Greetings dear reader ^^
I'll be posting some of my original character here
=================================================================================================================
Name: Triana
Height: 1.7 meters (5.57 ft)
Gender: Female
Species: Paper woman
Abilities:
Born from paper.
Triana can create or replace any body part using paper; she can control up to three bodies that share her consciousness, perception, and abilities, even though said bodies cannot exist for extended periods. She can manipulate the ink on her body, changing colour and shape to create patterns and illustrations as she sees fit; this ability is linked to her memory, considering sometimes her thoughts and memories leak using this mechanism.
Mistress of origami.
Triana can create small creatures like mice and doves using paper; said constructs can stray much further from her main body, and even though their abilities are limited, and they appear to think independently, she can see through their eyes and talk through them. Triana can shape and bend paper to create all sorts of objects; even though she can’t recreate the functionality of complex gadgets or electronics, she can recreate some small mechanisms with paper. Among her favourite things include a parasol, pinwheels, flowers and hats.
Intangible presence.
Triana can separate her paper body and her presence for a few minutes. When free from her body, she changes into a spectral form; her voice becomes ethereal, and her consciousness floats until she returns to her body or builds a new one.
Appearance:
As a paper woman, Triana's body and clothes are made of book pages. Paper stretches and covers the silhouette of her spectral form, giving her body shape. Even though she can alter her body proportions, she usually appears slim with well-defined curves, giving her an hourglass shape. She has well-toned legs and slender arms that match her small, elegant hands.
Even though she can change her outfit at will, she's fond of dresses down to her knees, tight near her waist and loose on the upper part and down her legs. Her hair is usually wavy, dark and loose down her shoulders, with a puffy fringe and bangs covering her forehead and the sides of her face. On her cheeks, ink forms some freckles. Although she doesn't need them, braided paper forms a pair of black framed lensless glasses.
Backstory:
Triana was born from the dutiful will of an ancient librarian. Hoping to grow and keep her country's most extensive collection of books, the librarian committed her life to an old stone building in the desert. Isolated from the world, the fate of the librarian is still unknown. After years of wind and sand, in the library's quiet hallways, torn book pages gathered in a far corner, resembling the shape of a sleeping woman.
=================================================================================================================
Name: Clair O'Ceallaigh
Height: 1.77 meters (5.8 ft)
Gender: Female
Species: Human (Witch)
Abilities:
Charm of the Witch of Mischief:
“They say chocolate gives you a small glimpse of what infatuation feels like. If just a glimpse is not enough…”
Being a witch, Clair possesses an aura that elicits thoughts of innocence and sweetness. Intended as a way to mislead others into accepting her mischievous approach, the aura follows Clair’s focus, rendering her able to direct it towards specific people. The aura’s effect varies depending on the other person’s intelligence, willpower and feelings towards Clair. Additionally to the aura, being a witch, Clair holds the knowledge to perform simple spells and illusions, which happen to work much better on people under her aura’s effect.
Sweet like a lollipop:
“Have you ever tasted a candy and felt like going back in time to the exact moment when you first tasted it?...”
Clair specialty is a kind of magic able to crystallize people’s emotions, thoughts and memories into candies. She’s able to slowly drain whatever emotion, thought or memory the target might be experiencing and produce a sweet caramel-like substance out of it. Being imbued with said energy, eating the caramel elicits the same exact energy in the recipient. Emotions crystallized this way, when eaten, have a stronger effect if the person eating them is the same person from where the emotion or memory was drained, otherwise its effect it’s lessened.
Endless sugar rush:
“Just one bite and you won’t be able to stop…”
Clair keeps the candies she had collected from others in a small pouch that works as a bottomless container. She can store as many candies as she desires there and retrieve them whenever it suits her needs but the pouch will only store candies created by her magic.
Backstory:
“Life is boring without a touch of magic… Either you possess or seek it; things are much sweeter if you observe as routine turns towards the unexpected.”
Some people just seem to be unable to find satisfaction in simple things… Even though blessed with beauty, intelligence, a good family and a rather cosy life. Despite being unable to think of herself as ‘unlucky’, Clair always seemed haunted by those pesky ‘what if’ thoughts, always haunted by the burden of a stiff, routinary life. Being the daughter of a wealthy family meant she had it all figured out; as long as she followed the path drawn for her, she might have been able to enjoy a life full of comfort that, if not for that day… Perhaps if Clair hadn’t met her, her life would have been uneventful… Maybe if she hadn’t followed her deeper into the night, things wouldn’t have turned out how they did…
The choice was hers, and while assaulted by doubts and disbelief, something inside her knew it~ All it took was a bite for her life to sweeten up. Just a taste and the magic in her was awoken, a remnant of her lineage that, after a slight push, opened every single door in the world for her. Or at least, that’s what she thought….
Her presence in town was cut short after being accused of witchcraft. A small reminder of how people there treated whoever dared to be different if they were to find out about her… Well, that was a somewhat bitter thought. Fortunately for Clair, she had always managed to find a way. All she had to do was find a way to keep her secret from others. Perhaps a mask and a night out a week would provide the unexpected she had been looking for… Maybe fate had a different plan for her…
