Meach puts the stroking on pause and with her voice begins her song. The sound trickled through his ear and to his brain as it began to hear a new message without the words being spoken at all. The siren was telling him she was in need of sustenance. That she wanted him to find her some food and help her regain her strength.
Sirens live in the deeper sections of the ocean, where coral reefs and most sea life live. But after being so long in a hole, her swimming and food supply was small. She would need to remain close to the shallows until her strength was back. A weak fish cannot survive open water. A natural law of life in the sea.
