Oh yes, this was going well. So well, beyond well, the well-est hypnosis that had ever been done! No other snake would ever believe that he, Wes, had actually managed to hypnotize Bheka and lived to talk about it -- but then again... if he didn't tell anyone about it, he could keep her all to himself. He chortled under his breath as he imagined how warm he would be with such a large, powerful mammal to wrap around. Maybe he could teach her to come back, night after night, to let him hypnotize and coil her through the cold season. Oh yes, what a glorious--
"Gyack!" Hand. That was a hand, squeezing him just behind his head, how had Bheka shaken herself free? It was going so well! And still was, he realized abruptly, seeing her staring adoringly back at him. She had just, somehow, found the strength and will to move, to grab him. He eyed her suspiciously for any sign of alertness in her eyes, but as far as he could tell, she was still falling, still spellbound.
"Oh good," he muttered, relaxing. "You scared me. Er, I mean -- ah, Bheka, tight, that's too tight, don't squeeze me!" His muscles tensed in preparation to pull himself away from the human until she was well and truly hypnotized... and that was the final straw for the poor, badgered boar in the tree. Snapping out of her trance, she squealed in terror to find herself surrounded by snake and a good seven feet off the ground. She thrashed herself out of the secure branch Wes had wedged her into and he yelped, eyes reverting to normal as she crashed down through the branches and took the bulk of his body with her. She hit the ground a few feet in front of Bheka, her fall slowed by the uncoiling ropes of the reptile who'd caught her, and shook her head, dazed. Wes, meanwhile, found himself stretched and pinned between the boar and Bheka's grip on his neck. His spine creaked uncomfortably. "A little -- help?" He tried, breathless, the lower half of his body waggling wildly as he tried to free himself from the boar and get back into the tree before she decided to gouge him. He had almost nothing still wrapped around the tree, however, and lacked the proper leverage to pull himself back up.
