"There's an index at the center of the library. We could use that to get an idea..." he said before the Eevee discovered the stone by the old scrolls, causing the ghostly form to appear, making him reel back a bit. "Or that might give us a hunch..."
The guards retrieved the daggers and trinkets from his person, carefully taking them aside before they flinched at the wings. No one commented at their state and simply collected the coverings. Serena sighed and moved next to him. "Now then, we should head to the throne room," she said, looking to one of the guards, a furret. "Go and inform the Queen. She'll either provide a judge or be the judge..." The guard nodded, running out to the throne room. "The rest of you, stay behind me and the culprit. Keep a close eye on him..."

Fizzling back to her old self once more, she blew on the shelf, coughing briefly as clouds clung to the parchment. She brought the scrolls to a nearby table, spreading them out. She spread one out, revealing outlines of several stones. "This is an entire inventory," she said, running her paw along several of them. She turned to several more, opening one. "Oh, but most of these are in a language I've never seen before.." she groaned.
The Noivern was silent, looking straight at the ground as he was led to the throne room. Though he couldn't help but glance at the Dragonair every now and again.

"Well, you at least have some kind of reference for the amount and appearance of the stones..." he said, climbing up with her and looking through. "There might be some kind of transcription around here somewhere..."
The Dragonair retained her stoic expression as they would be waiting outside the door to the throne room. The guards passed them to a new group of them. "Make sure to make a new section in the storage building..." the Weavile told them as they carried the trinkets and arms away...

Eden and Samuel searched through several transcripts, finding similar ones to the texts, but none never really matched the ones they were looking at. Eden passed the most recent addition of stones in her hands. "I do wonder why one of these was here, though, if you haven't seen this in action before."
He looked at the things being taken away, huffing under his breath. "Back to being nothing," he whispered to himself, an urge to leap for the goods striking at him, but with the one guard he couldn't face and several more to back her up, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance without anything to defend himself.

"I haven't a clue..." he said, shrugging with his tail beside him. "I've only really seen maybe one guy take a quick look at these a few times..."
A guard appeared from the door to the knight. "The Queen is ready to see you..." he spoke, prompting a nod from the knight. She led the thief into the courtyard who would now be meeting the gaze of the Queen. She wasn't on the throne, but floating down within eye-level of the Wyvern as she gave a stoic, professional gaze. "State your name, so the court may identify you properly..."

"Really? And who might that have been?" Eden asked, cocking her head. "He might know more than we do."
He inhaled deeply, rising to meet her eye level before exhaling. "Levitas, oh Mighty One," he said. Not a smirk framed his face, his stupor lax and beaten down. "Seeing as my other name wouldn't suffice, though none of it matters."

"Umm...I think he might've been an old looking Flareon..." he said, scratching his chin a bit more. "I think he might be one of the elder scholars that live just out of the outskirts of the castle..."
Serena looked over at him in a bit of concern towards him, but kept standing strong. The Queen never loosened her expression and simply nodded as she floated a paper to her hands and read it. "Levitas, you are charged with tresspassing into unauthorized castle grounds, attempted grand larceny, and unprovoked use of force against a guard. How do you plead?"

"Well that's a start. Thanks for all the help," she said. "Though I think this can wait for a while if you want to take that break."
Levitas cracked a smirk, shaking his head. "You don't need a confession from me, but if it makes you feel better, guilty as charged." With that his smile faded.

"Hey! It's not a problem at all, Eden!" he said with a grin. "But yeah, I'd say we made progress on this search for now. Might as well take a break..."
"Just part of the process, gotta make it fair in this case..." she replied, floating the paper back. "Alright, let's not waste too much time with this. This clearly isn't the first time you've done this, but in the eyes of Dial, this is your first offense. Considering that and, despite your constant thieving in other places, you don't seem to have any reported murders, attempted or otherwise, I'm going to be lenient and give you a choice..."

"You know, now might be a g-good time to.. you know... show me that fancy skill of y-yours," she said, her nervous knack returning swiftly, rotating the stone in her paws and averting his gaze.
"Wait, you're joking, right?" Levitas asked. "You're showing me... mercy?" Confusion spilled onto his face. "I was told mercy doesn't exist...." He cleared his throat as the court seemed to stare at him. "What did you have in mind?" He was curious, and his solemn stature was gone, at least for the moment.

"Oh...you're a bit eager to try it out, huh?" he said, a blush on his face as he chuckled. He seemed to look around for a second. "Well, I'd certainly be glad to, cutie..." He smirked, placing his tail beneath her chin and guiding her eyes to his, now spiralling once again for her to see. "I'll let you watch while I guide you to your quarters..."
The Queen's eyes widened a bit at his sudden outburst, but cleared her throat as she continued. "Well, either way, it's nine months maximum, but your sentence can be one of two things. Either you'll be imprisoned in barred doors and do community service under strict supervision from multiple guards, or you'll be placed in more traditional rooms and perform duties under one of our knights while given mental restraints."

"Okie," she said, like a moth to a flame, her mouth slightly agape as she followed him without question. "So.... pretty...."
"Oh," Levitas breathed. Glancing at the Dragonair and back to the Queen. "I assume by mental restraint, I take it one of your jewels uses their hocus pocus?" he fell silent, flashes of his past coming to him. "Well, I've been behind barred doors with guards before... a different kind of prison, you might say." He thought a while longer, before giving a puzzled look to the Queen. "Why are you giving me a choice? Where i come from a decision is made for you, no questions asked...." he trailed, staring into space as his mind whirred.

Samuel smiled, maintaining the majority of his eye contact as he slowly slithered in front with his head towards her. "Good...just follow the pretty colors, Eden..." he cooed, occasionally glancing to avoid running into anything as they exited the library.
"That 'hocus pocus' will make you unable leave the castle unless a knight tells you and unable to use your attacks at all except if allow or in a self defense situation, as well as a few other restraints. You'll still be free-thinking, but the trance in the mind won't let your body do those actions..." she explained, placing her hands behind her back. "We do things a bit differently here. See, you do have a bit more freedom to roam and a bit more of a cozy privacy in one option, plus we'd be able to use a lot less manpower and worktime with you guaranteed to stay where you are. But I know some who don't wish to be altered within their mind in anyway, understandably. Again, conscious thought and speech are kept, but it's up to you."

She followed in a zig-zag pattern, almost as if she were dizzy while looking at the spirals. Everything else out of mind, she was oblivious to everything else.
"Well, it's certainly something new. While I don't like the idea entirely, I am the one that did all this... so let's give it a shot."

Samuel led her down the hall and soon came to a door, opening and taking her paw to guide her in. The inside of the room was quite fancy, yet simple. It had a bed suitable to her size and more, a window with a view of the castle, a writing desk and several other essentials...not that she'd notice with the spirals she concentrated on. "Now, go ahead and place your belongings where you need them and have a seat on the bed, if you like. Then I'll get you all nice and comfy..."
The Queen nodded and gave a small smile. "Then it's settled. For eight months, you will be serving Lady Serena." she said, turning to the Dragonair. "Lady Serena, if you would escort Levitas to get him prepared." The Dragonair and motioned her head to through a door at the side of the courtroom, leading him there with him at her side. The next room would be rather small with only the exit right in front of the way they entered. "Alright, Levitas, this time, I do require eye contact..."
