The second jolt had gone through the branches reaching Mera and much like before, his coils closed in around where Emiko was supposed to be. When this happened the first time, his sleep addled mind thought nothing of it. The second time however was when something seemed off. There was nothing in his coils, no soft human girl, not even the prey he was chasing down in his dream. It didn't acknowledge it as Emiko being free quite yet, but this dissonance between dream and reality was enough to wake Mera up from his slumber. "It's rude of you to disturb my slumber, especially when I'm with company." That's when it hit him.
In the coiled mound where a sleeping Emiko once was was now empty. Mera was upset that this had happened and more over was wondering how. How could something practically laid out perfectly for him go this awry. Fortunately he soon spotted his missing guest free from the coils. "Going for a morning stretch?" Mera kept his words sounding friendly much like the night before, but didn't hesitate to close the distance between them. In a matter of seconds his neck loosely draped around her shoulders with his head right in front of hers.

As silly as it was for Emiko to overlook, she hadn't really considered how the noises she was waking might stir the snake from his sleep. With all the ruckus and movements she had made thus far, it was honestly a miracle she HADN'T woken the snake up. She had been lucky to this point. However, her last fall onto the branch turned out to be the straw that broke the camel's back... Mera wasn't asleep anymore after that, and her situation became much, much worse.
When he first woke up, Emiko failed to notice it at all. She just stood back up to her feet, brushed off the bark-bits from her dress, and prepared for another go at getting to a lower branch. Just as she was about to make that attempt though, she heard Mera speaking directly behind her... This immediately froze her, and she gasped in shock suddenly remembering how fragile her situation was. She slowly started to turn hoping that she was just hearing things, but...it would turn out that she wasn't...
Emiko had barely turned a quarter of the way back towards Mera before he closed the distance between them, and draped his neck onto his shoulders. The movements were swift and so unexpected that Emiko nearly lost her balance to the sudden weight on her shoulders. She needed just a second or two to regain her footing, but that was more than enough time for Mera to get into position. And by the time Emiko looked up, there the snake was right in her face, staring into her eyes...
"O-oh...no..." She'd lightly muttered nervously realizing what she had done. Not wanting to tip Mera off that she was concerned about him though, she tried her best to twist and reframe her words in the hopes of NOT sounding scared. Doing her best to cover up nervousness that was easily noticeable to anyone with eyes...
"N-no, not r-really. I just...um...well, you were sleeping so soundly, and...and..." She tried to say, scurrying around for an excuse only to throw out the first thing that came to mind. "...I didn't want to...to wake you? Yeah, that's it... It's still really early in the morning. So I...I thought I'd find s-some place else to sleep just a little longer..."
Emiko didn't know if what she said would convince the snake that her escaping his coils was an innocent act. She hoped to deflect suspicion that she was trying to get away, and that she didn't truly trust Mera. However, her wods were hardly convincing, and her actions spoke a lot louder. Her eyes betrayed her as well as they were filled with concern. It was true that Emiko didn't exactly know Mera's true intent, but it was painfully obvious that she didn't trust him.

Now did Mera completely believe what Emiko had told him, not necessarily The concern in her eyes, among other things gave her away that something else had led to this decision. But still he didn't want to scare her immediately or anything that would make getting her back into the coils that she worked so hard to get out of. Instead he would play along, try to ease some of her worries. Really it would be his was of subtly subduing her again. So he smiled and started to spin slowly and by using Emiko as a spool, form a coil around her shoulders to give her a firm hug of sorts. "I do appreciate the concern, but I went to all the trouble of making sure you were comfortable during the night." He spun her again, slowly to wind another coil around her body. He hadn't forgotten about what he had observed last night. Let's see how well it worked when she wasn't under hypnosis.
Mera stopped when she would be looking at the now messy pile of coils she had escaped from. "And, as you can see, you were safe throughout the entire night. So tell me, why would you try to leave after what we had agreed upon last night?" Using the coils currently around her, the serpent walked Emiko closer to the pile. All that progress that she made, slowly being undone with ease. As for the matter of the deal, she may have been under his hypnosis when she had properly agreed to everything, but the deal itself should be something that she recalled. "Still seeing as you're awake now, did you at least enjoy your slumber dear?"

