Jihka was a fairly ordinary villager in the great jungle, though she had gorgeous brown locks and deep brown eyes that made her a favorite of the village matchmaker. It was early morning, and she was meant to be taking the oxen with the load of pots into the market square, but as was usual for the girl she'd run off into the jungle. The village was right on the foot of a mountain, covered in green, thick foliage save for the snowy peak - she sat in her favorite lazing spot on the edge of a small inland cliff, looking right up at it, with her head rested back against a pile of leaves she'd laid back against a short, squat old tree that was perfect for easily climbing, sitting in, and even sleeping in for when her parents got especially angry with her. She sighed contentedly - she dreamed of one day running away and leaving all the nagging and tasks behind.

Another girl was resting comfortably in a nearby tree away from the human villages. This was Solara the Local Jungle. Solara had jet black hair, brown eyes, and light tanned skin. Solara wore a a bright red two piece loin cloth on her toned body. Solara opened her eyes to see the other girl and became curious of what a village girl would be doing this far in the jungle. Solara jumped down from the tree and approached the new girl.

As Solara observed Jihka, she'd see that she wore a simple white tunic and loincloth, thick sandals - tall to keep the mud off her feet, with a wide-brimmed straw hat to keep the sun off her face lying on the ground beside her as she enjoyed the natural shade the tree offered. She was tan like Solara, but a few shades darker, since even though she slacked off a lot she still had to work in the scorching sun. She jumped with a start as she saw something approaching out of the corner of her eye, but relaxed as she saw it was just another person. "Hey there, stranger!" She greeted her.

"This is my spot! My village isn't far off, it's just over that way a bit - there's a part where the fence is rotten, so I burrow through there to avoid doing any of that annoying work." She complained, then realized who she was talking to - a jungle girl! "Say, you don't live in a village, right? You don't have to do what anyone says? I wish I could be like you..." She pouted in disappointment as she said this, kicking off her sandals over her head, letting them land in the tree behind her.

"It's not always a easy life out here you to be ready for predators. You also have to know your friends and who to trust." Solara said going from her experiences with Kaa, and The Great Queen Orangutan Oba famous for her punishment to human females mainly spanking and foot torture.

"Hmmm... Sounds like it beats having parents force you to do chores constantly." She put her hand to her chin in thought, her feet absent-mindedly toying with one another. "Ugh, I don't feel like going back... Maybe I could hang out with you and see how to survive on my own, out in the exciting wild?" She suggested. Looking at how Solara looked, she pulled off her tunic to leave her in just the loincloth and strip of long cloth fastened around her chest.

"I have a few friends I live with not to far from here and even if theres chores to do we still have fun all day I think they will be happy to meet you and let join our group I'll just have to ask Iris about that. Iris is a really friend Lamia that took me in after an attack that injured me pretty bad by that ugly brute Orangutan Queen Oba. There are still a few enemies around so we need to stay moving if want to come with me.

Jihka listened carefully to Solara's description of the dangers that would haunt them - and the continuing presence of chores, though she expected them to be far less than back in the village - and once she'd learned enough to survive on her own out here, she could just run off and never do any chores at all, right? She thought carefully. Well, carefully as she could, she was still angry at her parents, and that made it hard to think straight about whether she really wanted to leave the safer life of the village behind. "I'm in." She said at last, smiling at Solara and feeling giddy inside at the excitement of finally getting to run away and leave all her responsibilities behind her.

"Great follow me my friend lives in a big tree house not to far from here. Oh Just a warning she's a cuddler and a kisser." Solara said taking Jihka by the hand and walked with her to a giant tree. "Hey Lola its me Solara and have a guest." Solara said shouting into the tree. Soon enough a yellow and white spotted snake tail came down and coiled gently around both girls waists and be can to lileft them into the tree.

"A cuddler - and a kisser?" Jihka asked in disbelief, almost to herself. Already there was some regret about tagging along with this strange jungle girl, but she resigned herself to it and followed Solara through the clearing, into the dim rainforest corridors lined by small beams of sunlight filtering down through the canopy. At last they came to the large tree - gigantic to Jihka, she'd never been this deep into the wilderness so she was alarmed at the size - the trees surrounding it were at a distance and much smaller, and less healthy looking - it was clear this giant tree's roots were hogging all the nutrients. Jihka, panting from the fast paced walk as she tried to keep up with the nimble-footed Solara, yelped in surprise as odd-looking snake coils descended, wrapping around her waist. She struggled for a moment, before seeing Solara simply let the coils lift her - "Oh! Is this your friend Lola?" She asked in realization, tapping the coil to indicate who she meant.

"Yep." solara said as she and Jihka were lifted into the trees. "Well now my sweetie has brought a friend home pleasure to meet you sugah." Said Lola in a sweet Southern Bell Accent. "Hi Lola, yes she's a village girl who i found not far from here." Solara said. Lola placed both girls on a seat of coils. "Well what's your name sugah?" Lola asked.

"Oh, um, I'm Jihka, pleasure to meet you." She greeted the snake courteously, bowing from her seat of coils. She wasn't sure what 'sugar' was - that sort of refined good rarely made it's way to isolated villages like the one she was from. She shuffled back into the coils, leaning back against them - it was a welcome, cool touch, especially on a hot day like this. She sighed happily, a slight tingle traveling up her spine every time Lola shifted her coils. It felt amazing against her back, so Jihka was glad to have taken her shirt off earlier. She doubted she'd need it or the sandals, or the hat anymore, now that she'd begun her new life as a jungle girl!

"Tell me why are so desperate to live in the Jungle like Solara here considering the dangers that presents?" Lola asked as Solara watched to two converse with in the comfort of Lola's coils that slowly and secretly incasing her. The coils now held Solara up to her shoulders and had her arms pinned comfortably. "That's a good question all she said when I met was she was tired of chores." Solara said.

"Not just chores, but working on the fields all day, feeding animals, taking care of the younger ones and grandparents, having to go to matchmaking sessions with people from other villages to try and secure defensive pacts or trade deals - ugh! It's unbearable, and I run away to relax in the jungle whenever I can!" She explained pointedly, raising her voice - though still friendly, it seemed Jihka angered easily.
"And besides, even if there are dangers here, at least the downsides of the jungle make it more exciting." She added, calming a bit as she subconsciously reacted to the cooling influence of the stealthily encroaching coils.
