[It seemed as if everything had calmed down for the briefest moment, allowing the two remaining legendaries to relax just a bit. This moment lived as swiftly as it had appeared. With the form of a fire type bursting from the ground and flying towards the leader of the Swords of Justice, seemingly holding one intent. With capable reflexes, the steel and fighting type evaded the punch, gesturing to Virizion to prioritize defending their unconscious comrade. The iron will Pokemon unleashed a flash cannon to the Darmanitan in hopes of inflicting some damage to it.]
[While the Grassland Pokemon remained within a combative stance, they were soon met with contact at one of their legs. Finding suspicion in the feeling, they turned in order to gaze at what the object was. A ball, odd. Why would a ball be here? The grass and fighting type had shifted upon being met with the item, no longer making physical contact.]

The Flash Cannon hit its mark, though the Darmanitan didn’t seem too fazed by the attack due to the disadvantageous type matchup. It turned around and attempted to strike Cobalion once again, this time bringing its fist down in a Hammer Arm attack.
Ignoring the “ball” would prove to be a grave mistake. With much greater speed, the head rolled forward and positioned itself right under Virizion, then promptly burst in a colorful, yet horribly damaging explosion. This was the beast’s signature move, Mind Blown, a Fire-Type move dealing incredibly high damage in exchange for recoil.

[As if timed at the very last possible second, the noble leader of four steeped to the side of their opponent, countering with a mere kick to the side of the Pokémon's body. Virizion has been simply observing as this happened, occasionally glancing to their surroundings in insecurity for the protection of their comrade. That was, until a ruthless, burning explosion happen right below their very form. Virizion was sent a little ways into the air before landing, completely unconscious from the brutal attack that had been used against them. A pained scream was emitted before the Grassland Pokémon ost consciousness, their form now laid upon the grass, singed by the overpowering attack that had been used on them.]

[Cobalion gaze soon turned upon hearing the scream, an expression of shock and horror upon their complexion as their eyes came upon Virizion's form. Now they were alone, facing an unknown enemy that had seemingly taken out their comrade without them even realising it. This was bad, really really bad. Cobalion had left themselves open for a moment as they turned, allowing a free hit if the Darmanitan was fast enough to use the opportunity.]

“Ahahaha! You fell for my trap~” Blacephalon said, finally speaking for the first time as another head simply sprouted from its neck. Its voice was an extremely stark contrast from its careful strategizing, sounding childish and singsongy with a high pitched to it. “Now, let’s all get along!”
Reaching into its bag, it pulled out two more Poké Balls. These were a forest green with a design of orange and red inverted teardrops, commonly known as Friend Balls. While not as successful as the Master Ball that had captured Keldeo with ease, they allowed the trainer to command the friendship and loyalty of those captured inside. The beast tossed them towards its unconscious targets, aiming to capture both Terrakion and Virizion while Cobalion was distracted by its opponent.
The Darmanitan, still hardly fazed, lunged toward its target, aiming to tackle the Legendary Pokémon to the ground in order to immobilize it. It also seemed to deliberately obscure Cobalion’s fallen friends from view in order to prevent it from seeing what was happening to them.

[With only the leader of the group still conscious, the likelihood of the capture being successful was exponentially high. The unconscious legendary Pokémon would inevitably provide little to no resistance from being caught here and now. Cobalion barely had the opportunity to react to the attempted tackle as their gaze returned to the sight of the fire type right before impact, their form being unbalanced almost effortlessly as they struck the ground harshly from the tackle, their stability failing to prevent them from falling. Their eyes came to close for moments as they fell, only opening following a second or so of recovery once upon the ground. Their teeth grit as their eyes directed themselves to the face of the fire type that had struck them, keeping focus only onto it as they waited for the next movement of attack. Besides, within this position, the steel and fighting type Pokémon had little options for attack. By now, hope was beginning to fade from the clutches of the Swords of Justice, as if their fate was to be captured by this extraterrestrial creature here and now.]

Blacephalon merely giggled in delight as it captured two more members of the legendary group, levitating the now-occupied Poké Balls into the bag it was carrying and placing them right next to the ball that contained Keldeo. Seeming to grow quite eager and excited at this point, it tossed another ball in Cobalion’s direction, ignoring the fact that the last remaining Sword was still conscious.
Meanwhile, the Darmanitan continued to battle Cobalion, hoping to keep him distracted for as long as possible.

[Cobalion's eyes remained fixated upon the form of the Blazing Pokémon as their form failed to struggle to a standing position. Their legs pushed against soil in hopeless attempt to push their body to a more favourable position. But alas, they did not move. Only the sensations of the ground met them as their gaze failed to detect anything beyond their foe. Even their thoughts failed to consider any other form of threat, only being interrupted upon the moment that a hard, spherical object struck them. For a split second, Cobalion's mind failed to realize what had struck them. The eyes of the leader of the Swords of Justice widened as their form was swiftly turned to a red light and pulled into the ball that had opened up. The light disappeared into the ball as the object closed, encapsulating the Pokémon within and falling to the ground.]

[The eyes of the Iron Will Pokémon opened to a sight they had seen only few times within their life. A sight that had, without fail, created a sense of fear within the noble legendary Pokémon. The memories flooded back as their mind clicked with the realisation of what was happening, giving way to one singular thought; escape.]
[Once the ball rocked.] [The leader of the Swords of Justice wasted not a moment of a second in their efforts to repel the effects of the Pokéball, their form shifting about as they used everything the had to fight back. They would never permit this thing to contain them. Never in their life would they allow it, ever.]
[Twice it rocked, to and fro.] [Cobalion's shifting turned into thrashing, their teeth gritting within the feelings of rising anger building within their soul. The sensations of the ball being thrown side to side created a sickening feeling they had loathed so much. For what felt like a mere few seconds, the hope of escape begun to shine towards their face. They were almost there, just a little bit more.]
[A third time it swayed.] [Silence. Nothing but silence as the ball fell still upon the ground. Not even as much as a light emerged for what seemed like nearly a few full seconds. Yet, within only a mere moment of the third rock, the spherical capturing implement cracked and exploded into light as the form of the steel and fighting type reformed in full just slightly in front of where the ball had been broken. Cobalion had evaded capture, their eyes slowly opening and their head raising. Now to find who had thrown that cursed thing and crush them for it.]

“Hahaha- H-huh? Uh-oh, that wasn’t supposed to happen...” the beast said, stepping back slightly, and for the first time, there was worry in its voice. It hastily reached into the bag it was carrying, pulling out yet another Poké Ball and holding it out with the intent to throw it. This time, however, the element of surprise was gone.
The Darmanitan seemed somewhat caught off guard by the Legendary Pokémon’s escape as well, its eyes widening in surprise. Its priority hadn’t changed, however, and it once again charged towards Cobalion with a flaming fist. Luckily for the Sword, this momentary hesitation would provide the chance to make an attempt at escaping.