Emiko wasn't quite sure what to expect in the coming moments. She could tell just by looking at Mera that he wasn't exactly buying her lie. And if he was, that didn't stop him from seeming eager to keep her around. What he decided to do next though really sent for her for a loop. Quite literally, in fact.
Using the coil he had around her shoulder, the serpent gently tugged at Emiko causing her to spin in place forming a thick coil around her shoulders. That rotation was followed by another that saw another coil form just under the first starting the formation of what seemed like another cocoon. These rotation-actions were quite unexpected, and the swiftness of which caused her to feel a bit dizzy initially. Somehow though, there was a light blush on her cheek that just seemed to pop out of nowhere...
She was lost in a bout of dizziness for a moment when Mera worked to try and assure her that she had been kept safe all night long after 'agreeing' to their deal last night. Something she barely had a chance to think about before the snake used the weight of just the few coils around her to tug her towards the cocoon she had just recently vacated. She did try to resist this tug, but her sensitive bare feet couldn't do much to grip onto the bark of the tree without hurting herself.
After the tug over, she shook her head a bit to clear out any of the remaining dizziness and gulped seeing herself right back at the edge of where she had escaped from... A pile of unraveled coils that the snake seemed keen on getting her back into. And the process was already beginning in some ways... How could she get out of this...?
"...I...I can't say that...I remember much of what happened last night..." Emiko answered, trying to keep focused on the conversation with her words, but letting her mind try to think of ways to get out of this now... "...Maybe I'm still just...a little sleepy and it hasn't all came back to me yet... Unless...you did something...strange to me...?"

"Strange? The only thing strange I did was let you sleep in my coils." He said with a chuckle. Deliberately he left out any mentioning of his hypnosis. Revealing that now didn't seem like the smartest of moves when trying to assure one that all is well. There would be plenty of time for that revelation later, especially while its' being used on her. "If you're sleepy still, then perhaps a walk is what you need. After all I did still promise to guide you to safety."
That was when Mera turn Emiko towards an opening in the canopy, one that would give her a clear view of not only the beautiful jungle setting, but the direction of civilization. Least the way that lead further away from where she wanted to go. He didn't know exactly where it was, but he did have a general idea. Moreover he knew exactly where to go to lead her further and further away from help. This current situations might have been unplanned for, but not enough to hinder him truly. In a show of good faith, the coils loosened slightly. Not enough for her to slip out, but just enough for her to not feel uncomfortable. "I can carry you back down to the ground if you like."

Mera didn't tell her anything that would hint to what he had really done to her last night. Just that he let her sleep in his coils with no further explanation... No clue as to HOW he got her there, or how she could have slept so deeply last night without waking once. That in of itself was weird if only because she was in a foreign place, and could only really sleep soundly in her own bed. How Mera managed to do it was...anyone's guess...
Even still, despite not knowing what Mera did, Emiko knew better than to let herself trust the snake too much. Something about him just felt really off after the previous night. And now, where he was inclined to keep his distance last night, he was all over her today quite keen on keeping her in his coils. There was something in this situation that he just wasn't saying right now...
Her thoughts on the matter would momentarily shift when the snake mentioned their deal of him helping her get back home. For the briefest moment, she perked up thinking perhaps he might at least keep his word on the matter. But that nagging feeling inside of her pulled her back to reality not to trust him. Not right now, at least when there were too many unknowns.
"...Carry me...down to the ground? N-no, you don't have to do that." Emiko would reply, taking the 'good faith' move of his coils loosening around her upper body to try and wiggle them off of her. That...without much success...
"...I...appreciate your help and all... For...keeping me safe, and helping me sleep soundly. But...I think maybe I can take it from here..." She'd respond again, still trying to lift the coils off of her shoulders, and off of her body. "...If you could...just point me in the right direction...I'm sure I can handle it... Um...if you could...also let me...go?"

