This was all too easy, Serin thought. But the girl seemed to trust him fully, and eager to find a way to rest after her exhausting day, so it might be the time to reveal his most peculiar ability.
"Actually, it's rather a hidden talent of mine" the absurdly large python explained. "If you watch me in the eyes long enough, I have the ability to help you relax, and even put you to sleep if you'd want me to help you with that". One might wonder why a predator such as Serin would have such an ability, and what he would use it for in the wild, but the young snake hoped she'd be intrigued enough in her tired state to give it a shot. Otherwise, he might have stupidly revealed his best trick, making his task all the more difficult...

What Serin revealed to Emiko wasn't at all what she was expecting to hear... The trick to helping someone fall asleep wasn't from something out of the jungle. It was in his eyes, somehow? That didn't make a lot of sense, and Emiko was more than a little skeptical to believe him. What could watching a snake's eyes possibly do to help her get to sleep? It sounded absurd...
Rather than say anything right away, Emiko took a glance or two at the python's eyes and just...stared at them quietly. As she did, for the brief time that she saw their normal form, she felt nothing... She didn't know how this worked, but...it sounded like a farce. And after giving the serpent a silent stare for a couple of moments, she offered a slight rebuttal to show her skepticism...
"...Right, look into your eyes to relax and sleep? I find it intriguing that you can talk and all, but...I don't see anything there..." She'd comment, taking a moment to adjust herself against the tree once more. "...Look, I'm really tired and...don't feel like playing games tonight... I...appreciate the concern you've shown, but I'm not a creature of the night. I'd rather get some sleep than play right now..."
...It wasn't an outright dismissal of Serin, but it was obvious that Emiko didn't believe him about his eyes. It seemed like the stress of the day was beginning to take it's toll on her. Normally rather composed, that was slowly starting to fade away as the tiredness crept in on her. It was hard to say how long it would be til things really went south. But...they were starting to trend that way at least a little.
