It sounded like she regretted what she did, and Kaa’s presence in the final shot was symbolic. Obviously.
But it is a good cautionary tale.

For those saying Sanaya should have became a slave...what do you think Kaa's final words saying "You are now fully mine" means, exactly? ^^;
It's up to you to interpret where things go from here, and that's kind of the point. Does Sanaya realize the errors of her ways and break away having committed something so dark that she's never the same just like Bagheera hinted about in his own past? Does she return to Kaa's lair as a slave for the rest of time giving up everything she knew for coils and hypnosis? That's up to you to decide.
The ending, as dark as it is, was deliberate. Actions have consequences and...that's what the film was all about. Might be a tad dark admittedly, but...where would you expect the path of vengeance to ultimately take you? Especially if you're willing to sacrifice anything along the way to get to that end? Bagheera tried to warn her, and she had her chance then and there to walk away. She knew what she was getting into hence why she apologized to her father at his grave sight showing she was unwilling to give up her vengeance. A tragic desire led to a tragic end. In saying that...it was left a bit open purposely for a variety of reasons. For now, you'll just have to let your imagination fill in the gaps as to what happened after. ^^; That's about all i can really say in the end.

For those saying Sanaya should have became a slave...what do you think Kaa's final words saying "You are now fully mine" means, exactly? ^^; Well, she at least has some conscience left in her as she is horrified of what she had done. I'm not really a fan of Kaa hypnosis subjects/victims becoming self-aware and such stuff.

I do have an opinion on what she should do next, but I don't know if it would be appropriate for me to share said opinion.

I do want to stress that I'm in no way trying to stifle anyone's creativity or curiosities. You're welcome to think up your own endings or put a spin on this however you'd like. I'm just throwing out what was the idea behind the scripted ending. I'll admit it's a bit dark. For where it was heading though, it was the only logical conclusion. Sanaya probably should have done what her mother suggested at the beginning and let things go. Her inability to is what led to this tragic outcome.
I do at least hope the film delivered what Kaa fans wanted to see most which was the encounters re-imagined and elongated. I did my absolute best to write those that way, and KaaVFX did his best to deliver it to you. Heaven only knows if we'll get anything like this again so...don't get too fixated on the ending which is still more or less open ended?

Then for now I'll just point out there IS a satisfying ending to the saga, one I thought up in the car while on my way home from work.

This whole thing started with Sanaya going to Kaa, right? Well, she ends it by breaking it off with Kaa, and tries to make amends with the other animals, and maybe becomes the jungle's protector. Or she goes back to human civilization.

I feel like just breaking it off with Kaa and then mending things with the other animals would work.

Did she really burn the whole thing down? Didn’t look that way on closer inspection

Yeah, she did.
And I don't like escape or rebel & break off endings too. Though I don't really want to start a flame war here because of that.
Let's just accept this film as it is and move on.