This was...unexpected. Mera had thought by continue to play nice and friendly with the girl, she would continue to believe his words. Not letting whatever moments of doubts that sprung up interfere with what he was telling her. Instead here she was, stating that she would not only be fine on her own, but wanted to be let go from his coils. It was as unexpected as it was surprising and it left him with a choice on how to proceed.
Naturally he could just grab her, force her into his coils again and carry on like nothing had happened. Sure Emiko would likely try to resist, fight back even. But let's be honest, there wasn't a whole lot that she could do against a serpent of his size if he really wanted to. A sound idea...if not for the irreparable damage such an act would be sure to do to their 'relationship'. He still wanted her to trust him to some degree if not just for the sake of his games.
Thus the second option of actually letting her go. He could just point her in the direction he wanted her to go, tail after her and still have his fun. While this would likely leave her suspicious as to why he was following her, a well placed lie or two could smooth that over. Yes, the more Mera thought about it, the more he liked it. Which showed by the smile that grew on his face.
"Very well, if that is what my guest desires." His coils loosened further and lifted off Emiko's body. "You saw the direction I showed you?" His tail pointed that way again in case she hadn't "Just head that way and you're sure to reach civilization."

If Mera were to grab a hold of Emiko and force her into his coils, that would have spelled the end of any hope he had of her trusting him. Not only that, even if he would ultimately win, she'd still fight back and prove to be a great deal of trouble... As it was, she was just suspicious of the python right now without really knowing his true motives. So choosing to forgo a forceful option was indeed the right call.
Not only was it a good call, it was a rather unexpected one as Emiko was quite surprised when the snake just accepted her answer. To her surprise, he actually lifted the coils off of her body, and pointed her in the direction that she needed to go. It...was a lie of course, but she didn't know that. It wasn't like knowing whether a snake was being truthful or not was an exact science.
Even still, after he released her and pointed her in the direction she needed to go, Emiko would shift her attention from that direction to Mera, and back again. She kept looking for any signs that he might be making things up, or that things weren't what they seemed. But...she couldn't really tell anything just by looking at him. So...for all tense and purposes, she had to assume that he was telling the truth.
Feeling at least a little satisfied with that, she just gave him a smile and turned in the direction he had pointed. The only problem was...'that way' couldn't exactly be traveled if she didn't get down to the ground. She was not Tarzan, and couldn't swing through the trees. And the snake's coils behind her blocked her from getting to the tree trunk. The only real way down was...to go back to her former method of trying to branch-hop down. But...that had some risks involved all on it's own...
Emiko considered what she should do for a moment before starting to look around the tree for another possible way down. Some sort of vines, or...something that she could use to get down in a hurry. Yet, anywhere she looked, there was no where really for her to go. It never dawned on her last night that when she climbed up here that she'd not be able to get down as easily. And doing this barefoot? That felt...impossible... Yet silently, she continued to look about trying to piece...something together...

Ironically Mera's offer to carry her back down was the one gesture that didn't have any strings attached or hidden motives. It really would've been no trouble to carry her down, but to keep up the act of letting Emiko go he didn't push the matter. Nor did he wish to watch her struggles in trying to find a way down. Humans weren't the most adept at quickly climbing up and down trees. Even the act of slowly climbing down one had its share of risks for them. SO Mera decided to do her this one favor.
While Emiko looked around, Mera coils moved around and shuffled. The mound in which held Emiko through the night fully unraveled and lowered down towards the jungle floor while the rest above anchored to the tree trunk. In a sense, he'd formed the perfect 'vine' for Emiko to use and use a quick, gentle caress of her feet to make her aware of it's presence. "I know you said you'd handle it yourself, but I'd hate to see you get hurt trying to get down from here. At least allow me to do this one last thing for you."

