"Sure we can do that." Shenon Once again holds his waist as she guided him up the stairs back into the room he first woke up in. She then gets him seated on the bed. "Wait here I'll be right back." She turns and leaves the room. She had to go all the way to her personal room to get it. Her room was fit for a queen with a nice wardrobe and armor mirror. She looks at the gray strand again for a moment but then leaves not giving more thought. "Here we are." Shenon holds up an unusual flute. "Since I live alone I've learned a few things to entertain myself but also for any guest I rescue.

Sam's eyes lit up at the sight of the flute. So she liked to play music. It made sense, having a hoby.
"Oh, cool." he said, hearing her explanation. "How many songs do you know?"

"A few. I know one that sounds playful, I also learned a lullaby to play. Some of the guest I help have taught me some. What type would you like to hear, I may just know one?"

"Hmmmm..." Sam hummed as he scratched his chin in thought. "Well, since the sun is almost down, how about a lullaby to wind down. Then maybe you could play something more upbeat tomorrow, if it's not too much trouble?"

"As you wish," she said. Holding the instrument to her lips she played a soft melody that was calm and gentle. The song was not one you would recognize as any regular lullaby, but it was truly lovely.

Sam listened intently to Shenon's song. It sounded strange and unfamiliar to him, yet so warm and welcoming. It made him feel all fuzzy inside, had was having the effect one would expect lullaby to have. It was making him feel a little sleepy. He let out a small yawn as he felt his eyelids get a little heavy.

"Good," Shenon thought. "Soon, he is ready now to wait for him to sleep."

The thought of being put to sleep by a song seemed a little embarrassing and silly to Sam. After all, he was a young man, not a baby. The most that soft, gentle notes should have been able to do to him is just help him relax a bit more.
But he couldn't help but be lulled by Shenon's peaceful song. He had never heard something as relaxing as this in his entire life. After merely a few minutes, everything faded to black for Sam as he went out like a light.

She played for a few seconds longer, then puts down the flute. She moves over to the man. Her eyes changed their color. The pupil and iris turned to an icky purple and the white a dark black. She leans down like she was going to give him a kiss. Opening her mouth, a vapor seeps out of Sam's mouth and into her's and she inhaled. Closing her eyes she silently swallows the vapor. She than lets out a breath as she opened her eyes.
Shenon is not a normal woman or even human. The name of her kind has been lost, but the most likely name was soul sucker. But not precisely what she was. The vapor that came out of Sam was not his soul, Shenon took a year of his life off. That's what her species do, feed of the youth of others to preserve their own. If Sam were to live for 100 years she had shortened it to 99.

Sam seemed totally unaffected by what had just transpired. He did not wake to the vapor being sucked out of his mouth, nor did he so much as twitch as a whole year of life was stolen from him. He simply continued to slumber happily.

Others of her kind had a habit of taking the years all at once from their victims. It's painful so the prey finds out what's happening to them, but Shenon does it one year at a time. It's painless and the victim will never know what has happened to them. Leaning in she goes and takes another year from him. And another.
Shenon pulls back done for the night. Three years is a good start. If she takes too many more now, Sam will notice something and it'll deteriorate his health. For the best years are when the prey in a happy mood, that's why she did all those things for him, all to make him a more tender meal.
Shenon gets up from the bed as her eyes returned to their other self, a normal human eye. She then leaves the room and heads to her bed to sleep

Sam opened his eyes, and sat up with surprise. The room was lighter, and the air temperature was warmer. Was it morning already? The last thing he remembered was Shenon playing beautiful music on her flute. It was almost as if he blinked, and suddenly it was the next day.
"Shenon?" he called, not seeing his caretaker anywhere in the room.

Shenon slept like a log through the night. When she heard Sam's voice she got up feeling reguvinated thanks to the years she took. Out of bed she walks over to her mirror. She looked at the gray strand and saw a third of it has gone back to it's natural color. "Ill need more later."
Shenon comes into the room she left her guest in. "Did you call?"

Sam gave an embarrassed smile at the sight of her entering the room. "Yeah, I did. I didn't really need anything, I was just wandering if you were still here or if you went out again. Sorry if I woke you."

"No worries, I got plenty of sleep. How was you'rs and do your injuries feel any better?" Of course since she took years off of him during the night his body wouldn't have done much in healing, which she already knew
