Deep in the jungles on the island of Pomaika'i, there was a snake said to be as old as the jungle and he was feared by many. The humans thought he was a legend but Raago was just a large snake with hypnotic powers. It was a known fact that Pomaika'i hypno-pythons physically can't eat humans or they'd violently gag, which wasn't a problem for Raago. He knew taking a human's life would lead to trouble for the rest of the jungle dwellers. Raago was large, long, tawny-colored scales with burgundy diamonds in a pattern on his back and large yellow eyes. He has seen many things in and sometimes out of the jungle, but it was the man-cub who lived amongst the jungle animals that made Raago the most curious.
Currently, Raago was in his tree which grew in the jungle lagoon and sunbathing. It was quite nice today, keeping him warm and relaxed while he dozed, dreaming about having this girl cub under his hypnotic spell and in his coils.

Kimi Fujioka had long outgrown the term "Girl-cub", but she was still 18 years old, but she had only been living on the island for two years. That must be why Raago--or "Raako" in the Pomaka'ian language--kept calling her that.
Now, to be clear, the Japanese-Australian jungle girl wasn't thinking about Raako, but just living life on Island Time. The jungle surrounded her as she strolled along an ancient trail. Her perpetually-bare feet effortlessly glided over the ground. Where was she going? Wherever her legs took her, as was the philosophy of Jungle Life, to go with the flow. Pretty soon though, she would eventually end up running into Raako.

Raago was dreaming when he suddenly woke up and decided to to take a cooling dip in the lagoon under him. That was until he spotted movement in the brushes. Raago hid back in the tree and looked to see what it was. To the snake's surprise, it was the girlcub he was just thinking about. What perfect timing! He watched and waited to see whether or not Kimi was going to swim or climb his tree.

Despite the heat, when she saw the lagoon, Kimi decided against taking a swim. Her decision unknowingly made it easier for Raago. Nevertheless, she sat down at the base of the tree, took out a water bottle and drank from it. Living in the jungle had served her body well. She was lean and athletic, but occasional scars pocked her skin, which had tanned a bit more from sun exposure. Of course, she didn't need clothes, but did wear a "standard issue" jungle girl outfit of a loincloth and top.

Raago saw his chance when he saw Kimi sit by his tree and take a drink. He was a little confused when he saw the water bottle, not knowing what it was, but then he had an idea. He took a big leaf, filled it with water, and just when Kimi stopped drinking, Raago dumped the water onto the girl's head. He quickly slips his tail out of sight before the girl got up.

Something wet hit the top of Kimi’s head and she yelped. Standing up, she looked around for whatever it was that dumped water on her head (her hair was wet and she could see what it was). She growled. “What was that?” she muttered to herself.

Raago stayed still and waited patiently to see if Kimi would climb up the tree to investigate.

After looking around for a couple seconds, Kimi sighed, disappointed that she didn't find what it was. It must have been some water falling from above, so she sat back down, sitting against the trunk.

Raago grew a little impatient and lowered his tail down the tree trunk. The snake coils Kimi's lap and pulls her gently up. When the girl is in view, Raago greets her in a friendly way.
"Hello girl cub,"

Initially drifting off into a nap, Kimi was surprised to find herself being lifted into the tree by a fairly gentle tentacle, until she came face-to-face with a hypno-snake she immediately recognized. “Crikey! Raako, it’s you!”

"Yesss, so good to see you again," Raago said. "How long has it been?"

"I dunno, I lost track," Kimi answered, fidgeting in his coils. Despite looking uncomfortable and reluctant to be in his presence, she actually wasn't, as evidenced by her casual tone of voice.

"Oh well, you're here now," Raago said as he looked her over and then uncoiled Kimi. After she lands on the branch the snake raises Kimi's chin up with his tail tip. "And how have you been Kimi?" Raago asked.

"I'm doing alright," she answered, curious as to why he was examining her in this way. So she removed the tip of his tail from her chin, to nonverbally tell him that gesture made her uncomfortable. "And you?"

"Mmm, can't complain," Raago answered. When Kimi removed his tail, he got the message. "Forgive me, it's been a while. And I just wanted to look at you." He let spirals of blue, green, and yellow spirals flow through his eyes. He wanted to see if she would resist or not.