Emiko was so preoccupied trying to find a way down that...she didn't initially notice it when Mera unraveled his coils and allowed them to fall down to the jungle floor below. He essentially created the perfect path that would take her down to the jungle floor below. However, her eyes were elsewhere looking for her own way to get out of the tree. At least...until the snake rubbed his coils against her feet.
Upon feeling this, she immediately gasped and looked down at her feet with a blush to finally see the 'vine' of his coils. She was momentarily confused by this, but Mera was quick to point out that he was only doing it because he didn't want to see her hurt or anything. She looked up to him with her still blushing face and...was momentarily lost for words.
What could she say? She didn't exactly trust the snake, and...her actions had made that perfectly clear. Yet...here he was seemingly trying to do a good thing for her despite how she was feeling about him... Was this really what it seemed? A gesture of good faith? Or...was it perhaps a trap just so he could get her in his coils again...? Was...she maybe just overthinking this and should just accept the offer...?
Emiko was still silent as she considered her options, but...started to realize she had no real way out of this tree. Not unless she took the snake-express down. And if he was offering...was it wise of her to turn it down...?
"...A-are...you sure about this...?" Emiko asked, her voice a bit more shaky than before which...was surprising. Did stroking her foot do that to her? She cleared her throat a moment later and tried to speak more strongly.
"...I don't...want to be a burden more than I already have... I also don't know if I...feel right to just...use your body like that... It feels...mean to just use you as a vine..."

"A burden? Dear girl I assure you that you've been nothing of the sort. You have my full permission to use my tail as a means to get down to the ground." Mera said with a simple friendly smile. The reaction to his coils brushing her feet was still favorable and it confirmed that her feet were the best weakness of hers to use in or out of a trance. Of course her earlier blush when she was spun in his coils didn't go unnoticed either. He planned to try to explore this later, so he wouldn't allow himself to get to ahead of himself yet. After all Emiko still needed to accept his gesture of good faith.

There were still some reservations within Emiko to accept his offer. What happened last night wasn't exactly lost on her. The memory was, perhaps, but that experience she had been through wasn't far from her mind. Mera had done something weird to her that allowed him to get her entirely in his coils. And all that seemed to happen when she gave him just a little space to work with. So naturally, accepting his offer and allowing him to help her was basically giving the snake an 'inch' she feared could be taken for a mile. But...was there any other option to consider...?
She was still hesitant, and thinking through the other options at her disposal. However, there were none at all to consider. So, against her better judgement, she did finally decide to take Mera up on his offer. At least, with the intention of sliding down to the jungle floor, and being on her way as quickly as possible. No dilly dallying, or wasting any time. Slide down his tail to the jungle floor, get her shoes, and be on her way. If...only it were that simple...
Without saying a word, Emiko made her way over towards where Mera's tail was positioned and lowered herself to sit onto the branch. This allowed her to grab onto his tail as if it were a rope. And after getting a good grip, she slipped off of the branch and started to slide down towards the jungle floor below. However, she was far from an expert in rope-descent, and...it showed.
Emiko had barely slide a few feet down when her hand-grip became a full on embrace with her arms firmly holding onto the snake's body. In somewhat of a panic, Emiko ended up trying to control and slow her descent by digging her feet into the snake's body to create traction. Not even thinking about it though, this caused a grinding sensation against her sensitive skin that was...very pleasing to the touch.
At this point, the slide down had turned into a pleasure-grind that made Emiko's body shutter and shiver in a way she didn't intend for it to. In a sort of reactionary move, she was forced to throw her feet forward and wrap her legs firmly against Mera's body to create the traction she needed without the pleasure of his scaley touch. But despite that, Emiko still somehow found her feet arching down and back towards Mera's body causing her entire soles to be exposed to the sliding-grind now...
Unfortunately for Emiko, there was very little she could do after this to stop the snake's scales from pleasuring her soles. How she was so tightly wrapped with her arms and legs around Mera's body, her grip remained steadfast as much as her position did. So that meant that for the remainder of the slide down, it was a constant exposure-grind of Mera's scales on her feet...
Needless to say, this had...quite an impact on poor Emiko. Enough so that, it wasn't too long before she started to involuntarily let out little moans of pleasure as she slid down. Her grip on Mera's body also seemed to tighten and...there seemed to be a slight shiver in her hold. These were the signs that would be easily noticed physically. Mentally though, the effects wouldn't show until the ride was done. But...they would indeed be noticeable.
Going through such a blissful experience, by the time that Emiko had reached the ground and her descent stopped, she was...kind of out of it. Her body came to rest on the ground, but Emiko still held onto Mera's body tightly seemingly paralyzed. She stared out into space with a vacant expression showing herself in an obvious daze, and couldn't bring herself to say anything right away. Not only that, but...there was also a noticeable blush about her cheeks... Poor Emiko had worried about something going wrong, but she could have never anticipated something like this... Being in a serious daze from just a short scale-grind against her soles...

