Shanti watched the snake, she didn't flinch as he slithered up her legs, she wasn't suspicious of them not one bit, she noticed the snake looking down, she glanced down too but couldn't see anything, she didn't have night vision but she could see well enough that there wasn't anything down there, when she looked back she noticed the snake's eyes were a little odd but the snake explained it as night vision which...She didn't know snakes had night vision...But she wasn't well taught on snakes much "oh, okay" she whispered.
Despite the fact that the spirals weren't really noticeable the hypotic effect still was, though it would take more time but Shanti wasn't looking away from Kaa, and so long as he kept her focus he may be able to entrance her.

This... Was the delicate part. He dare not wrap her up, at least not yet, he dare not fully activate his hypnosis... That dratted tiger at the end of the branch made EVERYTHING so much more difficult. But Kaa smiled - after all, he did like a challenge. "Have you come across any monkeys in the jungle?" He asked, as if making conversation - but holding her focus, keeping her obligated to make polite eye contact, that was the aim, at least for now. "I've met Louie, their King. He rarely leaves his castle, so I'd be surprised if you've heard of him."

Shanti kept eye contact with Kaa without much thought "oh, no but I know about Louie. The tigers warned me because he is obsessed with learning human things...Not that I really know anything myself" she replied.

"Well, I've heard it said that his castle is actually the ruins of some great big structure built long ago... By man. Massive stones, I can't begin to imagine how they were moved - and that was your species that did that. You humans are really very interesting, you know." Kaa went on, beginning to trail off from topic to topic, aiming for a lulling, sleepy conversational tone, working tiredness into his voice to start to induce an unconscious, mirroring response from Shanti. If it didn't affect her, that helped him estimate her resistance, too. "I'd ask you more about it, but I know you grew up with the tigers... But I suppose you'd prefer to stay in the jungle, even on your own?"

Shanti's tone became quieter, sounding a little more tired "I would...I don't know the first thing about humans, I'm more comfortable here in the jungle...Being alone will be new though..." She let out a small yawn "oh sorry...I think the journey is finally catching up on me" she replied, she still didn't break eye contact except for when she yawned but everything seemed to be moving well for Kaa.

"Haven't you heard that yawnssss are infectiousssss?" Kaa hissed, leaning in closer and letting out as large a yawn as he could, smacking his lips. His face now nearer to hers, he made his eyelids flutter as if they were feeling heavy with sleep. With the eyelids hopefully distracting her from what his pupils were doing, he allowed his spirals to expand and start flowing again, though they remained dim.

Shanti giggled slightly at Kaa's words before repeating his yawn with her own "s-sorry..." She replied, when she opened her eyes again she noticed the spirals but didn't question it as she merely thought it was just sleepiness getting to her but her gaze was fully on his, her pupils even starting to slowly shrink.

Kaa chuckled, Shanti had apologised for both her yawns - it was good when prey felt apologetic. "Sssssso ssssleepy..." Kaa hissed, his tongue flickering across her face as he moved nearer. He lowered his eyelids till he could just barely make out the fuzzy outline of Shanti's face, hoping to subconsciously coax the woman into doing the same, and slowed his breathing. He audibly inhaled and exhaled to create a rhythm of slow, gentle breaths... And then, he seized the moment! Eyes fully open, spirals picking up in such speed that Shanti would struggle to distinguish one colour from another as they all blended in confusing harmony, and the glowing light of his eyes now shining fully, illuminating her face. He moved his nose forward to touch hers, filling her vision, a smug smirk on his face. "You're dreeeeaming, Ssssshanti. Just a dreeeeam. Just a dreaam.." Kaa repeated the phrase over and over, getting quieter each time until it was a barely audible whisper in the background - he didn't expect her to give in right away, but as she tried to speak, she'd keep hearing that little mantra tickling the edge of her hearing, endlessly repeating to a catchy rhythm until her own mind helplessly started to repeat it. A sort of earworm chant.

Shanti's eyelids seemed to follow Kaa's own as they lowered, even her breathing started to follow along with Kaa. When Kaa's eyes opened fully with the spirals spinning her eyes widened and she let out a small gasp, he was so close the spirals were all Shanti could see.
Her pupils shrunk fully and started to reflect the spirals back slowly, Shanti was confused and lost...These spiralling colours didn't make sense...But then Kaa mentioned how she was dreaming and suddenly everything made sense "just dreaming..." She repeated quietly, the spirals in her eyes picking up speed a little.

