A part of Emma was afraid but her child instincts were overcoming that as she sat still. She rubbed her eyes thinking the tears were messing with what she saw. ”A talking flower?”

Celine chuckled lightly.
"Not exactly my dear," Celine said. "I am what's know as an alraune; part human, part plant, and proud of it. I can tell that you are lost in the jungle," She used a vine to presented an uneaten apple to Emma. "But what I can't tell is... how and why?"

"Alroo?" She looks at the apple but again wasn't sure if she should take it, or even answer the plant-person. She still didn't know it and her parents always warned her of strangers even if they seem nice. Or at least they did. Just thinking about it brought some fresh tears. She wiped at them smearing the dirt on her cheek into mud.

"Alraune," Celine said.
She was a little disappointed that Emma wouldn't take the apple, but that was quickly pushed aside when Celine saw the girl in tears. The apple was placed down and the vine gently brushed the mud from Emma's cheek.
"Now now, that's not where mud goes dear," Celine said in a tone that was both authoritative and nurturing.

Emma was amazed by the moving vine but was still sad for she missed her parents, and what's worse their not there anymore. So no matter how much she missed them she'll never see them again. "I'm all alone. I wish I could go home but I can't. It's gone."

"Why is it gone?" Celine asked. "Tell me what troubles you so I can help you."
She had the vine gently caress Emma's cheek while the one behind her came closer and lightly drape over the girl's shoulders.
"Please, Emma."

“My mommy and dad are dead and now I have no one. They wanted to take me away. But I ran cause I didn’t want to go.”

Celine nodded, she understood most of what the girl said and then she had an idea.
"Emma, it's not safe for you to be in the jungle by yourself and night time approaches quickly. So, why don't you stay with me for a while?"

“I don’t know, can I really. No is it safe?”

Celine had the large vine move off Emma's shoulders and had it hover in front of the girl like an extended hand.
"Please trust me, Emma, you'll be safe with me."

The little girl gives in and takes hold of the vine. It felt rough but smooth at the same time. “Ok,” she said.

The vine wraps around the girl's hands and helps lift her up. The vine lets go, wraps around Emma's waist and brings the girl closer to Celine.
The alraune reaches out to the girl's cheek and strokes it. "Don't be afraid."

"Good," Celine said.
Celine quickly brushed away any remaining tears and mud on Emma's face while a vine removed the girl's flimsy sandals. Emma was then set down sitting on the edge of the nectar pool with her toes dipped in. It wasn't cold or hot but somewhere in between.

Emma lifts her foot out of the strange liquid. "What, is this?" She wasn't afraid of the pool, it just was strange looking. But it caught her attention she didn't notice yet that was being held in a giant flower.