While Emiko was contemplating the risks of potentially letting Mera have his way, the serpent himself did nothing but wait for her to accept his offer. Keep showing her that he meant no harm, that she could trust him and use that to his advantage. Oh how he looked forward to having some more fun with Emiko later on, with no interruptions at all.
Now when Emiko had finally grabbed onto his tail and started to slid down, he thought nothing of it. She was perfectly light so that there was no risk of hurting him. Then he felt her grip tighten. Specifically speaking it was when the soles of her feet started to grind against his scales that he felt something rather...enjoyable. Last night he was too preoccupied with the potential meal that had wandered up to his tree to truly noticed how nice her feet felt against his soles at the time. Now however, he noticed just now nice and wonderful her soft soles felt against his scales. It even cause a brief shiver up his spine.
"My, that was quite nice." He mused to himself. He allowed himself to take in the bliss from that experience before moving down to where Emiko was and chuckling seeing her. The way she clung onto his tail, the adorable blush on her face. Truly she wasn't making it easy to simply let her go off on her own. Still he had to do what he had to and with a chuckle, he spoke. "You're safe now my dear, back on the ground." His words were a whisper as he spoke right next to Emiko's ear. "Unless you'd prefer an escort, I'd be more than happy to let you hold onto my tail longer if so."

As intoxicating as the experience was for Mera, it seemed to be twice as much so for poor Emiko. The naive girl really had such a weakness to her soles that even the faintest traces of exposure were enough to break her resolve. So...for her soles to be exposed to the descent-grind against his scales for the duration that she was had left her practically melted in bliss...
For several moments after landing on the ground, Emiko couldn't really do much of anything other than sit there clinging to Mera's tail tightly. She was just so overwhelmed by what she had just experienced and was still attempting to process it all. Her senses were more or less blocked and her body paralyzed by the pleasure. It would pass soon enough, but...how long til it did? And what damage might be done before then?
It was difficult to say how long it was until Mera came down to speak to her again. When he had, he stated out the obvious that she had landed on the ground and hinted it was safe to rise again. However, Emiko still found herself in that paralyzed state where she couldn't quite move her legs. Or...any part of her, for that matter. As such, she just stayed clinging to the snake's body while sitting helplessly on the ground. The next thing Mera offered though did...rile up something in her... Sort of...
Mera slithered to Emiko's ear where he seductively whispered that he could escort her back home and was happy to let her hold onto his tail a while longer. To this offer, Emiko was inwardly adamantly opposed to the idea. But her body right now in this paralyzed state? She couldn't bring herself to show the resolve that she had within her. She did manage to settle just long enough to speak, but even her words and protests left much to be desired.
"...S-stay on holding your t-tail...? N-no, I...I don't think I...I need that... I...I need to...to..." She tried to say, just trailing off with her mind in a haze. Seemed that trip down the tail had really blanked her. Who was to say what would happen to her until she got control of her senses?

Her words made it clear that her resolve was shaking which he would use to his advantage. "No please, I insissssst." Mera continued whisper his words into Emiko's ear, the soft seductive tone fully setting in. As he did this tail moved slightly. Not enough to really move Emiko or loosen her grip, but just enough so that she could feel his soft scales rubbing against her soles once again. "I can tell you're still worried about being in my company and I don't blame you. But haven't I been nothing but helpful?" That was true to a point. Nothing he'd done so far had any ill will behind it.
His tail continued to press against Emiko's soles. Slow, gentle movements as best as he could without disturbing her. This light massage treatment wouldn't be much compared to the full slide down his tail did, but in her current state just consistently caressing her soles should be enough to keep her dazed as she was. "With me in your company, no other danger would dare try to harm you." Mera continued to speak his half truths into Emiko's ear.
