise she began to walk away, before turning away and sprinting off far away from the noise, the last thing she needed was to be attacked by some wild animal.
After a good twenty minutes of sprinting and running Liz found an opening in the forest wich was crossed by a small river, she again checked for any hostile animals before lowering herself down to refill her bottle with the fresh water.
After a quick look at her compass Liz comtinued to walk, now making her way back home.

Dhaya exhaled as she turned, only for a knot in his stomach to form. He didn't want her to flee like she did, and took off after her. Without a tail he noticed she could fit through the trees and weave faster than he. But he knew the jungles really well, managing to reach the stream about the same time she did. She stooped to take some water, and he chanced a closer look, lowering from atop a tree to hang upside down. She looked around one last time, not thinking to look up. But a resounding crack made his eyes widen as he came crashing down in the clearing in a heap of scales and branches. It was also unfortunate that his human half landed atop the girl, and he groaned. He stumbled upright, holding his head before freezing again, finding the girl in front of him.

Liz just looked up a second before the Naga came crashing down, she tried to jump to the side but it was already to late.
She groaned as she tried to get up, yet found herself pinned under a mass of scales and a human body attached to it all.
Liz stared at him in shock even forgetting to struggle out from under his body.

Seeing that she was as frozen as he was, he shifted his tail, wrapping once around her waist with his tail. His hold was gentle, but firm as his mass of coils formed a coiled bed beneath her. He rubbed his back, spotting the rifle next to her between a bundle of his coils. He slowly reached for it, though the grip around her waist was loose enough that she could make an attempt to reach for it. She appeared to be as curious of him as he was of her, he just didn't know how long it would last.

Liz finally broke out of her shocked state as she felt his cold scaley tail wrap around her waist.
With haste in her movement she grabbed her rifle and pushed herself away and out of his grip with both her legs and arms, with a hop she stood up. Her rifle in her hands, yet not pointed at him. "Wh-what are you ?! And why did you do that ?" She asked, her voice full of confusion and nervousity.

Her quick movements caught him by surprise, and his hand hovered where the rifle used to be. His eyes gazed at her, surprised she spoke the same language he knew. "Believe it or not, I was a victim of a heavy weight on something that couldn't support me. Forgive me. I was curious to find a No-Tail this far in these jungles. I am a Naga, much like you but, well, a different lower half. Sorry to drop on you like that."

"I see...but I'm a human...not a Naga so ofcourse I don't have a tail." She replied looking to him still confused yet her nervousity having mostly faded, he seemed quite friendly after all. "But...it's quite alright, you just scared me alot."

"Hu-man?" he repeated. His coils relaxed, extending out to fill most of the clearing. "I've only learned of your kind, but to see one..." he paused as he closed the distance between them. One could say he came dangerously close. Almost eye to eye. "But all that I've read... you don't fit that description at all." His thick tail brushed against her leg, for he looked like a child seeing a legend for the first time.

Liz coulden't help but feel nervous again, bunched up his body looked rather small and short, yet as he now spread himself out Liz could see how long he truely was. "What do you mean by that ? I think I look pretty hum-" Her sentence was cut of by a shiver as she felt his cold scales rub against her bare leg, making her jump back. She was getting more nervous, her instinct to run was screaming at her to flee yet she stayed, her own curiousity taking charge.

"Oh, no, not your appearance. Forgive me, we are inquisitive by nature. I meant you don't act like I've learned your kind acts." She was watching his extended tail, sighing heavily as he may be intimidating her. He rolled his coils into a ball-like heap behind him, seating himself on top of it. His tail crawled out a coupled of feet before making a coil bed out of three curls. "Would you like to sit? I assure you, you have nothing to worry about." He rubbed his hands, as they were clammy. She was wary of him, which was certainly a different tone than he was used to. "I guess for starters, I'll introduce myself. I am Dhaya."

"I..." Liz was just getting more and more confused by what he was talking about, yet it just made her curiousity scream louder and as he withdrew his tail and offerd her a seat it finally gained the upper hand. Sighing Liz carefully walk towards the offerd seat and sat down, laying her rifle at her side. She bowed a bit as she introduced herself. "I'm Liz, it's uh...nice to meet you." She said, sounding a bit more relaxed by now, yet still confused. "Sooo...what do you mean by me not acting like...my kind ?" She asked tilting her head a little.

"Well, in Naga history, I've only read about conflicts with... humans," he said, struggling a little with the word. "Violent conflicts that were provoked by your kind. But I look at you and I see... I see a gentle soul." Her name ran through his head, and he couldn't help but smile as she sat on his coil bed. "I'm sorry, this perhaps shouldn't be the conversation in first greeting someone. But if i may ask, what brings you out to these jungles? My entire life was spent not seeing a human, and it's been longer since my tribe has seen one." The tip of his tail twitched next to her, which he moved a couple more feet from her as his nerves rose, shifting her seat briefly before laying still as he could muster. "And I'm sure it's overwhelming to see one of me for the first time."
