The jungles...they were a fearsome place. Survival of the fittest was the law of the land. Those who were unable to withstand the harshness were doomed to be consumed by something more powerful. But for those who could withstand the hardships, they would find themselves ruling above and beyond.
Strength wasn't limited to just the body however. Those strong of mind; those who could manipulate the mind in ways they so chose, could meld their destinies on their own.
Such was the case when animals murmured about a new arrival to the jungle. A young man named Seth had wandered his way in. He was not a native of the man-village, however. No, he came from afar. From wreckage, the young man had learned to survive on his own and live off of what he could. He hunted using tools he could handle. Nothing like orange lights or such though.
He did not actively seek certain pray, but he would defend himself against others. The eighteen-year old was on the cusp of becoming a man. His toned body, grown due to hardship, was partially exposed by the rags he maintained from the accident that brought him there. On the whole though, he felt...alone. Survival was all he could think of. But survival was what he intended on doing.

In the jungle lived a creature of cunning and strength. Kaamila the lamia. She had long black hair, amber eyes, a dark blue serpent tail, and a blue cloth covering her chest. She was well known in the jungle, some see as like the princess of the jungle. If she wants to do something she will and hardly anyone can prevent her from doing it. But she was senciable. Today it was a warm humid and she wanted to go for a swim in the river.

Seth found himself approaching the river. His green eyes complimented his messy blonde hair. His intention had been to get fresh water from the river. His reserves had been running low and he needed a fresh batch. He was...however, unaware of anyone else.
"Hm...a quart should suffice..." Seth muttered to himself.

Kaamila for the moment was not aware of an intruder in her jungle, she was more interested in the cooling water. Her tail was competently submerged and it's color blended nicely.

A small splash happened as Seth nearly dropped his waterskin. Fortunately, he was quick to pick it up. But he hadn't been silent about it.
"That...was too close," He muttered to himself.

Kaamila turns around slightly startled. She then sees the human at the edge of the water. She lowers her body in the water like she was hiding, but she wasn't afraid only trying to looks so. She was the jungle's princess, she can handle a mere human. "Who are you?" she spoke in a low voice, giving her weak scared voice.

Seth gave a surprising glare. It wasn't born of malice, but rather suspicion. Another human? Out here? He had his doubts...but he wasn't sure what else she could be.
"The same as you. Just someone trying to take advantage of a nearby water source," He said flatly. His eyes were rather stern and almost cold. "I'm not here to hurt you though. In fact, I was unaware you were here. I'll leave you be if you need me to though."

She slowly raises her self, letting only her human side be seen. "No I don't need you to leave. What are you doing here? You don't look like one from the village that is a distance away from here."

Seth gave her a side-eyed glance. Her human half was appealing, certainly, but Seth's mind was focused only on survival.
"There's a village near here? Hm...I wasn't aware. Still, I am not here by choice. I found myself...stranded here, for lack of a better term. I've been surviving on my own since then. I lost count though. It may have been weeks...who knows?"

"So you are lost, lucky for you I know this jungle like the back of my hand. I could help."

"I appreciate the offer, but I have survived on my own just fine so far," Seth insisted. "I'll make do. Right now, I have no reason to trust any one. The jungle is a place where only the strong and able can survive. And I intend to do so."
As coarse as he was, Seth meant no offense. He was just insistent on living.
"I have the water I need now. I'd best be on my way."
At that, Seth started to walk away. He wasn't ready for if anyone...would follow him

When he wasn’t lookin, Kaamila climbed out of the water onto dry land. She gave her body a quick shake and heads for a tree. She easily reached the higher branches, quicker than a squirrel. With a bird’s eye view she kept watch over the man. For the moment she just wanted to watch. Could he really find his way, or will he run into trouble?

There was no trouble to be had, the young man had gathered the meat and various other food he had gotten, either through slaying or scavenging. Of note was a tiger skin he used for warmth at certain times...he was not one to have been trifled with.
The young man wept the sweat from his brow and leaned against his lone dwelling. He rested against the rough bark of a tree, wincing as he did so...if only there existed something...softer...
"Quite a bit done today...hm..."

"Hmm this man is quiet the animal," Kaamila said to herself, never having lost sight of Seth for even a moment. "This may be an interesting time. Let's see if this animal can be tamed."

Yet like any animal, there existed a weakness. Physical strength and a quick wit were things he appeared to have in full. But his mental state seemed to be another issue...
"I am a survivor," Seth muttered as he leaned back. "But there is more to survival than just living...I'll need to find a purpose...later though."