"Dreamy Sssshanti, ssssleepy Sssshanti... Let'sss get you more comfortable, hmmm?" Kaa cackled, threading his coils under her arms and gently lifting her into the air, dropping her into a cocoon of wrapped coils. "Ssssso confussssed, sssso aimlesss - maybe it'ssss time to dream of giving in to the sssspiralsss, hmm? Letting them in the door, letting them run around inssside your head, wavessss that are easssier to flow with than ssstruggle againssst..." Kaa described confusing, conflicting imagery - since she thought she was dreaming, it was a cakewalk to make her daydream. He turned her upside down in the coils to confuse her further.

Shanti felt so tired, which was odd to her because wasn't she dreaming?
She barely felt something lifting her up, causing her to let out a groan before she was dropped which didn't help the process of sleepiness but did trap her in a cocoon of smooth coils, still everything felt so odd, it all felt real but...Surely it can't be.
The spirals in Shanti's eyes would slow down at some points before speeding up at others as it seemed she was maybe trying to fight it but more likely because she was so confused, then the world went upside down causing her hair to dangle downward but did help distract her brain from reality, Shanti's eyes would droop as she was growing tired again...But she was asleep right? Maybe she should ask the snake...But she didn't know his name...She did know one name and she trusted her in figuring this all out.
Shanti's voice was very quiet as she tried to call out "Mmm...S-Sha-"

Kaa laughed, misinterpreting Shanti's attempt to say Shara's name. "Yessss, your name issss Sssshanti, sssilly girl!" Kaa said patronisingly, nodding with exaggerated emphasis. But both Shanti calling out for her and Kaa forgetting himself in his favourite sport, Shara began to stir. "Yeeeeesss, thisss dream makesss you very sssssssstupid, happy and ssssssstupid..." Kaa continued hissing, and Shara's eyes flicked open at last to gape in terror at the feared serpent himself, obsessively delighting in all the ways he could melt Shanti's brain. She growled and leapt into action, swiping at Kaa with a lunge! Kaa spotted her just in time, and dodged, but the motion shook Shanti, not enough to wake her yet, but enough to weaken the trance. Kaa laughed at the tiger's interruption, and as he ducked and weaved through her strikes, he gingerly placed Shanti back down on the branch, allowing him to move more freely. With an aggressive hiss, his coils began to come into play, deflecting some blows, trying to wrap around Shara's paws on others, all whilst leaving his tail danging from the branch just next to Shanti...

Shanti heard Kaa laugh and she smiled slightly, she was so silly...Forgetting her name like that. She giggled slightly herself forgetting that she was originally calling out for Shara, she was probably very close to falling under a trance until Shara got involved, she groaned a little as the motion disturbed her the spirals in her eyes slowing down.
Shanti was then placed down on the branch and without Kaa's hypnotic eyes to keep her from snapping out of it, the spirals faded from her eyes and she gave her head a shake, she noticed the snake fighting Shara and gasped slightly, quickly she stood up and tugged harshly at his tail.

Whilst Shanti was waking up on the other end of the branch, Kaa was totally preoccupied with Shara. He laughed derisively as he easily outwitted her, and she growled and grew angrier. She predicted where his head would go, then struck forward with all her might, and... The paw stopped inches short of Kaa's face. Shara's mouth hung open, her eyes filled with spirals... She hadn't even processed what was happening until it was too late, and a broad smile spread across her face. "You want to be a good tiger, not hit your masssster - that'ssss it, be a good pet..." Kaa coaxed her, and in a few seconds a *PING!* rang through her mind. For whatever reason, she seemed much more susceptible than Shanti. "Now, let'sss take a little walk..." Kaa hissed in her ear, and brought his head around with Shara helplessly following his gaze so that she was facing the tapering end of the branch, hanging precariously above the jungle floor below. Kaa bobbed slowly backwards, guiding Shara forward in a march to her doom, the branch bending under the tiger's weight. At last there was no more branch, and her paw raised stiffly, ready to step right off into the air...
When Kaa spotted Shanti, fully awake, about to pull his tail. "STOOOOOP!" He shrieked urgently, and, hearing but misunderstanding, Shara obediently stopped mid-step, stood on the bending edge of the branch right above a sheer drop. But Kaa had no time to notice this, as the sharp tug barrelled him forwards into the branch, knocking his head. With an 'ughf', he was out for the count, and fell into a heap on the ground below. Unlike Shara though, Kaa's soft snake body protected him, and he survived just fine, though for the moment he was dizzy, unsure where he was.

Shanti quickly hurried over to Shara, shaking the tiger slightly "S-Shara! Snap out of it please" she said, she couldn't believe how quickly Shara fell, Shanti also felt stupid for trusting him.
